Spacious pitches, nice little store, clean sanitary facilities.
Negativa
Sanitary buildings are always completely closed for cleaning at the busiest times. Therefore very long distances. Could be better organized. Showers 50 cents, not necessarily up to date.
Nice place, but...
The site is beautifully situated directly on the Ijsselmeer. The site is very large and spacious. Without a bike, you have to plan a lot of time for long walks.
Showers at 50 cents no longer up to date. Sanitary facilities are always cleaned at the busiest time. This should be organized differently....
Store very good and well stocked.
Surprising that there are hardly any guests on the site in the busiest off-season month. It seems to be over at the end of the summer vacation. A great pity. Restaurant and snack bar only open on Friday and Saturday. Price-performance ratio only partially fair.

Beautiful campsite
We stayed at the campsite for 3 nights with the camper. We liked it very much. The staff are all very friendly and it is a very well-kept site. There is a small store where you can get bread rolls and other things. The sanitary facilities are cleaned regularly and are very clean. The Ijssenmeer is right... in front of it. Hindeloopen can be reached on foot or by bike. Great for relaxing. Only the mosquitoes are a bit annoying in the evening. But it's not the campsite's fault, as you're surrounded by fresh water and reeds. We would definitely come back. The price-performance ratio is perfect here.

Spacious pitches, water, electricity and waste water directly at the pitch. Small store for the important things of the day, bread roll service, clean sanitary facilities, a petting zoo for the kids

Beautiful campsite
Located right next to the village of Hindeloopen. Clean campsite, sanitary facilities are new and newly tiled. However, showers only work with a 50 cent deposit, but with really warm water.
The dyke is nearby, with the Ijsselmmer behind it. A paradise for KIT surfers and SUP riders.
I was there for a week in October. You can also cycle to the surrounding villages using the usual well-organized Dutch cycle network. Well suited for a short trip!

Children's entertainment perfectly adequate, place super clean and well maintained. Staff always friendly and the small store of Danny always has fresh things and great prices and also always friendly. Super close to the beach.
Negativa
Actually everything is great and there is nothing negative, only if you have to go to the toilet on the beach it is a pity that there is none, especially for the children ect.....
Super friendly family business
For us it is always a super relaxing vacation, because our children always have a connection and can therefore develop freely and we as parents can also relax.

- location - well-stocked store - pleasantly quiet
Negativa
- prepayment - Many mosquitoes in the evening - Toilet cleaning in the morning between 8 and 10 o'clock
Toilet cleaning during peak season at "rush hour"
- Many larger trees and bushes on the pitch, on the one hand very beautiful, but in the evening the mosquitoes come out of them
- Showers cost 50 cents, after the non-visible time the water is turned off without prior notice
- Toilet facilities are cleaned in the morning between 8 and 10 a.m. or sprayed... down with a high-pressure cleaner. Closures during this time further reduce the already limited capacity, which is very restrictive in the high season!
- the site was pleasantly quiet during our vacation, bread rolls from 8 am, the store is well stocked
- our pitch was on the edge of the site, WiFi could not be used there

50cent/5min must be paid for showering. Electricity "only" up to 6Amp included
Short vacation
We were there with friends. A nice campsite in itself. The children enjoyed the "petting zoo" and the covered playground. Unfortunately, you can only feed the animals through the fence and not really stroke them. But feeding them was enough for our children. Probably a dream for kitesurfers and surfers.... The weather was great. Shortly before the end there was a plague of mosquitoes because it had rained briefly. As there are drainage ditches in the neighboring fields, there is also standing water, which is a great place for mosquitoes. Fortunately, the mosquitoes weren't too aggressive and mostly just blocked our breathing and our view. :-)

Cleanliness of the sanitary facilities
Great place, even in the low season - but...
We stayed with our motorhome on the specially paved motorhome pitches. The site is huge and offers lots of play opportunities for the children. The proximity to the beach, the direct access to the canal system (a dream with the SUP) and the surf/kite school make everything perfect. In the low season... at the beginning of September it was very empty there! Only the cleanliness of the wash houses could be much better. Spiders and creatures everywhere... That doesn't have to be today. Other places can easily manage that.

Great, quietly located campsite
Very nice campsite, friendly staff, individual wash cubicles and individual showers. Very clean. Very good for families with children as there is a playground in the middle of the camping pitches. Close to the dyke with small sandy beaches. The nearest beautiful old fishing village is within easy walking distance over the dyke. We will definitely be back.

Super family campsite
Campsite on the IJsselmeer, unfortunately without a beach. The picturesque village of Hindeloopen is within easy walking distance. Lots of surfers and co. The site is divided into plots with individual pitches. There is play equipment in the middle, so that you can sit in the awning, especially with... small children, and keep an eye on them without always having to go to the playground. The pitches are also only accessible via a driveway, so the car traffic is kept to a minimum. We thought that was really great. The new sanitary building has a great bathroom especially for children with raised, back-friendly showers. However, you have to pay for the showers. The cleanliness was good. There is a small petting zoo, bouncy cushions, a sports field and playground. There is a small supermarket and a snack bar. Payment for the campsite was made in advance on arrival. A great place, especially for families with small children. We will definitely be back.

