"Narrow approach - We liked it very much. The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated, everything is very muddy when it rains, even the paved roads.

"Very good campsite near Paris - As we had been there exactly 12 years ago, we thought the campsite was excellent! Everything had really improved, except the satellite reception, as you really are in the deepest forest here! We were here shortly before the 2024 Olympics. The place was crazy full but everything was good! Clean, nice and friendly - not just reception, but also showers and toilets! We were here 12 years ago with a diesel bus, now with a fully electric car (Fisker Ocean ONE) We were able to charge the car on site without any problems (electricity was included!) In Paris as well as Versailles you can use parking spaces for free with an electric car, which otherwise have a daily price of up to 34 €. During our stay there were children's entertainers several times, so that the parents also had some peace and quiet!

"Expensive, a bit noisy, uneven - but the kids loved it here! - Huttopia typically quite expensive and family-hostile pricing - children from 11 pay the full price, so in the low season just under 70€/night for four. A little noisy during the day (6am-10pm, train station nearby). The rather small, uneven pitches require very high wedges so that you can stand up straight, our wedges were not enough. Free Wi-Fi is only available around reception. Apart from the pool, some board games and 1 TV, there are few leisure activities for kids (the adjacent football pitch is not one of them and is often occupied by clubs). No store, hardly any stores within walking distance, so you should stock up outside in good time. We liked the clean wash houses, the proximity to the castle the proximity to the castle (3.5km), the heated pool and the always friendly staff.

"Unfortunately not the best Huttopia - The place is apparently mostly used for transit. Huttopia is usually kept quite chic and well maintained. Unfortunately really loud and mega expensive.

"Beautiful oasis in the middle of the city - The access road can be quite narrow due to parked cars on the last two hundred meters with a trailer. Otherwise a beautiful natural campsite with terraced pitches. Chocks are very useful for some pitches. The reception was friendly. The sanitary facilities are great and clean. Despite the location in the middle of the city, there is no traffic noise. The Palace of Versailles is easily accessible on foot or by bike. We felt at home there.

"We will definitely be back!!! - The ratings from 2015 and earlier are no longer up to date. We have never seen conditions like those shown in the photos anywhere on the site. The sanitary facilities are simple, but absolutely clean. Some of the pitches are not completely flat, but you normally have a wheel chock for that. They are big enough - even for larger caravans with awning/awning + car. Everything has enough space! There are wooden benches and tables on many pitches. The site is absolutely quiet on the edge of the forest and also has an old tree population that offers plenty of shade. The pool isn't very big, but it's definitely enough for cooling off. You don't go on a beach vacation in Paris... There is a small playground and bike rental. The ladies at the registration desk were very friendly and helpful. Free WLAN and internet at the registration desk. The gate is closed at night and you can only enter the site with a code. It's less than a 10-minute walk to the train station and from there it's 20 minutes to the Eiffel Tower. And when you come back from the hustle and bustle of the city, you have absolute peace and quiet in the middle of nature. What more could you want? Only the shopping facilities are somewhat modest. A bakery delivers bread and croissants, and there is also a bakery on the way to the train station. There is a small supermarket nearby, but it is relatively expensive. There is a Lidl about 6 km away. So it's best to bring food from home. The restaurant on site is overpriced. But apart from that: the perfect place for us (family with 2 children and dog)! We will definitely be back! Thumbs up!

Classic camping with stylish accommodations Camping Huttopia Versailles offers 169 pitches. Whether you arrive with a tent, caravan, motorhome, or camper van, there are pitches of different sizes available. You can also rent one of the tents, a hiking cabin, or a bungalow. There's something for every taste – from simple mobile homes to luxurious bungalows with a bathroom and kitchen. Some tents are equipped with a wood stove, so camping is possible year-round. Free firewood is provided, and a little campfire makes camping even more enjoyable! A dip in the pool After a busy day, relax in the heated pool with a sliding roof. There’s a separate wading pool for the little campers. Don’t feel like cooking? On the terrace by the pool, you can enjoy homemade pizzas, local wine, and tasty snacks.
