"Rest - We were on the pitch in the off-season. We arrived, the manager greeted us warmly in German and then showed us a few pitches and left it up to us to decide which one to choose. The campsite is very lovingly landscaped, which is very appealing. The campsite's own sandy beach is well-kept, but the public beaches are untidy. There is a lot of garbage, but also interesting "treasures" from the sea. The sanitary facilities are spartan, but adequate and clean. Bread rolls are available to order, and you can also pre-order in the restaurant. There is nothing in the immediate vicinity of the campsite except fields. You have to be mobile to do anything or to go shopping.

"Perhaps good in the season - Location "in the middle of nowhere", only fields in the surrounding area. Somewhat adventurous and narrow access via farm track. Bread only on reservation at the end of April. Other infrastructure not yet in operation. Old but functional (private) sanitary facilities. Decent pitch, beach not usable (apart from the weather) due to construction work

"Camping mimosa - Quiet family campsite that is ideal for relaxing and unwinding. Super great, well-kept pool, clean beach and sea, bread roll service (pre-order in the evening), restaurant and very friendly manager and staff. Well maintained grounds. Always happy to come back

"Never again Nicotera - Totally neglected surroundings (more details to follow). Pitch and public sanitary facilities were just about acceptable. The booked private toilet and shower were repulsive and therefore not really usable. Unfortunately, the pool smelled excessively of chlorine and was not at all refreshing as it was around 30°C warm. This suggests that the water was not clean. The associated beach section was kept clean, but the adjacent beach was a garbage dump. You could find everything, from all kinds of plastic waste (plastic bottles, bags, etc.) to tin cans, car tires, refrigerators, old furniture and even burnt-out vehicles. The river flowing into the sea was a stinking cesspool. After a stronger wind, the garbage bags were also floating in the water. On a shopping trip on our bikes to nearby San Ferdinando, the entire roadside was littered with all kinds of household waste and the smell was terrible. The houses in the village were a slum, no windows, totally neglected houses that looked dilapidated, plots of land that were also totally neglected and littered. Our conclusion: It was a shame about the long journey and the associated travel costs. We can only hope that the local population will wake up as quickly as possible and realize that they are not only destroying their landscape, but also their livelihood. In any case, we will never visit Nicotera again and, after a few consultations with locals who have emigrated, we will never visit Calabria again.

Il Villaggio Camping Mimosa sorge direttamente sul mare, con spiaggia di sabbia bianca, a 5 chilometri dal centro abitato di Nicotera Marina, sulla costa tirrenica della Calabria. Semplice ma accogliente, offre servizi che vi consentono di dimenticare la macchina e …trascorrere una vacanza rilassante in mezzo alla natura, in un ambiente famigliare e sereno. I bungalow sono in muratura, tutti a piano terra e immersi nel verde. Dispongono di una o due camere,da 2 a 6 posti letto, con piccola cucina all'interno o angolo cottura attrezzato esterno, bagno con doccia.L'acqua calda è solo nella doccia. Sono disponibili anche caravan da 2 a 4 posti letto con angolo cottura attrezzato esterno e bagno esterno privato con doccia. Il Camping dispone di 1 gruppo di servizi igienici con docce calde e fredde, 20 servizi igienici privati con doccia calda, piazzole con servizio di energia elettrica, parcheggio, camper service, lavatrice a gettoni, recinzione completa e ingresso sorvegliato. Inoltre un minimarket, la pizzeria e il ristorante con le specialità locali e la comodità dei carnet pasti e del Piano Famiglia. Il Villaggio Camping Mimosa è particolarmente consigliato alle famiglie con bambini. Una vivace equipe organizza giochi, tornei sportivi, spettacoli serali per creare un clima di amicizia e divertimento, senza tuttavia coinvolgere chi ama la tranquillità. Ampio spazio è dato allo sport con i corsi gratuiti per bambini e adulti, tornei di calcetto e con la ginnastica mattutina nella tranquillità della nostra pineta o in piscina. Miniclub mattina e pomeriggio per bambini dai 4 ai 12 anni. Impianti sportivi interni: piscina per adulti e bambini, campo di calcetto, beach volley, bocce, canoe e maneggio. Tennis a 200 metri.
