Completely overbooked, everything was very dirty, poorly cleaned, only card payments accepted, unfriendly staff because they were completely stressed out due to overbooking—NOTHING IS AS IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE; THEY OFFER A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SPOT. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it.

I had the feeling that the camper wasn't a priority for the operator. A lively email exchange afterward—so I can back up what I'm saying—showed me that revenue takes precedence over the camper.

Review of Häppy Life Camping Burgen Mosel
The campground was very disorganized and overcrowded. There were too many people for the limited number of restroom facilities.
The campsites were small and crammed together. Some campers were told where to set up, while others were allowed to set up wherever there was space.
The restrooms were very small—actually clean, but full of spiders.
The campground would benefit from more trees to provide shade.

Uncomplicated arrival and departure. Departure by 13:00, so no stress, could have a leisurely breakfast and then dismantle. Nice reception. Bread roll service on site.

On one side a busy road, on the other side railroad tracks. I am very sensitive to noise and was woken up by freight trains at around 4am. It didn't wake my family. The pitches are not demarcated, so they are squeezed together if necessary. Therefore, especially for long caravans, it is a bit tight to drive out when the pitch is full. Heaters and hot air fryers are not permitted due to the risk of blackouts. You can see this when you look at the power distribution.

We were there for 3 nights.
Sanitary facilities not new, but okay. Could be a little cleaner. But that was enough for us for the few days.
Toilets were also sufficient and okay.

Washing machine available if required.

No own water supply, but everything in the immediate vicinity.

Dog-friendly, with... dog meadow.

Hardly any campers could be heard after 10 pm.
Only the road and rail traffic.

Nice that we didn't have to drive far for the bread rolls.

We had a nice stay for a few days and would come again for a short trip.

The area around Burgen

Large clan families, loud noise, cleanliness of the sanitary facilities, very expensive for what is on offer
It used to be a beautiful place
That was it for the once beautiful campsite. The new operator is leaving everything on the site. Were on the site in May 2025. Large clan families are now the permanent campers there. The clan's children race around the site on e-scooters without any consideration, the adults smoke in the sanitary facilities,... and if you say anything, you'll get a massive attack. Loud music is also played all day long. The operator doesn't seem to care, the main thing is to make money. There is not much to be seen of cleanliness in the sanitary facilities either. The prices for the overnight stay are clearly at the upper limit, with an additional 5 euros for electricity and another 4 euros for garbage per day. Prices in the camping pub and in the store have also risen dramatically, where a bottle of wine is sold for 15 euros, whereas in Müden it costs 6 euros from the producer. The advertised vending machines in Burgen (also run by the site owner) are also extremely expensive. For us it was the last time on this site, next time we'll just drive further up the Moselle, there are also nice and cheaper places there.

Many hiking trails start close to the campsite.
The electricity and water supply is spread across the... site.
The noise from the road and the railroad line didn't bother us.
The sanitary building is rather basic, but was mostly clean.
The village of Burgen doesn't have much to offer. Lots of vacancies.
The self-service vending machine about 300 m away is attractive. You can get pretty much anything here. From kitchen roll to disposable barbecues, numerous drinks and toothbrushes.
We did not use the pool.

The campsite is located directly on the banks of the Moselle, which is spoiled by the sun. The noise from trains and roads is now almost everywhere on the Moselle, but didn't bother us too much. There is a very good public transport connection to Koblenz and nice little wine bars everywhere.
The sanitary... facilities are fine and clean and the small store sells bread rolls and a small range of other food and, of course, Moselle wine.
We will definitely be back again!

Nice and uncomplicated reception. You stand free on a large meadow directly on the Moselle. We would come again.

Good location
Camping in a good location between Cochem and Koblenz. Beautifully situated directly on the Moselle. Friendly operators and very clean sanitary facilities. Very good value for money with ACSI Card. The campsite itself is quiet, but the road behind the campsite is very noisy, so be sure to take earplugs with you.
Path to pitches sometimes very muddy when it rains.

