Very unfriendly operator couple
You are watched suspiciously all day long and snapped at for every little thing. Children under the age of 6 are not allowed to go to the toilet alone. Controlled by the operator. In terms of friendliness, flexibility and hospitality, it was simply subterranean.

Ground too soft for mobile homes. Little space for short-term camping because of the many permanent campers. Unfriendly campsite warden.
Unfavorable ground conditions for mobile homes
My stay at Camping St. Margrethen: 08.14 - 03.15. Mobile home set up due to work nearby. Due to heavy rainfall on 12.14. and 01.15., the camper van sank into a wet parking space (required breakdown service). I was then allowed to park my camper across the street in a parking lot - without electricity for the same price...

A place that I unfortunately cannot recommend
Unfortunately, this is not a good place. The operators are very unfriendly. If you stand on this pitch, you inevitably become dependent on the staff. The staff shamelessly take advantage of this.

Small, quiet and inexpensive site. Mainly permanent campers. Railroad only a few meters away, but can hardly be heard. Footpath under the railroad to the beautiful, quiet lakeshore approx. 5 min. Dogs welcome. Only a few minutes' walk to the meadows and fields through the rear exit towards the lake.... Sanitary building looks like newly renovated and very clean! Everything works perfectly! Well-stocked store and small restaurant. Operator couple and other guests very friendly and helpful. We felt comfortable and would love to come back. Were there again at the end of March 2012. Before the season. Booked by phone and got a place. The terrace has now been nicely renovated and a new power connection box installed, with Euro plug.
