"Beautiful CP right by the sea - Nice sandy and simple CP relatively large Good mini market with long opening hours Camping in the first row directly by the sea possible, but often occupied by permanent campers. Direct access to the sea Bicycle rental possible Restaurant available, but we did not test it. The sanitary facilities are quite clean but there is no soap or toilet paper available. This was standard at our other campsites.

"Tour through Tuscany - We had a place for ourselves without having to book in advance. We were also able to choose freely. Even with a larger motorhome you can get there easily. Dogs are also allowed on the private beach (but not on the public beach). The site is beautifully laid out with plenty of shade. There is always a gentle breeze, which is very pleasant. The store is really well equipped. Again, I didn't find the toilets and showers all that great. You have direct access to the beach. What I found a little strange were the numerous permanent campers who have turned their caravans into veritable "fortifications" with plastic tarpaulins and fences. The on-site restaurant is good.

"Very quiet CP with a lot of wind and many dogs - We stayed at this campsite for 10 days over Whitsun. Arrival: very easy to reach via the highway from Grosseto: Albinia exit. Well signposted from there. Reception: they speak some English, sufficient for check-in. Very friendly and very nice, check-in was very quick. The campsite is flat, located directly by the sea, partly (in the front area) protected from the wind by an earth wall, but no view of the sea. It was very windy at the campsite during our stay, with a strong wind blowing. The campsite is therefore well suited for windsurfing! Caution: the paths are narrowed by trees growing at an angle or by the fencing of the permanent campers' pitches - check the access to the pitch on foot beforehand and don't rely on what the reception says! One guest ruined his camper van (alcove) at the entrance! Many permanent campers on the site. The pitches are very small, from 20.05. the car must be parked outside (special parking lot in front of the reception). There are wheelbarrows for transportation! There is a small mini-market/bar on the campsite which has all the essential groceries. Otherwise you can go to Albinia to the Coop or to Simply for shopping - also by bike! From the CP you can cycle well, there are extra cycle paths - also into the city. The cycle path leads through a natural landscape where you can see lots of birds. Sanitary facilities: very plentiful, very clean, everything is fine. In summer (high season) the campsite is certainly very busy, but extremely quiet at Whitsun (except for the waves and wind). Negative: A lot of dogs on the campsite, which don't always go to the fence, but sometimes do their business directly on the pitch. Excursions: Porto Santo Stefano is very close and highly recommended. Grosseto and Siena are also worth a visit. And Pitigliano is a must when heading towards the mountains. Price for 3 people per night: EUR 25 Conclusion: If you like a lot of peace and quiet, but also a lot of wind and don't mind the dogs, this is certainly a good place to stay.

"Nice but... - This campsite was our starting point for exploring the Maremme, but also for a beach vacation. And you should bear in mind that the campsite is exposed to the wind. The wind often blows all day long, both on the beach and on the campsite, which can be unpleasant despite the heat. I also think the pitch prices are too high, which is of course a problem in Italy.

Profil

Camping Village Bocche d'Albegna is set on a small promontory in the gulf between Talamone and Monte Argentario. It borders to a fragrant pinewood. A dense cover of poplars, eucalyptus, pines and tamarisk gives shelter, in places, up to the …sandy beach, where also rocks and pebbles can be found. THE CAMPING - Being in a direct contact with the sea it's formed by 113 grounds of about 70 square meters. The plot is flat with a grassy bottom, the inner roads are gravel and the shading is medium and pitch, generated by medium sized trees (pine-trees, poplars, eucalyptus, tamarisks). The masonry toilets are tiled, daubed and dispose of hot, cold and mixed showers. The water is potable everywhere and electrical and hydraulic systems that are recently in use guarantee the maximum safety and comfort. Neatness, relaxation and beauty of this place are our luxuries. THE PARK VILLAGE - Two and three-room apartments obtained from restructuring of 2 typical seashore rural homes in Maremma with 4,5 or 6 beds are available there. They include a fully equipped kitchenette, a bathroom with a shower and TV. In some of the apartments there is the air conditioning. SERVICES and FACILITIES - The camping village has at its disposal : self-service cafeteria, pizzeria, mini-market, newspapers, tobacconist's, terraced aperitif-bar, satellite TV room, space for children's games, camper service, illuminated boat dock with a slipway and a guarded landing wharf. Animals are admitted.
