"Lovingly maintained place in an even less frequented tourist area - The campsite can best be described as a rectangular piece of land, partly covered with tall eucalyptus trees and partly with olive trees. There is a free choice of pitches and most of them are shady throughout. It's great that the car can be parked next to the tent. The site is located in the middle of a wide, surprisingly damp valley in the middle of the mountains not far from the village of Buggerru and the Costa Verde. Access is generally only possible via adventurous winding roads, the most attractive of which is the coastal road from Nebida. The fantastic, mile-long sandy beach is not far away, but is still best reached by car (there is ample parking right on the beach for a fee). As for the campsite itself, it is kept in top condition and makes a lovingly maintained impression overall. Although the sanitary facilities are basic (toilet without a seat, showers in the open air), they are always clean and have soap and toilet paper - great. There is a small bar with breakfast service, drinks and snacks and a children's playground under olive and lemon trees. Small kittens, geese and ducks regularly roam around the site, so it's better to dispose of garbage immediately. There is obviously a lot of farming going on in the neighborhood. At least at the beginning of August, we noticed that agricultural and gardening equipment was constantly being used in the mornings and evenings (we weren't there in between). The nearby road also caused noise from time to time. Otherwise, the place is wonderfully quiet. Fluminimaggiore is better for shopping than Buggerru, and there are plenty of great excursion destinations! We were a little disappointed with the price-performance ratio: 9 nights with 3 kids without electricity for around €650. For a pitch on the east coast with a pool, restaurant and close proximity to the beach, we paid half as much for 8 nights.

"Ortus de mari - Nice camping in wonderful surroundings an easy walk from the beach. Friendly and easygoing owner. Good sanitary standard. 20€/night in June.

"Lovingly maintained campsite - Wonderful ambience under the trees, very well-kept and clean sanitary facilities. Very nice operators. Highly recommended.

"good campsite in the west of the island - The campsite is relatively small, but you can always find a pitch in September. The campsite is away from the hustle and bustle, offers plenty of shade and is obviously free of permanent campers. The operator speaks German. The bar is open as required and offers light meals. The price-performance ratio is good. You don't need shower tokens. The only thing I didn't like at all: the operator uses an electric insect trap in the bar area, so that the insects flying at night burn to death in it.

"Beautiful, quiet place in the hinterland - After a friendly welcome from the German-speaking owner, we were able to choose our own pitch. It was large and shady under tall trees. Sanitary facilities always clean and quite modern. Dishwashing sink with cold water. Small bar, bread rolls have to be ordered in advance. The beach is fantastic, but is about a kilometer away. There are a few restaurants in the small village. Shopping in the nearest villages.

ORTUS DE MARI is an wonderful place for peaceful holiday near the sea surrounded by green of nature. The camping is located less than 1 km from the long beach of Portixeddu, one of the most beautiful of south-west Sardinia. …Shaded by a plantation of poplar, eucalyptus and olive trees, the structure covers a grassy area of two acres ready to welcome tents, caravans and camper in tailored pitches with electric outlets. The camping offers guests renewed services (free hot showers), internal parking, children's play area and a special place for barbecue. Also available to tourists a spacious common area with bar open all day, free freezer for ice-box, Wi-Fi connection and charging electronic devices. This part of Costa Verde (from Capo Pecora to Cala Domestica) is a real paradise for explorers of the underwater world, in apnea or with bottles, for those who want to fish from shore, the bottom fishing o trolling, for lovers of sailing and surfing wave. The harbour of Buggerru is the ideal base for trips by sea in raft or boat for discovery of cliffs, isolated small beaches of sand and rock, crystal clear water shading for emerald green to deep blue. The mountains inland offer the possibility of long walks on horseback, trekking, free-climbing, hiking, mountain biking and enduro motocycle during which admire a breathtaking nature. Nearby must visit the Cave of Su Mannau (karst), the Punic-Roman Temple of Antas dedicated to God Sardus Pater Babai (protector of hunters, sailors and merchants) e the old mines of Fluminimaggiore e Buggerru, rare examples of industrial archeology from the nineteenth century with most notable Henry Gallery.
