The location in the middle of the impressive Lofer mountains is simply fantastic and offers a perfect backdrop for relaxing days in nature. The very well-kept and clean sanitary facilities, which make your stay even more pleasant, deserve special mention....
The reception was extremely friendly. I was particularly pleased with the personal gesture on the occasion of my birthday - a small bottle of sparkling wine as a gift. Such lovely details make the stay special and show the high service orientation of the team on site.

All pitches are gravelled with a lawn area.
We would also like to emphasize the... possibility of having a massage on site. The masseuse Sonja is great and has eliminated all back problems.
The restaurant on site has a good selection and we enjoyed it.
The small store has a daily bread roll service. You shouldn't expect much more. But that doesn't matter, as MPreis, Billa and Spar are within walking distance in about 15 minutes.

The access roads and pitches are all spacious without exception and also suitable for larger vehicles. We were right next to the Saalach. The sanitary facilities were spotlessly clean at all times. The XXL family bathrooms are also great to use... for guests with disabilities, but there is no access for wheelchair users. However, there is a designated wheelchair-accessible toilet in the main building. We also really liked the structured parking instructions. In the restaurant you can enjoy great food at reasonable prices without any restrictions. The Wellnessalm is really beautifully designed... Pure relaxation!
We also treated ourselves to massages and were completely delighted. The entire staff was friendly and helpful at all times, even when things were hectic. The area around the Grubhof offers families and sports enthusiasts plenty of opportunities and excursion destinations; as a guest with a handicap, I was able to enjoy a very active and relaxing vacation here thanks to the infrastructure, flat cycling and hiking trails and the entire Grubhof complex. The "normal" pitches are located along the paths and, with a few exceptions (edge pitches), are not so nice in our eyes.
The disadvantage of a pitch by the river is that there is a lot of traffic across your own pitch from other people who want to... take a look at the river. As there are unfortunately no boundaries and we have a very small caravan, people walked right past our awning in good weather. That gets a bit stressful from the 10th visitor a day....
It would be better for the operator to leave 2-3 places by the river free as "viewing areas", or to arrange the layout and spacing differently.
We tried the food - it was great.
The prices in the store were too high for us - but there are plenty of supermarkets nearby.
The staff are super nice and helpful - we tested the wellness facilities and found them to be great.
Sonja Gackstetter works wonders - great massage and lymphatic drainage !!!!
Very good sanitary facilities - great family bathrooms - the only drawback - very noisy and you have to allow for waiting times when the hotel is full.

The pitches are very spacious and have a very wide green strip right up to the next row, which is super nice and you always have the feeling of space and, above all, peace and quiet. Other campsite operators would make twice as many pitches here.
What I would particularly like to highlight is the division of the pitches into dog, family and quiet areas. Great idea, someone has really thought about it.
Electricity, water and gray water disposal at every pitch, which saves time and walking, which I really enjoyed.

Lots of small children, who of course make a lot of noise. Unfortunately, the parents don't care, but it's not the campsite's fault....
We also find the prices quite high and the infrastructure is very poor in the low season.
Of course you can go shopping at almost any time, even on public holidays.
However, Lofer is a small village in the low season and many stores are closed.
No mountain huts are open. Some hiking trails are still closed. It's just the problem between a full high season and a dormant low season. Not so easy for hikers, but here too the Grubhof can't help but be bothered by the high prices at the Grubhof.
Despite everything, we will certainly visit the Grubhof again at some point, but probably in the fall when there are package deals.
