However, we would not give the site 5 stars compared to other campsites. Unfortunately, there is a large renovation backlog, the bathrooms and especially the men's toilet, the chemical toilet,... dog bath were not cleaned often enough. The dog playground was not maintained at all and very dilapidated. Overall, the place made a rather unkempt and neglected impression. A pity really, because the location is greatSamodejno prevedeno.

There is toilet paper piss on the ground for days in front of the disposal stations for the automatic disposers for a fee - nobody cares.
Somehow you get the feeling of being on a mediocre to below-mediocre site - the special, the/a 5 star area: no. The pitch was crooked and bent with various holes. And an awful lot of gravel, no grass.
We came with a dog, which costs a whopping €9 a day in high season.
I really don't know why, especially as dogs are only allowed on... the site. Yes, there is a dog shower and a few dispensers for poop bags. But that doesn't justify €9.
The gastronomy and the snack bar on the campsite cannot be recommended either.
The whole entertainment area is unfortunately very unkempt.
Unfortunately there were only 2 showers in the wash house near us, so you have to queue. However, the showers are really nice and spacious.
I also thought the crockery area was great, there were even dishwashers.
I found it a bit difficult to cycle from the campsite. The path is far too narrow. Many people also have a bicycle trailer. I also find it too narrow for wheelchair users.

Even when selecting the pitch on the homepage, everything was clearly laid out and it was quick to choose a suitable pitch.
We received a friendly welcome at reception. We also liked the fact that there was a sufficient selection of fresh bread rolls in the morning, as well as the evening... entertainment, whether you join in or not.
Burg is easy to reach by bike. The proximity to the golf course will be the reason for our next visit.

Our accommodation "Seeschwalbe" was in top order and clean. We felt very comfortable. The registration was uncomplicated and very nice. The small supermarket had a very extensive range of products. There were even fresh bread rolls throughout the day. It's easy to get... to and offers all sorts of things. It's easy to go on bike tours from the campsite. It's flat and no destination is too far away. You can quickly explore the whole island.
Unfortunately we had very noisy neighbors (4) with small children (2) and a large dog. They didn't really respect our privacy in front of the house/terrace. In the form of flying kites or playing and running around directly in front of our terrace. Dogs barking and even the children were "cooking" in front of the house. Disgusting. They were also very loud overall with no consideration for the vacationers next to them.
The beach could be cleaner. There were a lot of dogs on the site. As a result, there was dog excrement everywhere on the beach or on the paths. You had to look carefully where you stepped. Something like this must not and should not happen and could be better controlled!!! You pay tourist tax for that.
The restaurants on the site are not recommended at all. It is dirty, sticky. Weeds everywhere. The price/performance ratio is also not good at all. Better to barbecue in front of your tent or bungalow! You get more out of it! 👍🏼
The daily entertainment - no matter for whom - young or old - was far too loud and went on long into the night. That was annoying. You're on a campsite. Everyone hears everyone else in some way. We did have one complaint about the beach when we left.
It could be a beautiful beach if it was regularly cleaned so that it could be used without hindrance. There is bird droppings everywhere and you constantly... have to be careful not to step in them.
It was also not a pleasure for me to use the sea. I find it more than unpleasant to go into the water there. I have to walk through the slippery seaweed everywhere.
My suggestion would be to build a longer bathing jetty into the deeper water at the steps to the Baltic Sea. 1st pitch deteriorated from year to year and despite complaints nothing was changed and we were regularly drowned.
For years they have wanted to change something, nothing happens.
2nd We had a permanent camper above us where a whirlpool was running all the time, which... was really annoying. The pump was so loud, and the whirlpool was in operation all the time, despite two complaints, where we were assured to take care, nothing was done. People sat in it until 3am so we could hardly sleep.
3. in the wash house at the lake view they did not manage to replace defective toilet lids and shower heads over 2 weeks, although several people complained.
4. we had a special, which included a meal. so far this always took place in a restaurant, this year we had to eat in the bistro. When we made our reservation, we were told that we were not allowed to eat schnitzel, but were offered currywurst and chips. This was served on a cardboard tray with a wooden fork.
The food was really disgusting.
This place does not deserve 5 stars in my opinion.
We have been coming to Wulfener Hals for over 20 years, but it gets worse every year.
This year was really really bad.

Unfortunately the pool was very cold and not heated as described. The beach was unclean and was not cleaned all week. There were huge piles of poo from swans right by the playground. There were also dead smelly birds on the... beach section of the campsite for days. Lots of seaweed was also not removed and some of it stank so badly that you had no interest in going anywhere. There were some changes, the relocation of the barrier, the expansion of the wash houses, the reception etc. and we always booked for the next year on arrival.
However, what we experienced... this year made us decide not to come back.
We felt like we were on a club vacation where no one cared if any rules were followed. I contacted the night watchman 3 times on Father's Day weekend, but the parties went on uninterrupted until after midnight. During the day and also during the midday rest, perhaps it no longer exists, you could hear loud music from various pitches. Unfortunately, you could only relax when you left the pitch.
I felt most cheated when we received the meal voucher for the special we had booked. We could now go for a fancy meal in the bistro.

We were particularly lucky with the weather this year...but we only had really bad weather in 2011....and I've been to Wulfener Hals over 30 times...., so that's a good rate that other resorts would like to achieve. It's one of the few places with entertainment and a program....although... there used to be more on offer. As I'm a musician, I really like the Wulfener Hals Band. The new singer Izzy will captivate everyone with her voice.....you could listen for hours. I also played along improvised. The technician and drummer Ruben has been at the Wulfener Hals for many years and does a job that is hardly affordable. Saskia is not only a good bassist/guitarist/singer but also an absolute asset to the whole team.
Development of the Wulfener Hals over the last few years: there seems to be a particular emphasis on attracting a special clientele....Golfing has always been very important. The new golf hotel also appears to be another milestone. But I hope and wish that the Wulfener Hals will remain an attractive vacation destination for the lower and middle classes in the future, where you can go on vacation with your own caravan/motorhome and that in a few years' time there will not only be rental properties available. Permanent campers are also part of the image of the Wulfener Hals, whose acquaintance with each other creates a cohesive image and gives the site a positive image.