We were just passing through. The site is clean, as are the sanitary facilities. The operators are nice. However, the site is right on the road. If that doesn't bother you, you can spend a very nice vacation here

The operators are very friendly and go to great lengths even under difficult corona conditions. We were here with 2 motorhomes and stood opposite each other on a meadow. We liked that very much.
Negativno
The permanent campers who arrive at the weekend act as the site operator's assistants, ruthlessly traipsing between the motorhomes and giving "good tips" on how to position the vehicles because of the emergency lane. We parked as specified by the operator and the next vehicle was only 200m behind our vehicle. Unfortunately, mutual consideration and decency cannot be bought online. Too bad, but our attitude towards permanent campers was impressively confirmed.
Campsite okay - many permanent campers
The location of the site is beautiful, but rather uninteresting without a vehicle. The bus runs once an hour and the Moselsteig trail is on the other side of the Moselle. Unfortunately, there is neither a ferry nor a bridge nearby.
Infrastructure in the town is close to zero. We wanted to order a table... in a restaurant. This is only possible until 7pm. The bakery closes at 11 in the morning. We couldn't find a store to do our shopping. Nevertheless, you can spend three or four nice days here, but nothing more.

A beautiful place on the Moselle
A well-kept site on the Moselle. Well suited as a starting point for exploring the area by bike or car. For the riverside pitches, sensitive minds must bear in mind that a railroad line runs along the opposite bank of the Moselle. But otherwise: highly recommended!

Beautiful location on the Moselle, but too loud
The sanitary facilities were just containers and a bit outdated, but quite clean. We were brought to the pitch by the campsite owner and given very friendly instructions. A small downer was that the parking position of the caravan was prescribed. Unfortunately, there is no parcelling out of the pitches,... so that some people almost run through your front door. It is very noisy due to two main roads on both sides of the Moselle, freight trains (which run on two tracks at night) and the narrow valley. Of course, the owner of the campsite can't do anything about this, but it did bother us.

Four great days on the Moselle
We received a very friendly welcome on arrival and were accompanied to the pitch. There they helped us to push the caravan to the pitch. We liked the location of the pitch, the cleanliness and the very friendly staff. In the store you could buy a lot of what you needed, grilled meat, sausages, milk,... rolls, newspapers......we will come back again. Burgen itself is only 300 meters away, where there are restaurants, bakeries, wine taverns, savings bank etc.. Hikes can also be done very well from there. We liked it

We stayed at the campsite on the Moselle from Ascension Day to Whitsun. The site was very full on the public holidays, but during the week there was very little going on. The sanitary facilities are dark and old, but clean. You can buy good bread rolls and the small store has everything you need. Unfortunately,... you can't see much of the Moselle as the bank is blocked off by permanent campers and so there is no access to the Moselle from the pitch. The permanent campers also tend to use the site as an allotment garden. We found the operators to be very nice and particularly committed. You can actually see the operator working all the time and checking that everything is in order. The campsite is basically okay and can be recommended. The village of Burgen was a bit problematic for us, as it is really very small and you are constantly dependent on the car to get to everything. the nearest supermarket, for example, is 15 kilometers away. Cycling with small children is not possible as the cycle path is integrated into the road with a speed limit of 100. In our opinion, the campsite is also not really ideal for children. Most of the visitors were also older couples. Our children were the only children on the site for a week, which is of course a shame as there is a lack of playmates. There is a playground, but it is not suitable for 2 year olds and there is a small pool, but we were only able to use it on the last 2 days as it was not filled beforehand, despite the summer temperatures. I wouldn't recommend coming here with small children as they can't really play anywhere on their own and the place gets boring quickly, so you have to rely on doing daily activities. I would recommend the place for older people and hiking enthusiasts.

Beautiful location, well-kept meadow. Clean and modern sanitary facilities. Play areas for children available. If you don't want to dip your feet in the Moselle, you can use the heated pool. Great bread service!

Beautiful and well-maintained campsite....
We were on the pitch at Easter 2019. The site was fully booked and the weather was super nice. Despite all this, everything worked out perfectly! The sanitary facilities were always clean and sufficient. Short distances to the bus stop and restaurants. Small kiosk on site and well stocked.
