"A quiet place for young and old to enjoy in harmony - The campsite is very clean and very quiet. There is a lot of friendliness among each other, the interpersonal helpfulness is law. Everyone observes the 10 p.m. bedtime. We were there with 2 Siberian huskies and it is very friendly there. We will go there again on vacation, it's like coming home. I told my children and my 3 grandchildren about it and now they really hope that we will get a parking space. We would definitely like to thank Mr. Petermann for the friendly service. And not to forget dear, good Ute. The great staff who keep everything clean. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts ❤️ to all of you at the Nidda Stausee campsite. Ps. Children are always welcome and the playground there is mega. Many people think that it could be cheaper, but the campsite is very cheap and...very nice. Everyone else who wants to complain should really think about what they are saying. We thought it was mega good. Thank you Mr. Petermann and thanks to the whole team. Simply brilliant. 💯👍✨️ 1

"Splash and hum - We were with 2 adults and a WoWa with awning from 03.07.2019 to 07.07.2019 at the campsite "Am Nidda-Stausee". Showers and W-LAN are free of charge. The contact by phone was very friendly, a formal reservation was not necessary for the beginning of July. We were even able to arrive outside reception opening hours and choose a pitch. The site is located on sloping terrain by the lake. In addition to a few platted motorhome pitches, it is difficult to find a flat piece of land, we were able to level out using wedges and had to make do with a few cobblestones for the support base. The pitches, some of which are bordered by hedges, are not particularly large. The site is mainly characterized by permanent campers. The tourist pitches are located in the immediate vicinity of the busy B455, which is quite noisy. The sanitary facilities are adequate for the size of the site, although there is a second wash house at the back of the site. There is a bread roll service on the site, which we did not use. The Greek restaurant on site offered delicious food. The leisure facilities are located by the lake next to the campsite. There is a large playground and various water sports facilities. To get to the lake, you have to leave the campsite through the main gate. We did not find any other passable gates. We were pleased with the many seating options on the site, which is of course particularly interesting for tent campers. The surrounding area was easy to explore by bike and on foot.

"Unsuitable for motorhomes - Stayed at the campsite for 3 days in August with the motorhome. No fresh water tank on site. Either drive with the camper van to the tapping point or lug uphill and downhill with a watering can. Emptying chemical toilet much too far away and also uphill. The power connection had to be cleared of nettles first. In my opinion, unsuitable for pensioners in a Womo. Too bad

"Nice and quiet campsite. Nice reception, helpful groundsman. - We were there at Whitsun with 12 people who arrived at 7 different times and also left at different times with 3 caravans, a VW camper van and 3 tents. The friendly, quiet and helpful groundsman managed to keep us all close together. Ideal location on the cycle path with a lake for swimmers.
