That's what I've had for the last few weeks. The best way to explore the island is definitely by bike, no question about it. Of course, safety should not stand in the way of this. When it comes to cycle paths, we know that work is always ongoing. We are happy to give tips on routes with great destinations where the cycle paths have been developed. Feel free to ask us.

As we were traveling with our dog, the dog beach... was important to us and he really enjoyed it. The new dog wash facility is great, it's worth the trip for that alone and he also enjoyed the agility course. The small supermarket on site has everything you need and the operators are very nice and helpful. We were traveling with a large Swiss mountain dog and the place was also very practical for the dog.

The outdoor facilities are kept beautifully clean and the sanitary buildings can also be used at... any time without any scruples.
Very friendly girls at reception who are always happy to help. Likewise the site staff...very friendly and helpful.
There has also been an always friendly and well-stocked shop with fresh bread rolls for many years.
Only the catering is a little behind...the staff are always friendly there too...but often seem overwhelmed and there is a long wait for drinks...the menu is also a little simple, the portions quite small and not very cheap.

The location right by the sea in general is great and also invites you to go on bike tours. The wash houses are always clean, seemingly recently renovated and very well equipped. Only a second soap dispenser would sometimes be helpful 😉
The pitches are really large, so... you don't feel cramped and can sit comfortably in front of the awning.
The only thing our children were disappointed about was that the play barn only opened on Maundy Thursday, just before we left. The Kettcars and scooters for the pump track were also only fully available shortly before departure. As it was already a vacation even in SH, this was unfortunately not entirely understandable, but it was actually the only minor point of criticism.

For us, everything is just right here: great, large pitches with well-secured electricity, fresh water and partly direct waste water, the possibility to separate your own waste sensibly, great wash houses... in good numbers, modern and always clean, and simply a good basic atmosphere. The dog beach is right next door and you can watch a fantastic sunset.
There is a really well-stocked corner store with freshly baked rolls, croissants and all kinds of goodies. Children feel just as free and welcome as dogs.
Camping is still the way I want it to be: it's up to me and the wind whether I pitch my mobile crossways or lengthways, the dog fence is clear if it's needed, children can roam around all day. No excessive animation, but still countless possibilities. Be free, look out to sea with a coffee (or beer) and let your mind wander. The campsite is quiet and you can enjoy your time. You can also go for lovely walks along the coast. The new wash house is very nice. The pitches are large enough and are always looked after so that you feel comfortable as a guest.
We will... definitely spend our vacation there again next year.
Disadvantages
One small thing would be the WLan. The reception is only really good outside. Unfortunately, it hardly works at all or not at all in the caravan. There is a spacious registration area.
In addition to the "fenced" pitch, there is also a meadow where you are about 10m from the coast and 30m from the sea.
The sanitary area is not only picobello but also an oasis of well-being.
There is also a huge... play area for children and a fenced agility course for dogs.
Everyone was very friendly and made the vacation a great experience.

Staff were always friendly and courteous, even when I spontaneously used it and wanted to extend for another day, no drama at all. Our 9 year old really enjoyed the children's activities and was very happy. The wash house we were able to use was great, clean and modern. The little shop had a great selection and reasonable prices. The fact that we could bring the dog was also really great.NegativnoBeware of moaning at a high level! The pitch was relatively long. Which made our set-up more difficult. Very clean and well-kept place.
Sanitary facilities very clean; great showers; washing machines and dryers available; highlight I found the bathtubs for the babies, I didn't need them but thought it was great.
The self-service supermarket is well stocked and the bread rolls are... delicious.
The restaurant Meeresbrise has very nice staff and we were able to get to know Ukrainian cuisine and it was very, very tasty.
