Just the location
Olumsuz yanları
The restrooms are a disaster—luckily, we didn’t need to use them. The kitchen looks dirty, too— I wouldn’t eat here! 34 euros for one night—cash only and no proper receipt—is questionable. Too bad—this place deserves better 😢
Happy Holiday Campground
I can only give this place
1 star for its location.
It's a shame, because it's such a great spot—this place doesn't do it justice.
It's not good publicity.

The panoramic view of Beilstein is beautiful, especially from under the trees at shaded site 15 and all around! Flat ground with electricity available! It’s also a quiet spot, though it’s located near the main road!!
Olumsuz yanları
The price is 34€/night.?? Reception desk—not enough information! Restrooms! Showers??? Cafeteria?
Campervan Stay on the Moselle!
The restrooms are a disaster—since the toilets aren’t maintained at all (no scrubbing, no cleaning, no sanitizing), the toilet bowls are half-broken, the doors are warped and falling apart, let alone closing properly!
The showers and sinks—oh my! Same story: broken doors, faulty lighting, clogged drains,... mold all around the plastic panels, etc... 0/10!! Absolutely scandalous!!
The cafeteria is outdated, but a makeover could give it a whole new look, right? Around the garden, the wooden benches, etc., the children’s playground equipment is in poor condition, and there’s no safety around it at all!! The trash is completely in plain sight at the restaurant’s entrance!! Not to mention the smell, flies, and other pests it attracts?
The attached fry shop seems neglected to me—the equipment (4L fry pot) is too small to ensure a continuous supply of food. Plus, there’s no smoking ban inside!
Billing upon leaving the campground??? Nothing—we received no bill at all? Frankly, this campground could be the jewel of the Moselle with a thorough renovation—why is it being so neglected?? It’s a scandal, in my opinion, when it could be (and was!) such a wonderful project! The former owners are turning in their graves! Sorry, but that’s just how it is. Best regards.

The campground is beautifully situated right on the Moselle, with a view of Beilstein
Olumsuz yanları
The restroom facilities are in urgent need of renovation; the showers are no longer fit for use.
Rating
The campground is in a beautiful location right on the Moselle, with a lovely view of Beilstein. The staff is friendly, and the snack bar and restaurant are okay. The restroom facilities are in desperate need of renovation—the toilets are completely outdated, and the showers are filthy and moldy; no one should have to use them.

A unique view of Beilstein
Olumsuz yanları
A plumbing facility that's showing its age and has hygiene issues
Unique view of Beilstein, but there is significant room for improvement
For over 40 years, our family has been drawn back to this campground time and time again. The location, with its unique view of Beilstein, is simply beautiful and, for us, remains one of the most beautiful spots along the Moselle.

After the change in management in 2025, we had high hopes, especially... regarding the restroom facilities and hygiene. The manager and the entire staff are very friendly, helpful, and dedicated. We personally don’t mind paying in cash, as this has always been the practice. We do find it a bit unusual, however, that you don’t receive a receipt. Opinions may vary on the fact that the entire stay must now be paid for in advance.

It’s also somewhat confusing that the website states the showers are free, but on-site you have to purchase shower tokens.

Unfortunately, our biggest criticism is the restrooms and the shower house. The fact that the buildings are a bit older isn’t a problem for us in principle. What’s much more serious, however, is the lack of cleanliness. The restrooms often look dirty and have an unpleasant odor. Last year, the operator announced that the restrooms were scheduled to be renovated in 2026. Unfortunately, this has not happened yet. While new plastic sheeting on the showers is a visual improvement, it does not solve the actual problem.

Overall, the value for money is acceptable, and the fantastic location makes up for a lot. Nevertheless, we’re actually considering whether we’ll come back again next year. The hygienic conditions of the restrooms have now reached a point where they no longer allow for a relaxing vacation for us.

We would very much like to see some investment made here soon. Then this campground would have the potential to once again become a place that we—as we have for the past four decades—can wholeheartedly recommend.

-Older sanitary facilities
A beautiful place with super nice operators
The site is very well located, directly opposite the picturesque village of Beilstein. The pitches are large and very well maintained. We were there with our Morelo (9.60 m long) and on almost all pitches you are in the front row directly on the Moselle. The campsite is run by a very nice family. They... really do everything they can to make their guests happy. Dogs are also warmly welcomed and there is no shortage of treats. Our Carlos (Doodle) is also very happy!
We like to visit the restaurant on the square, my husband is a total fan of the currywurst that is offered there, but whether currywurst, schnitzel or hamburger it all tastes very delicious. The price/performance ratio is definitely right.
We feel completely at home here and always enjoy coming back.

