"Mr - Poor Encounter: Lack of Flexibility, Focus on Monetization Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ We booked a tent site here and got a swift response in 20 minutes. Paid the full amount upfront. Upon arrival, they surprised us by saying tent sites had no electricity, even though the "taxe énergétique" was included in our bill. Odd, right? We had all the adapters and, as an engineer, I found their explanation about different electricity for campers ridiculous. Since we weren't prepared for a no-electricity camping experience and the campsite offered no solution, we had to cancel our stay. You could argue it was our fault, but I asked the campsite management to clearly state (not buried three pages deep) that electricity is only for RVs. Despite their quick replies during booking (20 minutes), they've become extremely slow – it's the 5th day, they still haven't executed our refund request. 😔 You truly realize the value of good campgrounds and management when faced with a problem. Avoid this place if you need electricity for your tent! Also, expect little to no response or slow assistance from the management regarding issues. Shoutout to the reception lady who, even though clueless, tried to help. ⚠️EDIT 11.08.2023: After waiting for 6 days, the management provided us with a wholly negative response regarding our refund request. They referenced this review and pointed to the terms and conditions as the basis for their decision. ⚠️ As a result, we have decided to engage our legal representatives to assess and address this situation.

"Pure nature - Fantastic location in the middle of nature. Infrastructure always very clean. Very nice owners, always helpful. We felt very comfortable. You could easily reach the whole valley by post bus. We wanted for nothing. Unfortunately we could only stay for one week... The first time, but not the last.

"In the middle of the larch forest ... - The site is beautifully situated in the middle of the larch forest, you couldn't camp in a more natural setting. There are small clearings everywhere where you can pitch your tent or bus. There is a nice restaurant nearby and the hiking opportunities are fantastic. The sanitary facilities were very clean.

"Very nice - If you're looking for a nice place with lots of marmots, glaciers, a dam, a post bus etc... Then don't hesitate to make the journey to Bonatchiesse. Plenty of hiking opportunities and lots of tours for mountain bikers. The managers do an excellent job, and this year with the Covid, at no time did we feel "threatened". For those towing a caravan and not too used to mountain roads, the climb up to the campsite may be impressive, but it presents no major difficulties. On leaving Lourtier, it's best to take the right-hand road.

"Lovingly designed space - We (a young mountain biker couple) really liked it here. The site is nicely laid out in a section of forest, which makes it feel almost like standing in the wild. There are freely usable barbecues and endless fire pits. The staff are extremely polite and are always cleaning something. The sanitary facilities are super clean and the water for washing up is also hot. The campsite is almost at the end of the valley which is of course quite out of the way but there is a post bus. We used the same bus to get from Verbier back to the Platt. You won't find a supermarket or train station here, no cars, no industry, just nature. But it's dead quiet here at night, except for the rushing water. This is how campsites should be.

Nestled in the heart of the Val de Bagnes, our campsite is a peaceful haven surrounded by larch forest and mountains. Located in Bonatchiesse, just above Fionnay, it offers a unique natural setting, far from mass tourism, where calm and …authenticity prevail. Each pitch is different, integrated into the forest, offering shade, privacy and a true connection with nature. Some areas are more open, others closer to the river, allowing everyone to find their perfect spot. Please note that most pitches are not accessible by vehicle, which contributes to the charm and tranquility of the site. Our campsite is ideal for hikers, families and nature lovers looking to disconnect and enjoy the outdoors. The surrounding area offers numerous hiking trails, access to the Mauvoisin dam, and breathtaking alpine landscapes. On site, you will find clean sanitary facilities, shared fridges, charging points, and a friendly atmosphere. Open fires are allowed depending on regulations, and firewood is available on site. More than just a campsite, it is a place to slow down, reconnect, and experience the mountains in a simple and authentic way.

At the roundabout, follow the direction Aoste / Grd St Bernard, then in Sembrancher follow signs for Verbier / Le Châble. Drive …through Le Châble and continue towards “Mauvoisin” (Route de Mauvoisin ). Bonatchiesse is located 3 kms after Fionnay and before the Mauvoisin dam.
