Ideal for long walks in the forest
Quietly located site with around 75 pitches, in the middle of a huge forest and heathland area with many small lakes. The rather small pitches are wildly distributed, as the natural vegetation allows. You can choose between pitches with grass (some in less good condition) or with a typical forest floor.... Theoretically, there is a free choice of pitches, but this is severely restricted by rules such as "no dogs in this area" and "vehicles over 5m only there". Registration is a lengthy process, as personal details including pitch number are initially only recorded by hand at the front reception. This paper is later taken to the rear reception where the data is entered into the computer.... and at some point you can then pay at the front. In mid-June, we paid 19.90 euros for a motorhome with 2 people and electricity. Showers are free and WLAN should be freely available at reception. I didn't have sufficient reception with my notebook, but with my smartphone it was just enough for the weather forecast. The surrounding area is great for hiking and cycling. Barbecues are allowed. There are three restaurants/cafés within a radius of about 200m. (The site is run by a volunteer organization called NIVON)
