"Solid natural campsite with weaknesses in service and facilities - The Klaukenhof campsite is quiet and close to nature on a large, well-kept meadow area without fixed pitches. This open layout offers plenty of space and a relaxed atmosphere, especially for guests who appreciate uncomplicated, nature-loving camping. The facilities are kept simple overall. Hot water is only available by inserting a coin - an outdated system that no longer meets the standards of many campsites today. WLAN is not offered and there is no drinking water connection directly at the pitch. A clear point of criticism was the bread roll service: on the website, it is advertised for Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays - but it was not actually offered on Fridays or public holidays. This discrepancy is annoying for guests, especially as they rely on it in advance. Transparent communication or a clear indication on site would have been the least we could have done here. Communication could also be improved in other respects. Important information, such as the codes for the sanitary facilities, was not communicated automatically and had to be requested first. The coordination between the campsite operator and the catering staff seemed disorganized and poorly coordinated. The sanitary facilities were basically functional, but were not well maintained. There is a clear need for action here. The small petting zoo deserves a positive mention - the animals made a good impression and offered added value, especially for children. The playground is okay, but largely without shade, which can be a problem in warm weather. Conclusion: If you want to camp close to nature without any great pretensions, you can find a quiet spot here. However, if you are looking for reliable service, clean sanitary facilities and an offer that matches the online presence, you will be disappointed. The price-performance ratio is currently on the borderline. Much more would be possible with more commitment and better organization.

"Super bad - I saw live how the animals were mistreated by an employee. It was confirmed by a third person in the presence of the groundskeeper that this person had witnessed a similar incident. According to telephone information, the employee in question was probably given a warning and that was it... He is still allowed to work with the animals. In the senior boss's own words: "He has apologized. Sorry, I can't accept that. If that's the way they do business: the animals were mistreated, but the employee apologized... After all, the "poor" employee was on Ramadan. That can't be an excuse. Long story short: we will never come back!!!

"Nice and quiet place - The site is beautifully situated on the canal and is very quiet. Beautiful cycle paths in the area. Given the wealth of sights, 4 days is too short. The restaurant had very tasty food at reasonable prices.
