"Not worth repeating - We are left with a bit of a bad feeling about this campground. Due to Ascension, it was only possible to make a reservation for a minimum of 7 nights. Therefore, we brought our caravan the weekend before, and went to the campsite ourselves a few days later. To our surprise, upon arrival, the day before Ascension Day, we found that a large group had settled next to us. They had filled everything with tents and caravans facing each other, preventing us from reaching our caravan by car. This not only caused a nuisance, but also raised serious concerns about safety in the event of an emergency. In addition, it turned out that the mandatory minimum stay of 7 nights apparently did not apply to this group - they only stayed 4 nights. This felt like double standards. Moreover, the campground was overcrowded in relation to the sanitary facilities: only 2 showers and 3 toilets for ladies, which was really insufficient for the number of guests. In short, this experience unfortunately did not meet our expectations, and we are unlikely to return here anytime soon.

"Indian summer at a fine campground - We experienced a fine week at this beautiful campground. Close to Edam and Volendam. Everything is easy to reach by bike.

"3 weeks relaxing summer vacation / insider tip! - A place exactly to our taste, a quiet and not too big place in a scenic location. The site is not far from Edam, surrounded by meadows directly on the Markermeer. A farm with around 45 cows belongs to the campsite. Children can go into the cowshed by prior arrangement and accompanied by an adult. There are also rabbits, a pig, chickens and alpacas on the farm. There is also a playground with a trampoline, swing and slide. Various go-karts and pedal tractors can be used free of charge. You can swim and bathe in the Markermeer, you just have to cross a small and little-used path and the dike. The sanitary facilities are new and were always clean. There are a total of 5 showers, 6 toilets and a family bathroom. At peak times there were short waiting times for the showers, but this didn't bother us personally. There is free Wi-Fi, but you shouldn't expect too much here. You can buy meat from the farm's own cattle farm as well as other farm produce such as eggs and cheese. Fresh pizzas from the wood-fired oven are available on Tuesdays and Fridays. Shopping facilities are available in Edam and Volendam. There are many sights and excursion destinations in the surrounding area.

"Had a great time again - This is now my third year on the site and I am still delighted. There is now also a very convenient app that you can use to order first-class goods and find lots of information about the campsite and the surrounding area. Ineke and Suzanne are wonderfully friendly hosts and the men also help wherever they can.

"Beautiful quiet farm campsite - Very nice, small campsite right next to an active farm. Very nice operators who have an answer to all questions. Delicious pizza evening with fresh wood-fired pizza. Great play facilities for children. The rabbit enclosure with petting opportunities was particularly well received, but the goats and alpacas were also very popular. A visit to the cowshed was also always well received. Great cycling opportunities around Edam. Good connections to Amsterdam by bike and bus. As the campsite is in the countryside (approx. 2 km to Edam), bicycles are an absolute must, otherwise you have to use the car all the time.

"First mini camping - Nice little place. Plenty of options for the children. Playground a little older. Super sanitary building and connection to the courtyard. Pizza evening was very tasty. Beach on site not nice, the North Sea 20 minutes away by car is more suitable. Sightseeing in Amsterdam by bus and train recommended. Nice bike tours possible. Shopping and bus station unfortunately further away.

Welcome to Camping Zeevangshoeve, the most beautiful farm campsite in Edam! A holiday in nature is the most beautiful and healthiest way to completely relax and create new memories. A break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A …moment just for you, your family or as a couple. Out of season, you will find peace and quiet here in the middle of nature, while during the school holidays our campsite is pleasantly lively and a real paradise for families with children. Our campsite has 25 spacious pitches for caravans, campers or tents. We offer luxury sanitary facilities and free Wi-Fi. For the children there is a trampoline, swing, slide, various pedal cars and tractors and of course the animals to pet. There are cows, calves, sheep, goats, rabbits, a pig, chickens and alpacas. The campsite is centrally located in North Holland, within walking and cycling distance of Edam and Volendam, in the middle of the meadows along the dike of the Markermeer. The stairs over the dike lead to a recreational beach on the Markermeer. You have a beautiful view over the water and the harbour of Edam. In summer you can swim here, but also sail, kite surf and fish. In the morning you will be awakened by cheerful birds and in the evening you can enjoy the sunset. So you camp in the countryside, but close to cosy towns and villages. Even Amsterdam can be reached in 25 minutes. Explore the picturesque surroundings with wide views by bike (cycle and hiking trails available) or enjoy water sports on and around the Markermeer. You will find all kinds of facilities in the immediate vicinity of the campsite, including supermarkets, cafes and restaurants.
