The price is 4-star, or even 5-star. The service, however, falls far short.

Over €70 per night for a simple campsite… in full sun, with no shade at all, lots of people looking right into your space because there are no hedges, and even trash on the site.

On-site: a few beers and snacks for sale, no... dining options, and spotty Wi-Fi.

We only found out once we arrived that the pool was closed all day on Monday—in the middle of August and during a heat wave.

This closure wasn’t clearly indicated at the time of booking. Yet the pool is heavily promoted as one of the campground’s main attractions.

Management explained that they only guaranteed free admission, not daily operation. A rather shocking response—and, above all, not very business-savvy.

We therefore cut our stay short by one night and requested a refund for the unused night. They flatly refused.

For a 4-star campground charging such rates, we expected a completely different level of amenities and service.

Very poor value for the money. The price, however, is definitely 4-star—or even 5-star.

Newly Created Space
We heard about this newly renovated campground by chance and booked a weekend there right away. The campsites are spacious. Because the shrubs and small trees are (still) young, the whole place looks a bit bare right now. Unfortunately, this encourages a lot of campers to cut across the sites. That’s... really a no-go.

It feels like 90% of the site is booked by Dutch people.

We had actually planned to spend the weekend there, but we left as early as Saturday at noon. It was just too loud. That’s not the campground operator’s fault, though. It felt like every neighbor had a chainsaw. Work was going on in three houses at the same time. The worst part was the renovation of a driveway. They were sawing stones all day long...

The restrooms are spacious, and the men’s were clean. My wife wasn’t too thrilled, though. But of course, the operator can’t be blamed for that either. That’s down to the guests.

Super campsite
The campsite has been newly laid out and has large pitches. The wash house is new and very clean. The children's playgrounds are new. The campsite owner is very friendly and helpful if you have any questions or problems. The area is wonderful for excursions, hiking, cycling and motorcycling. The outdoor... pool is adjacent to the campsite. The train station is also less than 20 minutes from the campsite. A new reception is due to be built in 2026. There is a small snack bar on site.

Use of fire bowl. Close to the Black Forest. Connection to the outdoor pool

The site is still under construction, so it may still be a little unlit in the evening and at the disposal station.
Camping weekend with friends
We were able to set up the fire bowl.
There was a playground right next to our pitch and the wash house was also right next door.
The operators are very nice and the bread rolls were also very tasty.
The sanitary facilities were modern and clean.
