"Vanaf een plekje onder de bomen uitkijken op een traag stromend riviertje de Elb - Tijdens ons reizen door Duitsland werden we in augustus 2025 positiv verrast door Stellplatz Marina Coswig, in Coswig-Anhalt, vlakbij Lutherstadt Wittingen. Wij hebben hier met onze camper een paar dagen gestaan. Zelf een plek uitzoeken is meestal geen probleem en ook met een caravan is het hier, aan de oever van de Elbe goed toeven. Uitstekend sanitaire voorzieningen. Ook op doorreis van en naar Nederland ligt Marina Coswig op een prima locatie.

"We slept well here - A very pretty pitch, where you can tell that the operators don't want the ordinary and that's good for the guests (which restaurant plays horror clips on the 2nd floor of the restaurant for Halloween? Really cool idea). The barrier opens by itself after booking at the machine (OK, there was a technical problem at our stop, just reverse away from the barrier and drive slowly towards the barrier again, then it will open. We got this tip from the friendly voice behind the cell phone number provided ;-) ). Then you look for a free space according to your taste and size and then take in the idyll. The pitches are actually quite spacious, but the small trees separating the pitches prevent you from using the awnings. The sanitary facilities, restaurant, vacation apartments etc. are not simply stone on stone. Here you can see something from "A Thousand and One Nights" in every direction. The toilets and showers are really something special. And everything was clean during our stay. I ignored the odd leaf from the fall foliage that the guest unintentionally dragged into the toilet. All in all, a bomb of a place, a bomb of ideas from the operators, a place that you can't recommend, but simply have to. The fact that our ticket was printed at 12:10 on departure instead of 15:03 on entry was due to a technical problem, but in our case it wasn't important. Electricity and hot showers cost extra. And remember, camper van drivers greet each other.

"Bad luck on arrival - The starter battery failed completely in front of the barrier. Many campers, including the site operator, helped me. It was a great feeling for us. The operator couple organized a new battery in a nearby workshop and also drove me there personally. Thank you very much.

"Extended weekend - The place we like very well for a few days, because we live only 40 km away.On foot and by bike you can see a lot.We have not used the restaurant, but it looks very inviting.It is pleasantly quiet and with the dog there are many ways.Bags must be carried, because there are nowhere dispensers.The Havenburg was unfortunately closed.The sanitary facilities are clean and nicely designed.That this toilet order must be imposed is very sad. I never want to believe that people behave so badly and damage other people's property, it's just shameful.

"Never again - Operators are not really interested in foreign guests. You're just there. In the toilet the light went out 3 times, there is a timer in the light, i.e. always press the switch again beforehand, otherwise you are in the dark When the toilet paper and towel dispenser were empty, I was told to call, sorry I don't have a cell phone in the toilet (maybe check more often myself, put in larger rolls or a replacement). The shower room is not particularly suitable for freshening up the wife as it also has no window. There were a lot of small parking lights out at our place (probably 6 or 7 in a row). I could certainly have called, but I assume that the groundsman checks this himself (we were there for 3 nights). According to Facebook, there was talk of an anniversary offer, 3 nights for the price of 2 nights. But I paid the price of three. Of course I could have called the operator to clarify some things, but with 30 occupied pitches (really not overcrowded) you can expect someone to go through and say a warm welcome. Fine for one night (stopover).
