Staff very friendly, nice pitches, located by the river and right by the outdoor pool, central, stores within walking distance, very dog friendly
Olumsuz yanları
Very narrow entrance, water temperature of the indoor pool very cold, the whole place should be spruced up a bit because everything is getting old and dingy
Beautifully situated campsite
I can't quite agree with some of the negative reviews. Yes, it is true that the place is getting on in years and it should be renovated all around. It looks a bit run down in places. But the sanitary facilities are cleaned daily and the operator can't help it if guests don't leave them tidy.
The staff... is very friendly and dog-friendly. The pitches are nice, unfortunately the entrance is very narrow.
The site is centrally located by the river and right next to the outdoor pool. There is a bread roll service. The indoor pool was very cold in May and unfortunately not 26°C. You feel comfortable here.

On the edge of the Black Forest - well located - close to
A friendly, motivated young team welcomes campers at reception. The campsite was founded back in 1961 by Max and Inge Wiesler, which is why many of the pitches are larger and more suited to small to medium-sized vehicles. However, the campsite can also accommodate campers with large caravans or motorhomes.... However, you should enquire about the available pitches in advance. The campsite in Staufen is located between a railroad line and the Neumangen river. The entire site and the buildings exude the charm of the 50s/60s. The infrastructure on the site leaves nothing to be desired. There is a good WiFi network as well as TV connections on the pitch. Everything is functional, but not everything is state of the art
A small indoor pool can be used all year round during opening hours. However, the water depth of 1.25 m is not really suitable for swimming. However, the pool offers families with children an alternative in bad weather. In summer, the outdoor pool just a few meters from the campsite is also included in the price. A large children's playground is just a few meters from the campsite.
The surrounding area on the edge of the Black Forest offers a wide range of leisure activities. Cycling through the Rhine Valley, past the foothills of the Black Forest, through idyllic wine villages and even a city trip to Freiburg make the Belchenblick campsite a great base.
With the visitor's tax paid, guests also receive a local transport ticket that can be used on public transport to the Swiss border.
Shopping facilities are available in a small store on the campsite, and there is also the option of stocking up on everything you need in the various stores and discounters in Staufen, around 2 km away.
Staufen can be reached on foot in around 15 minutes and offers numerous cafés, restaurants and shopping facilities. The historic town center with the all

Sanitary totally outdated, dirty, in building 1 the water did not work at all or not properly for 3 days Catering is non-existent and some of the buildings are totally run-down
Stay July/August 2022
This year was our 9th time in Staufen at the Belchenblick campsite - you could say we are regular customers. Unfortunately, the operators have failed to carry out urgently needed renovations. The sanitary facilities are totally outdated, were very dirty and the water in building 1 didn't work properly... or at all for several days. Our reservation was non-existent (although we had already booked a year ago). The reception is only staffed to a very limited extent. Emergency number does not work (we had a power problem in the evening) etc.

We can't explain how such a well-located campsite can be run down like this.

The front pitches still have no water connection.

In any case, we won't be back until various renovations have been carried out here.

Olumsuz yanları
Cleanliness not recognizable, no hygiene, no disinfection. Place unkempt. Kiosk not recommended.
Campsite 🙈
A lot of money for no real value. As I said, especially showers very outdated and not clean. Partly mold in the corners, ceiling, etc.
Anyone who gives ratings from good to very good here is a fake or lives under similar conditions at home. Staff is very helpful. We looked at the rental apartment - absolute no go. Not recommended!
The owner apparently only wants to make money but not invest anything.
So again - hands off!

Proximity to Staufen
Olumsuz yanları
No direct rail connection. In great need of renovation!
Square in great need of renovation
The campsite is conveniently located for a walk to Staufen or Münstertal. Unfortunately, the Münstertalbahn runs past the campsite. It is therefore quicker to get to Staufen from the train station at the Münstertal campsite than from here on foot. The sanitary facilities in the front area offer bathrooms... with showers, washbasins and toilets, but are not sufficient even when the site is not full. Cleaning is done daily, but apparently never behind the doors and under the radiators. During the daily wait for a free cabin, I was able to observe spiders weaving on the ceiling. And that for 10 days. The glazing on the inside of the showers was totally smeared and slippery, it was a real mess. The entire sanitary facilities were old, filthy and black. The other two sanitary buildings were still made of old wooden walls like 50 years ago. The swimming pool didn't appeal to me either, it didn't make an inviting impression at all. So, the campsite is in need of complete renovation and requires some investment, which the current owner is probably not prepared to pay for. To call the kiosk a restaurant would probably require a slightly better offer. At best a snack bar. The bread rolls were unfortunately also very soft, which is probably why many guests drove to the bakery in Staufen. We will only visit this place again when an extensive renovation has taken place. Why the place has 4 stars is completely beyond me!

Close to the town (Staufen) Ideal for cycling tours on signposted cycle paths. Also a beautiful area for hikers.
Olumsuz yanları
Railroad line right next to the campsite, with little traffic. Hardly disturbing. Pitches should be a little larger
Top for cyclists and hikers
Very friendly reception. Unfortunately a bit long lunch break. Accompanied briefing on the pitch. Showers without tokens in individual cubicles with washbasin and WC. Unfortunately, the pitches were a little tight, but no problem with mutual respect. Absolutely good value for money

Exceptional campsite
We (my wife and I, over 60) were there from 6/29 - 7/13/19. Very friendly and helpful owners and staff. Kiosk with good food. Atmospheric concerts (free) in the square. It was very hot, but the boss had a great shady spot for us. We immediately felt at home - and would happily return.

The older sanitary building - well.
Guys, give me a break
If you don't want to make friends with the 80s charm - please visit the other sanitary building: Lots of individual cubicles (shower, WC, washbasin), without any Euro sinks. And what else? Waste water on site, free WLAN everywhere, large pitches. And the people? Friendly, attentive, helpful. I come back regularly!

Beautiful place on the outskirts of Staufen
Nice central location on the outskirts of Staufen. Very nice and helpful operators. The facilities are a bit dated, but were always clean. The train runs right past the pitch but doesn't disturb. There is a small store and restaurant on the site. But you don't have to use them, as Staufen is about 1.5... km away. There are bakers, butchers etc. and excellent restaurants. It doesn't have the standard of the Cp "Münstertal", but is significantly cheaper.
