- Heribert O.June 2019PositivaFriendlinessNegativaReduction of pitches and tents in favor of mobile homes, currently loud in the morningA changing campsiteWe stayed at this site for 3 days, the positive thing is that you are greeted in a friendly manner on arrival, he also showed us the pitches and recommended a shady one. The toilets and showers were clean, but I didn't understand the logic, ladies shower at the back of the men's toilet. Men's shower,... ladies' toilet at the back, few washing facilities for the dishes. Unfortunately, 2 of the 3 doors of the men's shower could not be closed because the lock was missing. On the negative side, it should be noted that the pitches are reduced in favor of mobile homes, every morning shortly before 7:00 a.m. (once it was 6:00 a.m. when the trucks were in front of the campsite) 2 trucks brought 4 mobile homes, which were then pulled across the site with a tractor.Automatiskt översatt.
- Ekbert M.June 2019Not recommended in 2019Currently a construction site with a lot of noise. Conversion of tents and pitches into mobile homes. These are delivered from 07:00, the site is being cleared and in some places the outdated sewage system is gurgling. A large part is not rented out. Suppliers drive between the pitches. WLAN is offered... but works almost nowhere on the site. The new operator seems to be ignorant. If you want to stay here, you have to pay in advance and will not get any money back if you complain or leave. Cards such as ACSI are not accepted and discounts are given arbitrarily on request. Too bad, we have been vacationing here for several years.Automatiskt översatt.
- Claus P.June 2019Beautiful vacationWere there again in June 2019, mobile homes were still being unloaded in the morning, but we didn't find that annoying. More disturbing is when they dismantle before 7.00 a.m. and the diesels start at seven sharp to be the first to leave the site. The sanitary facilities have improved a lot, the animation... was non-existent, but according to the campsite management this was due to the agency. Otherwise again and again. Large shady pitches. You should pay attention to the approach when choosing a pitch, as the paths are quite narrow, one side of my caravan was scratched by the hedge. The restaurant could be better. The sanitary facilities take some getting used to. Otherwise, a lovely site at the end of the road from Rocchette and therefore little traffic. The site is beautifully situated, the sea is clean and there is plenty to see culturally. We were traveling with ACSI-Card and so it was a cheap week in a beautiful landscape. I will definitely come back again in the next few years.Automatiskt översatt.
- Heinz S.September 2017Positiva- large, partly shaded parking spaces - well-stocked store - beautiful and well-kept swimming poolNegativa- Place looks a bit neglected and unkempt - Not very friendly staff - not directly on the beach and the beach is tinyThe square has seen better daysWhen we visited the campsite, we were shocked at how poorly maintained it was. The site is partly under beautiful pine trees. However, many SPs are uneven. Our water tap did not work. The staff were not really service-oriented. Even in the off-season there is loud animation on the neighboring CP. On... the other hand, the store is very well stocked and the service is very friendly. The sanitary facilities are partly newly renovated. You have to leave the campsite to get to the beach and the public beach is tiny. The sea, on the other hand, is very beautiful and clean.Automatiskt översatt.
- iris S.July 2017PositivaFriendly service at reception. We are sure that we will never go there again.NegativaSanitary facilities Beach ShoppingDisasterSanitary facilities dirty and catastrophically furnished, toilet paper a roll in front of the toilet doors, almost no light, washing up with a tap hot water comes, shower hardly any storage space, in the middle of the room on the ceiling is the duschkopf montieet. Public beach tiny and accordingly overcrowded.... The sun loungers on the public beach cost 25 euros!!! a day. No card payment in the store. Obligatory. Swimming cap at the pool, but all with underpants in it.Automatiskt översatt.
- Sören S.September 2016Positivagreat pool Free WLAN ACSI 17€ Close to the sea Shady pitches in the heatNegativasanitary facilities shady placesPlace with super poolShady site with spacious pitches. Sanitary very southern planned and built. Wifi free of charge. Pool is very large. The free beach is 10m wide and somewhat crowded. Paid sunbathing beach available. the wider free beach 400m down the beach - I then preferred the empty pool. My girlfriend complained about... the completely filthy ladies' showers. Due to the open design, I could simply take her to the men's showers without it being weird. It's ok there. You can't take things into the shower with you. So you have to go in your swimming trunks. Toilets don't have seats and no paper sass. The restaurant was ok. We had the whole table full of dead ants and the daylight neon tubes were not conducive to the ambience. The pizza was good though. There is a restaurant nearby (main road towards Castiglione Della Pescaia) called "Le Dune" I think. They had a really great starter buffet and great pasta with seafood. Super great ambience and service. I can highly recommend it - but it's a bit more upmarket and always well attended - it's advisable to arrive early or make a reservation. The space by the pool is good and enjoyable.Automatiskt översatt.