Directly on the Ijsselmeer, close to picturesque Hindeloopen, very child-friendly campsite

Sanitary facilities partly very old, no soap in the toilets
Directly on the lake near idyllic Hindeloopen - particularly suitable for families
We had a pre-season pitch at Camping Hindeloopen from the end of March to the end of June. The total price including tourist tax for 4 people was around 700 euros, which is a great price. For this you get a large pitch on a grassy meadow with electricity (10 A, 50 kWh included, then €0.50/kWh), fresh... water and waste water connections. There are three well-placed sanitary blocks, although two of them are a bit outdated. Chic is different, but there are enough sanitary facilities even when the site is full and the cleanliness is okay. The only drawback is that there is no soap in the toilets. The showers cost €0.50 for 5 minutes. The mini-market is open daily and offers fresh bread rolls and everything the camper needs. The prices are absolutely acceptable. If you still need a larger supermarket, you either have to drive 10 minutes by car (Aldi, Poiesz) or walk a quarter of an hour to Hindeloopen (Spar). The restaurant offers mainly Dutch specialties. The snack bar in particular is very reasonably priced, provided you want to enjoy a frikandel or specialty fries. The staff are friendly and German is spoken everywhere, as the site is dominated by German tourists and mainly permanent campers. There is a lot on offer, especially for children up to the age of 12. There is an animal enclosure with goats, donkeys and ponies, a nice playground and two bouncy cushions as the most popular attraction. There are also lots of other children so that friendships can be made quickly. In the summer, there will probably be children's entertainment, of which nothing has yet been seen. Due to the focus on families and the many permanent campers, there are few youth or tent groups here. Only on the long Ascension weekend was there music late into the evening (night's rest 23:00 to 08:00), otherwise it is very quiet. The location is very nice. Lots of greenery and the site is surrounded and criss-crossed by water. Once you cross the road and the dyke, you're right on the Ijsselmeer. However, the water here is so shallow that real "swimming" is not possible. However, the water is ideal for non-swimmers. There is even a sandy beach 500m away, otherwise there are only sunbathing lawns. Depending on the weather, there are also numerous surfers on the dyke and in the water. The town of Hindeloopen is really picturesque. Time seems to have stood still here. A visit is highly recommended and the atmosphere at the harbor and in the town is very pleasant. It is comparatively lively here, especially at the weekend.

Beautiful place with a shady side
Large place well laid out therefore very cozy, all grass bordered with bushes. The place is older you can tell by the sanitary facilities. The biggest drawback is that there is no soap / soap dispenser in the toilets or showers or chemical toilets, not to mention paper towels. I don't think that's possible anymore. Ideal place for water sports enthusiasts.

A small point for improvement would be: soap dispensers in the toilets and disinfectant for the toilet seats.
Great place right on the Ijsselmeer
The site is beautifully situated directly on the Ijsselmeer behind the dike. The picturesque town of Hindeloopen is only 10 minutes away and is well worth a visit. All the places on the "Elfstädte Tour" are worth seeing. An Eldorado for cyclists, surfers, sailors and kayakers. Small criticism - point of improvement would be: soap dispenser in the toilet rooms and disinfectant for the toilet seats. We would love to go again.

Large campsite, clean, well organized
A very large campsite, divided by hedges, which often leads to very long walks to the sanitary buildings, supermarket, Ijselmeer. As someone has already said, the sanitary buildings are completely closed from 7-8 am for cleaning, especially if you want to go to the toilet with a full bladder. Annoying!... Then of course you go into the bushes. You can only shower with a coin (even cold), but unfortunately this is now the case at almost all campsites. At least here you can wash dishes with hot water. The music blaring in the sanitary buildings was a bit annoying, at least in September when the campsite is almost empty.

Great for kiters and surfers, excellent kite school.
not inspiring
Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities are not cleaned often enough. Some of them are very outdated. And the somewhat newer sanitary block is clearly too small! The toilet paper and the dispensers are an imposition. There are scraps of toilet paper everywhere. We had expected something better for this price. Our pitch got muddy very quickly when it rained. And there are lots of snails.

The older sanitary building should be upgraded
Gladly again
Camping Hindeloopen is a very quiet site. The pitches are well maintained. The surrounding area surprises with many beautiful things. There are many things worth seeing in the nearby towns of Koudum, Workum and Sneek. The nearby town of Hindeloopen is beautiful. There is an orderly hustle and bustle... here that doesn't turn into a flood of tourists. The older sanitary building will be upgraded in winter 2015/2016. All are kept very clean with several daily cleanings The staff is friendly. Children experience a tour with the motorized carriage in the evening. We would love to come back.
