Space for a stopover
The site is close to the main road heading north (Örebrö) and is therefore well suited for a stopover. We didn't find the road too noisy. The campsite is situated on a hill. A special construction is therefore necessary for some pitches in order to be reasonably level. Askersund can be reached on foot in about 30 minutes and is well worth a visit.

Pozitívne
Beautiful pitches on the lake. Swimming/fishing opportunities. Boat hire. Very good sanitary facilities and service. Small town nearby (1.5km walk along the shore).
Negatívne
Long-distance road audible. Permanent campers with lawnmowers and background music at the weekend.
We stayed longer than expected
From the road it looks like a treeless desert of permanent campers, but that is deceptive. There are a whole series of beautiful pitches in the immediate vicinity of the lake. Lots of relaxed campers. Service very accommodating. Sanitary facilities spacious and clean. Pitch 08/2014: 240 SEK/night (= € 26)

Beautiful, terraced and parceled-out site directly on the lake with bathing area. Very friendly owners. Sanit. Facilities good and clean, washing up outdoors under a large canopy, as WW only at a tap, but no problem. To the center about 1.5 KM, from the campsite a footpath leads directly to Askerusund
