"Aggressive reception, sanitary facilities very dingy - When we arrived, we were greeted by Mr. Runkel in an extremely aggressive and condescending manner. Yes, we were a little late because of a traffic jam, but we were in constant contact by phone! The objection that we had registered was dismissed with an extremely derogatory hand gesture. Overall, the sanitary facilities were very dingy, especially the showers! A basic cleaning / disinfection is simply missing here. An inspection by the responsible health authority would be urgently needed! Only the toilets themselves were reasonably clean. The mockery was the possibility to empty the chemical toilet! Pictures available. The only hose available had to be used to clean the chemical toilet and to fill water canisters? Thank goodness I had my own filling hose with me! The campsite was busy, but only one of the three showers for men and women was open. Pictures available. No hot water for washing dishes, in fact it was strictly forbidden to get hot water for this purpose. In addition, there is no possibility to wash your dishes (except cold), and this place is miserable. The street is very noisy (except from 2:00 to 4:00, which is fine). The reception was never manned. Overall there is a lot of garbage around the campsite. The shower token does not cost €1 as stated on the internet, but €1.50. When paying, fantasy items were listed and the duration was given incorrectly! When doing further research, please do not confuse this with the campsite in Runkel, "Lahntours-Campingplatz Runkel". This is about 5 km upstream of Limburg/Lahn.

There was no hot water for washing dishes, in fact it was strictly forbidden to get hot water for this purpose. The reception was never manned, if you had any questions you were constantly looking for the groundsman (who was nice by the way). All in all, there was a lot of garbage around the campsite. This is about 5 km upstream of Limburg/Lahn.

"Mala atención al público - Inflexibilidad y falta de amabilidad. Es una lástima que la buena localización del camping se vea perjudica por la poca profesionalidad del trato que ofrecen a los extranjeros.

"Very nice campsite without much comfort! - This place is well maintained and clean. Suitable for boat sports (directly on the quiet Lahn) Friendly staff. The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated but very clean. The pitches are very spacious and the power supply is highly secured and close to the pitch. Unfortunately the traffic road is within earshot. Quiet at night.

"Camping over the long weekend - The site is in a great location, especially for canoeists. It is a flat, spacious, unparceled meadow area. Unfortunately, some "campers" can't manage without parcelling out and almost push their WW into the awning of the other one, although there are still approx. 20000 square meters of meadow area free. The sanitary facilities are new and mostly clean. However, the showers and toilets are quite cramped at peak times. The groundsman is not exactly what you would call friendly if you only want to camp and not book a canoe trip with him. We found it very annoying that, without exception, all the dogs ran around freely and sometimes did their business on the site. We would come back again for a few days. But we would want to spend a 2-week vacation elsewhere.

"Different :-) - The site is right on the Lahn, but on the other side of a road. It is noisy. The sanitary facilities are getting on in years. Toilets close to the site and clean, showers are further away in another building and not nice. Shower chip costs 1 euro.
