Spacious pitches, well-kept grounds, short walk to the Atlantic! Relatively high price for dogs, so a dog washing area could/should be set up.

Breach of contract/fraud
Stay was planned from 26.08.23 - 11.09.23.
According to the contract According to the contract, it was possible to cancel 30 days before the start of the trip, with a full refund of the deposit.
I canceled my reservation more than 100 days before the start of my trip. After countless emails with the campsite, the administration and even the mayor (he didn't even respond!), I have still not received a refund of my deposit of €237.

We had made a request for 10 days with a baby, if possible a little quieter and in the shade. We were assured of this. On arrival, a large group of young people with a beer pong table were placed right next to us. When asked, there was little understanding and only a half-hearted alternative was offered. When we asked to leave (max. one hour after arrival) we were told that we would not receive our payment for 10 days again.

Opposite are several summer camps with young people of all ages. However, bedtime from 23:00 and therefore o.k.
An affordable and good recommendation
The municipal campsite in Montalivet-les-Bains is located approx. 500-600 m from the beach and approx. 800 m from the "town center". This means that everything is within walking distance of the campsite. There is a supermarket and a market hall in the town as well as stores and, during the season, almost... always a huge market including a "food mile" - very good! The facilities are simple but complete, tidy and clean. Power connections for motorhomes and caravans are European standard. Water is only available at central points. The reception is very friendly and speaks French/English. There is free WLAN (only in certain areas), the use of the washing machine is free of charge. Not open all year round (May to September). The 8 motorhome pitches ("camping car") are particularly inexpensive (although not very large). We stayed six nights in the high season for an incredible €104 (2 p./camper/electricity/6x night). Barbecue areas are available (no barbecues allowed). The stay must be paid for in advance! So you should know what you are planning :-)
