Even back then, I criticized the accessibility that this campground is supposed to provide. When it comes to accessibility, it’s not enough to simply have an accessible restroom and shower; people with disabilities should also be able to use them on their own.... That is absolutely not the case here. To open the outer door to the restroom facility, you need a key that must be turned while simultaneously opening the door. This door is very stiff. As a wheelchair user, this is very difficult or even impossible to manage. Then comes the next door—the restroom/shower itself—which requires yet another separate key. This door also has to be unlocked and opened, which is very difficult while sitting in a wheelchair. There is also a paper towel dispenser next to the sink. It is positioned in such a “clever” way that you cannot operate it from a wheelchair. The mechanism to turn it so that another paper towel comes out is on the left side. The dispenser is mounted on the left wall, right next to the sink, which is also positioned very close to the wall. This issue was brought to the operators’ attention two years ago, and they promised to make improvements (the operators had recently taken over the lease).
Next up are the sinks. None of them are wheelchair-accessible. This means a wheelchair user can’t wash their dishes there; but the main thing is that there’s a dog shower🥺.
The restaurant has a “day off”! At a campground during peak season? We weren’t the only ones who, after a long drive and setting up camp, would have liked to grab a bite to eat.
Since I have to choose campgrounds based on “accessibility,” I should be able to rely on the information provided on their respective websites. Unfortunately, most of them don’t even realize what “accessible” means.

The place is very clean and quiet, but it was also pretty empty!
As for the barrel, it’s furnished very simply, and you have to bring everything you need for cooking—including dishes and... cutlery—or go out to eat!
Fly screens on the door and windows would be nice!
It’s OK for a short stay, but not for us if we were staying longer!! Despite everything, we felt comfortable and have recommended the place to friends with RVs!
