"Sehr schöner CP im Herzen der Provinz Groningen - Sehr empfehlenswert: schöner CP, freundliches Personal, saubere, moderne Sanitäranlagen. Schöner, alter Baumbestand und Hecken. Das Restaurant ist schick und wird auch extern genutzt (das spricht in der Regel für ein Restaurant!), guter Brötchenservice, Kanuverleih am CP, sowie Liegeplätze für Wassersportler. Die Lage von Winsum passt, um die Provinz Groningen zu erkunden. Ein sehr gut organisiertes Radwegesystem (fast ohne Straßenbenutzung!) bringt ein überall hin. Und die Bahn ab Winsum alle 30 Minuten in das Zentrum von Groningen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in Wisum vorhanden (Supermarkt und ALDI).

MARENLAND recreation is an very varied medium-sized recreation company situated on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Winsum (13 km north of the city of Groningen). It is situated in the heart of a rising tourist area, the so-called …Maren area of the province of Groningen, or Lauwersland. Winsum is directly located on several (ANWB) canoe, bicycle and walking routes, e.g. the LAW (= Long Distance Walking route) Pieterpad. By offering various leisure products one gets an opportunity to get to know the many varied possibilities of the Maren area of the province of Groningen and Lauwersland. Winsum is situated on road N361 and can easily be reached by train and bus. There are many possibilities for active rest seekers and nature lovers (gardens, birds, the Wadden), culture (manors, regional museums, art galleries) and historical/agricultural elements (impressive farms, manor houses, mills). Furthermore the city of Groningen is well worth a visit.
