Stefan S.október 2025PozitívneCamp by the lake, friendlinessNegatívneClose to the road, sometimes long waiting times at the barrier, hot showers cost extranice, small campsiteThe campsite is beautifully situated directly on the Greifensee; the terraced layout means that you have an unobstructed view of the lake from many of the pitches. The staff are very friendly. Unfortunately, the lakeside road runs along the lake behind the site and is clearly audible during the day,... occasionally also airplanes from Kloten airport. Sanitary is old, but clean, hot showers cost 50 centimes extra per 3 min. As long as someone else was showering, the water was still cold. The sanitary building is too small, because at that time the place was only about half full and yet you sometimes had to wait in the morning. Soap, toilet paper, hand dryers and disinfectant are available. There are also books to borrow, a playground, a restaurant, a table tennis table and a hot plate. There is a barrier at the entrance, which sometimes takes a little patience to open when you enter. Access is via a slightly sloping gravel forest path, which is not lit at night. A Denner and Coop are about 2 km away in Fällanden and are both within walking distance along the lake. The sanitary facilities are clean and OK. Washing machine and tumble dryer are used diligently. 3-minute showers cost an extra half a franc.
Beautiful bike tours on cycle paths are possible from here. I can really only say good things about the hosts Maria and Alberto. They make everything possible for the guests. The campsite has a simple restaurant that serves very tasty food that Erika prepares excellently.
The sanitary facilities are always tiptop... clean.
There is a large tent meadow directly on the lake for small to large tents.
There are plenty of shops in Maur and Fällanden, and you can also buy the essentials from Maria on site.
E-bikes can also be hired.

After the dictatorship and oppression came to an end last year, the government has changed. We were once again greeted lovingly and courteously with excellent service. It is an ideal starting point for bike rides and hikes around the beautiful Greifensee. The motorhomes and campers are very close together on a gravel parking lot. The tents are fully exposed to prying eyes and stand in the blazing sun. There is no tree to provide shade.