Sanitair SLECHT VEROUDERD en TE WEINIG voor zo'n grote camping. NOT CLEAN, SMELLY.
Jammer
Wij adviseren de eigenaar om nieuwe sanitaire units weg te zetten, gebaseerd op de grootte van de camping, wat de camping veel sterren zal geven

The great view of Beilstein. Nice to walk with dogs. Cycle paths available Beautiful fishing right on the water
Olumsuz yanları
Unfortunately, the facility is no longer maintained. Cash payment only. Prices have been increased without changing the internet page
Very disappointed
The campsite has deteriorated a lot due to the new owner. The sanitary facilities are dirty (also the showers) and were not cleaned after request. The entire campsite is unkempt. You had to mow the lawn yourself.
After contacting the staff, only excuses followed.
Rest day on a campsite (Mondays)
Whoever... arrives on this day can take his name on a list with a notice, but everyone can see this. Since it hangs on the window at the registration (no data protection)
People sit outside and do not take care of the facility (stance)
Very, very sad. Because it is a very beautifully located campsite.
For the price, there are clean campsite

The location of the campsite and the pitch directly on the Moselle. The friendliness of the operator The cleanliness of the site Many interesting cycle paths, e.g. through the vineyards

The restaurant is not recommendable in my opinion :(
We were completely satisfied!!!
We stayed at the campsite for 2 weeks. The location, directly on the Moselle with a view of the Metternich castle ruins, is simply fascinating.
The sanitary facilities are not in the most modern condition, but always clean.
From the campsite on the wine route, you can go on a lot of tours by bike. We recommend the path right by the campsite through the vineyards.
The nearby main road is not a problem.

Pitch directly on the water

Surface very soft
Vacation directly on the Moselle
We are friends of simple campsites, without a lot of fancy stuff... This site is one of them.
The pitches are lined up in two rows along the Moselle. We were in the front row and were able to watch the hustle and bustle on the Moselle every day over a nice glass of wine. The number of cruise ships passing... by is considerable.

Excursions on foot and by bike along the Moselle (Moselle cycle path) or through the vineyards - the campsite is a good starting point.
The ferry landing stage to Beilstein is right next to the campsite.
Cochem is 10 km away, Koblenz approx. 60 km.

The sanitary building is simple, but functional and clean.
The restaurant on the site is recommended.
Bread roll service is not offered, shopping facilities can be reached by bike / on foot

This was a really nice place, camping site "HAPPY HOLIDAY" directly on the Moselle opposite Beilstein and Metternich Castle, we stayed longer than planned. The reception in a rustic construction trailer, a small snack restaurant with refreshingly friendly service, an ice cream van with a fun ice cream vendor right next to the site and bus stop next to it, ferry to Beilstein nearby ... and all at moderate prices with a magnificent view. We felt at home there.
Olumsuz yanları
The showers are in a mobile van, but that has to be the case in a potentially flooded area. They were always clean and that's what counts.
Satisfied all round ... great place

Super location with pitches on the Moselle Many cycling options Tasty food in the bistro
Olumsuz yanları
No electricity and water point close to the pitch Sanitary facilities Sink right next to the chemical toilet
Beautifully situated campsite
The campsite offers beautiful pitches. The operator is very friendly and accommodating. The reception is housed in an original construction trailer. The only drawback: the power points are very far apart and the sanitary facilities are outdated but clean. The showers are only accessible via stairs in... a container, not suitable for people with disabilities. Some investment could be made here. The fee could also be raised for this. Otherwise, the price for a pitch is unbeatable.
The bistro on site offers delicious food. Unfortunately no bread roll service. You have to drive 4 km to the neighboring town of Ernst to go shopping.

One of the most beautiful campsites on the Moselle
Top location, very quiet. The campsite is in the only location where there is no railroad thanks to the Kaiser-Willhelm-Tunnel. The site is directly opposite the ruins of Metternich Castle and the Sleeping Beauty of the Moselle, the village of Beilstein. The sanitary facilities are very clean and were... renovated in 2017. It is also possible to moor your own motorboat at a jetty directly at the campsite. The campsite is also very reasonably priced and the operators are very friendly.
