Been back after 20 years
We were back on this campsite with friends in September 2024 after 20 years. There is now a 2nd part of the campsite and also 2 other campsites right next to it which are also very good. We had asked in advance and arrived at the campsite at a good time. Almost everything was free on the old part of... the site. Very nice under the mat roofs and large pitches. Own toilets again and beautiful sandy beach. Traders come to the site daily with bread rolls, fish and fruit/vegetables. Shopping in supermarkets a short distance away is ideal. Brunta Bracetto has little to nothing.
Conclusion from us - always happy to return - possibly as pensioners then.

It couldn't be cleaner
The friendliness of the ladies at the reception, the small store with its own wine and olive oil and the possibility to buy bread, ice cream, fish, meat and vegetables from traveling vendors makes this place in Punta Bracetto without services such as sunbeds etc., but clean.

Beautiful place at the end of the world
We were looking for peace and quiet, which we found here. There wasn't much to do around the campsite. A beautiful beach and a small village with a simple bar and pizzeria at unbeatable prices. We'd love to come back.

The location is great, the beach is great, but no restaurant, no market, not even a café. The delivery service on the campsite is of course cool, bread rolls every morning directly in front of the caravan, that's something. and having your own toilets is also a good idea. But overall it's expensive and the campsite itself is quiet. But what's the point if the disco from the neighboring Coralli campsite bangs on until 1 a.m. every night?

We came to the campsite to relax for 2 days after a 2-week tour of Sicily. The Scarabeo campsite is very suitable for this. The campsite and the beach are well maintained and pleasantly quiet. The operators offer many extras such as the possibility to rent a car by the hour or a pizza delivery service.... In addition, a baker comes by daily and on some days there are sellers of fruit, fish, meat or ice cream. The Maximarkt listed on the information letter from the CP is not recommended and the stores in Punta Secca are still closed in May or no longer exist. The nearest larger stores are Despar and Superconad in Santa Croce Camerina, 6 km away

The campsite is well maintained and the staff are friendly. It's right by the sea. But that's it for the advantages. The campsite is hardly suitable for guests with tents as there is not a single grass pitch. In addition, the sprinkler system comes on at night, so you are woken from your sleep in your... tent. There is no snack bar. Nor is there one within walking distance; you have to drive about 4 to 5 km to a restaurant. Each pitch has its own toilet, but you have to bring your own toilet paper. Hot water in the shower is only available with an extra jeton. Why are these bad habits finally coming to an end?

A little off the beaten track
It couldn't get any better in Sicily
The site has been laid out with great attention to detail. The garden landscape surrounding the plots is not only immaculately maintained, but also just as rich in species. Here you will find all kinds of colorful flowers and can also watch bananas grow. The pitches are sufficiently large and level.... The sanitary facilities are in excellent condition and the private toilet is great. This should be available much more often. The beach is fine sandy, clean and big enough. The bread seller comes to the campsite every day and every day there is a different local trader who brings his wares. We liked it, also because the nearest supermarket is a bit far away. Unfortunately, there is also a lack of restaurants in the area, which is completely incomprehensible as one campsite follows another on this stretch of coast. For me, this is completely incomprehensible, even if it is not the campsite's fault. To relax for a while and preferably in the low season with Rabat, this is an absolute top place. Price-performance winner!

Ideal beach location in the south of Sicily
Very friendly operators, German is spoken. Daily mobile bread service and ice cream, several times a week mobile vendors for fruit/vegetables, meat and fish - all of good and fresh quality. Small supermarket within walking distance - German is also spoken here. To the right and left of the Scarabeo are... two other campsites with the same facilities. Excursions to the surrounding area are possible. The area is characterized by greenhouses, which is not "charming" at first. However, there is a quiet bay with a perfect sandy beach. Ideal for a beach holiday.

Green, clean, well-kept pitches (2 CP next to each other)
Very nice CP but without soul. Staff friendly (lady at check-in) or very unfriendly (lady at reception). Not enough showers when fully occupied. Access to the beach at one of the two campsites only via stairs. Shopping facilities very poor. Car must be parked in a separate parking space separated by the road. Waste disposal also not on the campsite, but only accessible via the road.
