Unprofessional and aggressive staff at the front desk. Security was called over a simple question about the checkout date. Management refused to speak with us
Aggressive staff reaction to a simple question about the checkout date
Before our stay, I contacted the campground office to ask if we could arrive a day earlier than our reservation. I received confirmation that this was fine. Upon arrival, I asked several times whether we could decide during our stay whether to leave a day early or stay until the original date. This was... important to me, so I brought it up more than once. I was told not to worry about it—I just needed to provide my departure date so that the front desk wouldn’t release the spot in the online system.

When we ultimately decided to leave a day early, the woman at the front desk reacted in a surprisingly aggressive manner. I felt very uncomfortable. She called a security guard and left the office. We were also denied the opportunity to speak with the campground manager. The entire situation was completely unnecessary and disproportionate. The staff behaved unprofessionally and with hostility toward a guest who simply wanted to clarify the terms of their stay.

Beautiful place above the Soca
All basics available, quite full in summer. clean sanitary facilities. Small bar available. Shopping in Bovec.

Very close to the river. A short walk from the town of Bovec. Beautiful location for hiking. In the mountain centre - the centre of the fighting in WW1.

Camp Vodenica by Bovec
Nicely located clean and quiet campsite close to the river. Part of the campsite under trees, but also in an open area for larger groups.
Social facilities of a decent standard.
Existing tents with basic kitchen facilities (shared kitchens) can also be booked.
Nearby are other campsites (practically... connected), where there is also a restaurant.
Friendly service, owner.

The campsite is a short walk from the cable car to the top of Kanin mountain, where you can walk on moderate terrain to the peaks.
A few kilometres from Bovec is the town of Kobarid and its museum dedicated to WW1.
It is a starting point for canyoning, river rafting, zip line, mountain hiking, hiking about WWI and more.

The town of Bovec has a gas station and plenty of shops and good restaurants.