- Wolfgang S.September 2016PositivaClose to the beach and nice pool. Castiglione Della Pescaia is a nice place for a stroll.NegativaSanitary facilities not acceptable.Large square by the seaVery friendly staff.only three minutes to the beach with rental umbrellas and free beach.wonderful view of a castle.beautiful place castiglione della pescaia only six kilometers away. Sanitary facilities very outdated, dingy, calcified, rusty and partly moldy.for ACSI price a few nights just to accept.in the main season for at least 50 € is not possible.Automatiskt översatt.
- Monika G.August 2016PositivaClear water, good food, great areaNegativaNoisy and dirty, old sanitary facilitiesThe best times are long goneSuitable for campers, some larger pitches and you can usually park your car on the pitch. Reservations are possible and recommended until around August 20. Until then, 98% of the campers are Italians, no Dutch, few Germans, French and Swiss. After August 20/22, more and more places became available.... When new guests arrived, it was only Germans. As described, the stand is so small that you just want to avoid it, it's so crowded. To have more space, you have to walk about 8 minutes along the shore, then there is a free beach. Dogs are only welcome at the campsite, nowhere else. That said, our dog guarded the campsite after a walk. But he preferred it that way because of the heat! The toilets were in a pathetic old state and dirty every day. I don't think the cleaning ladies know what it means to use cleaning agents and not just a dirty rag. It's a good thing that our children are no longer so small and are learning to go to the toilet. Toilet seat not there either. The aforementioned "noise" from the neighboring campsite until midnight is normal, so it doesn't help if your own campsite has a night's rest from 11 pm! Having bikes with you is nice, but a challenge! It's 7 km to Castiglione, which isn't really a problem, but the first 3.5 km are on the only access road, which has to be used by pedestrians, cyclists and campers etc. at the same time. So it can sometimes be very narrow! With children K.v. The individual fruit markets really do sell produce from the Pian di Rocca area. That's really great. All in all, despite the old-fashioned campsite (they should spend some money and renovate the toilets and introduce better cleaning habits), it was a lovely vacation due to the great surroundings (bus runs regularly to Cast.) and the clear water.Automatiskt översatt.
- Tanja H.August 2015PositivaBeautiful location, great pitchesNegativaNoise from the neighboring squareBeautiful locationUnfortunately, a quiet campsite is of no use if the campsite next door is blaring entertainment at its guests every evening until midnight during peak times. A generator very close to our pitch on the hill was also very audible at night. Otherwise: pool great, plenty of sun loungers (although towards... the end of August, when the Italians went home and the Germans arrived - a sharp increase in towel reservations) sea nice and clear, but as already mentioned, the free places are scarce. Staff very friendly. Sanitary facilities: showers a little too smallAutomatiskt översatt.
- Peter H.July 2015PositivaVery friendly staff. Family atmosphere, beautiful shady pitches. Super bus connection to CasstillioneNegativaLoud noise from the neighboring campsite. Public beach section very small. Can really be recommendedWe were there in June/July. 2 adults and a toddler. The swimming pool was perfect for our little one. Staff and animation very friendly and courteous. A lot is implemented with little resources and ciel Angagement!!!!Automatiskt översatt.
- Matthias R.June 2015PositivaShadows very quiet in the low seasonNegativaUnfortunately only the roadside as a dog toiletVery quiet, shady campsite in JuneWe were there in June with the ACSI Card for €18, lots of very quiet shady pitches, free WiFi, as described, small free beach a little further away with plenty of space. High waves to romp about in onshore winds. Dogs were allowed on the beach, camping store with a good selection. At the edge of the campsite we had an encounter with a 1 meter long snake that gave our dog and us quite a fright when it reared up.Automatiskt översatt.
- Johann (Hans) G.May 2015PositivaGood restaurant, mini market, great pool, great beachNegativaTo the side of the road for a walkQuiet location at the end of a cul-de-sacWe were right after the entrance, on the 2nd pitch, so it was a short walk to the san building, pool and beach. The good restaurant is at the other end of the campsite, we ate well and were served in a very friendly manner. There are several smaller san buildings, so nobody has to walk far. These buildings... also have mini complete bathrooms - washbasin, toilet and shower on a good 2 square meters! The pool is very well maintained with sun loungers all around and a large lawn for sunbathing. NO BATHING HOOD OBLIGATION ! maybe because of low season ??? To get to the beautiful sandy beach you have to leave the campsite, cross the turning area and you're there. Great sandy beach and a piece of rocky cliffs. Our dog was allowed on the beach! He could swim undisturbed in the sea and romp on the beach. Also because of the low season ??? The pitches with even clay soil are separated by large trees or hedges. With an awning and car it gets tight. But just behind the hedge there were covered parking spaces with nets, only 2 meters from the caravan. All 3 of us felt very comfortable!Automatiskt översatt.
