Good access to public transportation
The area between Gatow’s main street and the Havel River. The main street sees frequent (though not continuous) traffic even at night, and most visitor parking spots are located on the side facing the main street.
Public transportation stops right in front of the square’s entrance every 10 minutes, and... the trip to the Victory Column takes between 50 minutes and just over an hour.
The showers and sinks are located a little further back in the square, while a restroom is a bit closer.

Well-maintained campground
Friendly welcome, clean restroom facility; the older restroom building needs renovating, and the stalls are very cramped. Good Greek restaurant on the campground.
Despite booking 14 days in advance, we unfortunately only got a very sunny spot.

Ideal for travelers to Berlin
Very friendly and helpful staff! The pitch is well maintained and neat. The plumbing is a bit older, but well maintained and always clean. The restaurant on the field
(Greek with outdoor seating) is highly recommended. Bus stop right in front of the campsite. Shopping facilities and gas station nearby. Gas bottle station in the campground.
The Havel can be reached on foot through the forest in 10 minutes.

Anyone arriving with a dog immediately comes under general suspicion, as dogs of short-term campers write everywhere. We wanted to go for a walk with our dog in the evening, and a very unfriendly gentleman at the reception forbade us to go into the area of the permanent campers. - Payment must be made in advance - The tourist pitches are located on the street Kladower Damm - Dogs are allowed - The paper dispensers in the toilets are so inconveniently positioned that you have to make every effort not to come into contact with the ceramic when leaving the cubicle.
City campsite
The site is well located for visiting the cities of Berlin or Potsdam. It is characterized by permanent campers, all facing the Havel. The tourist pitches are in the front area. Road traffic noise is more or less audible. It takes about 1 hour by bus to Bahnhof Zoo and from there by subway to Berlin-Mitte.

The site is regularly checked and maintained, the sanitary facilities are relatively clean. Modernization would not be amiss.

Easy to reach from the A10. Very nice and helpful staff! The site is well-kept and tidy. The sanitary facilities are a bit older but well maintained and always clean. The restaurant on the pitch

After 21:00 arrival, parking is only possible outside the campsite.
Quiet friendly campsite
A quiet campsite near Berlin. You can quickly reach the city center by public transport or by car. A walk to the nearby Havel and along it is recommended. Many restaurants nearby. The staff are friendly and helpful. The site is also suitable for dog owners. There are no leisure activities.

The place is very nice and quiet. You can get to Berlin in 40 minutes by bus, which stops right outside the door. Everything is very clean and the pitches are also good. The staff are very friendly.

Very dissatisfied due to lack of sleep
Unfortunately, the staff are unable/or overburdened to enforce the quietness of the campsite.
Ego- and alcohol-driven wannabe off-road campers party until late into the night at 01:30, even though an additional notice is posted to enforce the site quiet from 10 pm. So we had 3 sleepless nights and were... then able to sleep at least 2 more nights after changing pitches. Complaining alone is not enough and only leads to a shrug of the shoulders. At the end of the day, you also pay for the campsite to run properly and for you to get a good night's sleep.

No arrangement for groups who want to celebrate there (see comment); wifi was not available due to technical fault and would not have been free (if available).
Unfortunately annoyed and displaced by a celebrating group of men
On the penultimate day of my stay, a large group of younger men turned up (around 10-12), positioned themselves between the existing campers and unpacked all the utensils for a party (beer benches, barbecue, music system...). As it was clear that there was no peace and quiet to be found at this spot,... all the campers nearby packed up their tents and moved to a more distant location. Among these "resettlers" were also families with children. The party then took its course with extensive consumption of alcohol, roaring, sound from the music system and revelers defecating in the surrounding bushes.
For campers who prefer a quieter stay and are reluctant to change their pitch because they have to avoid a partying group, this pitch is therefore only recommended to a limited extent.

The internet connection via WLAN costs extra (5E/day, 12€/week) and often breaks down, both are simply no longer up to date!
20 km to Berlin Mitte, quiet location, very good bus connection
The site is located far outside the city near the Havel with bus connections to the city every 10 minutes (late in the evening every 20 minutes). As described several times, the sanitary facilities are quite old, but always very clean. A tip for returning from Berlin tours (also by bike): Complete the... return journey via Wannsee station with the BVG boat to the Kladow landing stage (with the AB ticket for 2.80) and walk or drive back to the campsite from there.

Very nice campsite in TOP location
Very friendly welcome, clean facilities, everything well maintained. Bread rolls are available to order in advance or about 3km away at the organic market or bakery. There are also supermarkets, nice restaurants, the little one on the square was not always open. Bus stop right outside the door and in... 20-25 minutes to the nearest S-Bahn station. Located directly on the forest and almost (about 400m) on the Havel. There you can go for a great walk with the dog.

Nice starting point for sightseeing
Super place. Very friendly staff, clean sanitary facilities. Very good transport connections and still quiet. Would be my absolute favorite for my next visit to Berlin. I would definitely recommend a visit to the nearby military history museum (Alter Flugplatz Gatow). Admission is free and therefore easily "affordable" for the whole family

We will be back
We stayed on the site for 1 week and were very satisfied. The bus leaves right in front of the campsite, to Bahnhof Zoo, day ticket 7,00 €. We were welcomed very friendly and to our surprise the showers were free of charge, the electricity consumption was also billed exactly. The disadvantage is that there are no shops in the immediate vicinity, but you have your car with you.

Perfect for visits to Berlin!
We (2 adults 2 children) stayed at this place for 4 nights in March. Due to the very good connection, the bus to the zoo station runs several times an hour directly in front of the door, we were on 3 days from morning to evening in Berlin. We found the place just perfect! Very friendly, helpful staff,... clean sanitary facilities and sufficiently large pitches. A little more expensive, but still ok! We liked it very much and will definitely be back again!
