    Very lonely area
    We stayed at the site on our trip from the Lake District to the east coast, originally intending to stay 4 days, but moved on after two days. We wanted to go hiking, but although there are maps, you can't find the paths. Everything is overgrown, wild, wet - as is often the case in England - it was too uncomfortable for us. We recommend the butcher and the bakery in Hawes!!!
