Profil

A beautiful haven of lakes and nature trails awaits you at Wyreside Lakes. Originally a quarry used for sand and gravel extraction, this family run business has been transformed over the years and has won the ‘Cooper Heyman Award’ for …restoration and conservation. The 8 lakes are situated in over 120 acres of land, including the beautiful Fox’s wood with snowdrops, bluebells and a variety of wildlife. It is excellent for walkers and birdwatchers and also has stunning scenery for photography. A mixture of fishing is available including match competitions and corporate entertainment. We have a 4 star rated caravan and campsite which boasts a new toilet and shower block complete with onsite shop and laundry facilities. There is also a disabled / family room with full facilities. On site the Fisherman’s Rest Bar & Restaurant serves traditionally home cooked food, with house specialties served Friday to Sunday. The main bar is open every night throughout the main season. Every weekend (from April – December) there is entertainment provided by the resident DJ and also guest artists, bands and theme nights. If you fancy a weekend break, why not use the onsite accommodation. You can choose between the comfortable Sunnyside farmhouse B&B and the 6 berth Bowland Scandinavian lodge complete with lakeside views.