- Karl K.September 2014PositivaPrice and restaurant and the supermarket is also quite well stockedNegativaApproach, hardly possible to walk the dogThe funny beachYou have to go through a traffic circle to get to the beach, which is very small, i.e. the free part. The part where you have to rent sun loungers and parasols is very large. But you can't go there with a dog, which was the reason why we were only there for one day. The sanitary facilities are quite poor.Automatiskt översatt.
- Kati M.July 2014PositivaPool AND sea beautiful plotsNegativaSanitary facilities in need of overhaul Sound system in the evening No direct access to the beachThe star of the sea does not shine quite so brightlyThe approach is quite long, coming from the south you first have to drive through the narrow Castiglione and then another 5 km long narrow side road, the campsite is at the very end of the road, there is a turn-off. The campsite itself is separated from the sea by the road, the sea access is limited... by private bathing facilities, you reach the beach at the very end of the bay, where there is also a small public area, which is quickly overcrowded in the high season. Then there are 2 bagni, in the 2nd one you get a discount if you buy a voucher at the reception of the CP. Then another public area. You can walk for miles along the beach, the water was very clean, the children had fun climbing the rocks to the old castle ruins. There are 2 very nice pools on the campsite (swimming caps compulsory!), plenty of sun loungers, which don't cost anything extra. During our stay, the shower by the pool near the beach was broken, which was not fixed, so everyone was walking with sandy feet over the tiles by the pool and sometimes through the children's area of the pool to the shower on the other side. The pitches are not huge but sufficient even for large caravans. There is plenty of shade, in the front part it may even be too dark but that is a matter of taste. Even in the high season it was no problem at all to find free pitches. Water and electricity connections (we had 10 A) are always close to the pitch. Nice soft ground. The sanitary facilities leave a lot to be desired. Early on, everything is sprayed out once with the hose and that's it, as the paths are all sandy, everything is immediately dirty again. The showers are quite cramped and the water at the washing-up points was only cold. The washbasins are all outside. In the evening there was noise from the neighboring campsite Baia Azzura until after midnight, which we found very annoying.Automatiskt översatt.
- André P.August 2013The campsite is a little out of the way, yet only a few kilometers from Castiglione della Pescaia. (easy to reach by bike) The campsite has some very large pitches, most of which are semi-shaded, semi-sunny under pine trees. The site is ideally located for excursions to the nearby Maremma or Elba. Quietly... situated and not overly noisy with loud music, even in high season. Another shopping "secret tip": Access to the campsite is via a side road about 5 km long. There is a large fruit/vegetable/wine stall on the right-hand side of this road about 1 km before the campsite. This stall is run by a Swiss expatriate together with her Italian husband and sons. You can buy fresh fruit and vegetables there every day at reasonable prices (better than at the campsite or market), as well as a home-made, first-class, always freshly chilled red wine.Automatiskt översatt.
- Andrea P.July 2013camping ok, absolutely need to redo the bathrooms, old and in very poor condition. animation needs to be increased in number: 1 or 2 more people for it to be adequate for the number of guestsAutomatiskt översatt.
- Die D.June 2011Quiet campsite (just a few steps from the beach) with shady pine and oak trees at the end of the beach access road (no traffic noise). There is a nice large pool area (swimming cap compulsory) with a nice bar, supermarket, restaurant/pizzeria, tennis/football pitch (artificial turf). Cars should preferably... be parked in the designated (covered) parking spaces in the campsite area. Water and electricity connections (up to 10 A) are always close to the pitches. The entire staff is very friendly. The children's entertainment program is mostly geared towards Italian-speaking guests. The sanitary facilities (showers very cramped) are tidy, but could be cleaner in places. The beach access is right behind the pool area/pool bar. In addition to the typ. There are also clean "public" sections of beach free of charge. The village of Castiglione della Pescaia (with its beautiful old town) is easily accessible by car (there is also a large supermarket there).Automatiskt översatt.
- Rainer V.May 2011Beautifully laid out CP. Swimming pool. Market, restaurant, pizzeria pick-up service. Not necessarily dedicated, friendly staff in the restaurant. Friendly reception. Private beach, beautiful sandy beach. You can walk for miles along the beach. Castiglione small but nice. Surroundings almost completely fenced in. ACSI participantsAutomatiskt översatt.
- Eggenberger J.October 2010Partly terraced pitches shaded by cork oaks, eucalyptus or pine trees. Typical Italian fencing around all private pitches in the immediate vicinity of the campsite, making it difficult to access the beautiful and clean sandy beach. Very quiet site at the end of September/beginning of October without... an entertainment program or crowds. The sanitary facilities are clean. However, these and the associated buildings make a rather worn impression. Renovations pending. Update October 2010: No change in the sanitary facilities, the offer in the on-site restaurant has improved compared to the previous year, all dishes on the menu are also available in the off-season.Automatiskt översatt.
