Sanitary facilities are always very clean. Both the older and the new sanitary building. The store on the site has a large enough range of products for a campsite. Bread rolls are always fresh, even without pre-ordering. Breakfast... is also available directly in the store.
The beach is right next to the campsite. Cycling and hiking trails go through or past the campsite.
Wismar is very easy to reach by bike.

The toilet cards are personalized to the pitch numbers and are therefore usually handed in at reception if lost (this is what happened to me) Great proximity to the beach and several access points to it. The beach is good for kitesurfing, but the very wide sandbank also makes it nice for smaller children. Supermarket with terrace and café, pizzeria, goulash cannon and crêpe/cake stand on site. Friendly staff. All in all a really nice place, electricity is a bit overpriced.NegatívneThe small sanitary building by the hill smells quite strong and there are a lot of woodlice there. We had the pitch on the hill, from there it's quite far to the reception, but that's just the way it is and can't be changed.Nice place with good location, but boring at EasterWe didn't like the Easter bonfire at all. First it was postponed from Saturday to Sunday for unknown reasons (it can't even have been the weather, there was no rain, no wind), then it was more of a bonfire than a fire, but it burned all day and there were flakes of ash trickling over the campsite. When... we wanted to get a sausage and beer there at 20:10 in the evening, it was already closed. During the day there were only about 20 people there. That doesn't create an atmosphere. Why don't you have the bonfire a bit away from the site, e.g. on your great beach, make it bigger and in the evening? Then you'd have less effort because it wouldn't last as long and the atmosphere would be shorter but crisper because more people would be there at the same time.

We had a 120m² pitch in area E. This was more than sufficient. The parking lot directly in front of the pitch was practical.
Sanitary facilities were... always clean at the end of the main season.
At least you don't have to use shower tokens to shower, you can use a rechargeable card. This can certainly help some people to use resources more sparingly.
The campsite has its own beach. Unfortunately, dog owners have to walk a little further. The beach is very shallow - so it's also suitable for small children.
There is a rear exit in area E, where you can leave the campsite with your dog via a short route. The only drawback, which does not affect the campsite itself, is the beach area in front of it. A wide, overgrown and stony strip separates the narrow beach from the very shallow water. A few hundred meters further on, access... to the water is at least more comfortable. However, the huge shallow water area is characteristic of the Wohlenberger Wiek. The sanitary facilities are not only very clean, but also well thought out. There is a separate area for children. The washbasins, showers and toilets are at different heights. It is suitable for all ages / sizes.... An extra room with a dog shower. The dog enters the shower basin via a non-slip ramp. The owner does not have to bend down, the dog is at a comfortable height. Hot/cold water of course. Shaking is no problem. Everything is tiled and can be rinsed off. The dog shower is cleaned in the same way as the sanitary facilities and chemical toilet disposal.
The small mini market with café is well-stocked and offers home-made cakes. There is also a small ice cream parlor and a pizzeria. Freshly prepared and tasty food. All at absolutely fair prices.
We had booked a comfort pitch right on the Wiek and had a direct view of the water from our camper van - wonderful.
From the pitch you can walk on the adjacent cliff or below, directly on the water. There is a cycle path along the cliffs to Zierow. From here it is not far to Wismar. Indescribably beautiful nature.
You can also cycle to the unique Kopfbuchen and the imposing Festonalle at Bothmer Castle in Klützer Winkel, as well as the fashionable seaside resort of Boltenhagen.
The Baltic Sea coastal cycle path leads past here.
Excursions to Travemünde and the island of Pöel are possible.
If you are looking for peace and relaxation, but also don't want to miss out on the hustle and bustle of the seaside resorts, or simply want to enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings, this is the place for you.

The natural beach is only for gravel lovers but unfortunately not for people with bad joints. Very nice check-in (we were let onto the pitch much earlier than planned). Store... and pizzeria on the pitch - affordable and good. Electricity, water and waste water directly at each pitch. But we can well understand the demand for this pitch! The pitches are beautiful, with shade and sun possible on almost every pitch. I've never seen sanitary facilities this clean before, great.... The staff at reception and the café are great! The food on offer is very extensive, also thanks to the special vehicles (crepes trolley, goulash cannon) and Anja's snack bar is fantastic value for money. Last but not least, the Italian restaurant, with great dishes but "slightly grumpy" staff. We only had good experiences and contacts while wandering through the permanent camper zone.
Negatives here are whining at a very, very high level, but nevertheless.....
In our experience, there is no free Wi-Fi, but the site is largely free of Wi-Fi. For a 12-year-old, that's the end of the world, but I was happy about the media silence. It would be nice if there were more restricted times for accessing the campsite. You really can't get across the campsite to the beach at any time without constantly having to jump to the side.

Our "comfort pitch", for which we had to pay extra, was directly opposite the new sanitary facilities and unfortunately also close to the garbage dump. Since the friendly fellow campers also dispose of glass at 24:00 at night or at 07:00 in... the morning, this was unfortunately somewhat unfavorable. The sanitary building is super nice and always clean! One negative aspect is the so-called "natural beach". Unfortunately, it is full of washed up algae etc. and there are also various pieces of rubble and broken glass. There is a surcharge of €5 per night for dogs. Unfortunately, there are not even Robidog stations, but a dog shower for which you have to pay extra for the water. The "dog alley" to leave the campsite is unfortunately an imposition as it is full of dog poo and other garbage. The "dog run" does not deserve this name (very small) and is generally very loveless. The friendliness of the reception unfortunately left a lot to be desired, for example there was a €5 fee for our transfer of the reservation fee on the bill without comment. Checking out at 12:00 instead of 11:00 was unfortunately not possible despite many empty pitches.....
In addition to the pitch fees, you have to pay extra for everything here (electricity, water, beach use)
