"Very nice lake / camping with drawbacks - The check-in is uncomplicated. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a small store in reception. However, it is not really suitable for buying groceries. Bread roll service is possible and okay. There is a small bar on the campsite, sometimes with live music in the evening. We were not there. The sanitary facilities are very outdated and there is hardly any storage space in the shower cubicle. The water is hot and you can shower sufficiently with a coin. The kitchen is spacious and equipped with modern electrical appliances. Recommended for campers with a tent. There is a large trampoline for children and also a nice mini golf course (4 people approx. 18 euros). The lake is about 150m down the hill. There is a nice sunbathing lawn and the water is shallow (bathing shoes recommended). A motorboat and some canoes are available at the jetty. We did a day trip on the lake by canoe. As there are hardly any people around and on the lake, it is a wonderful experience. Pure enjoyment. There are small moorings everywhere to relax and swim. I can recommend the place because of the peace and quiet and the lake. If you want something a little livelier and more comfortable, you should perhaps look for something else. Canoeists are definitely in the right place here for day and multi-day tours.

"Insider tip, better than expected! - We were skeptical at first and now we are just happy to have found such a beautiful, quiet and uncrowded campsite right on the lake. Yes, the site and the sanitary facilities are getting on in years but were always clean with enough privacy and we didn't have to queue and wait. Check in was very friendly and you get lots of tips for the surrounding area. There are pitches in the lower area on the meadow or in the upper area. These were very quiet and beautifully situated. Here and there the pitches are a little sloping or uneven but a good camper can cope with that. Cabins in different sizes. Otherwise there is everything you need. Bread rolls, pastries, small store, ice cream. Washing machines, dryers, two kitchens, both with plenty of seating. One kitchen is completely new, the other a little older but fully equipped. All kitchen utensils, dishes, pots, pans etc...you think you are entering grandma's kitchen and want to start cooking immediately. Minigolf, playground, trampoline, restaurant (Wed-Sun). The lake is great, clear and shallow. Good fishing and canoeing area. Boats and canoes for hire. E charging station, bicycle service station. You can start very good bike tours from the site or go hiking or go for a nice walk with your dog. The operators of the site also have the Darlsland Activity Center where you can feed moose, go horseback riding, go climbing, canoeing and many other activities. We went to feed the moose less than 5 minutes from the campsite and went horse riding in the Swedish forests. Really beautiful. For us 5 stars because we felt very comfortable at the campsite and extended our stay from 2 to 3 nights.

"out of date - This was certainly once a nice campsite. Things have gradually broken down and are now just the remains (pool foundations, trampoline scaffolding, broken coffee machine, closed communal areas). The Vandrarhem smells strongly of a defective or old sewage pipe. The staff is nice, but speaks almost no English. The small store is poorly stocked and mainly sells souvenirs. Bus and train timetables are not posted, there are no newspapers, every Friday there is dancing with loud music until midnight - sleep is impossible. The location on the lake is beautiful. The campsite needs a complete overhaul.

" - Spacious pitch with some very uneven pitches, steep slope and poor usability. Mostly without shade! Many asphalted parking spaces for no apparent reason. Sanitary facilities are old, broken and unkempt. Too expensive for that!

" - Beautifully situated on Lake Laxsjön. Canoes can be hired on site. Spacious pitches, some not quite level, chocks necessary. Restaurant and basic supplies on site. Sanitary good and clean. Friendly staff. We would love to come back!
