"Large facility with many inclusive services - I'm not really a fan of such large facilities with entertainment and all that, but my children are and I have to say it's really great what's on offer here, which is included in the price: Playground, bouncy castle, trampoline, mini golf, pétanque, table tennis, volleyball, basketball, various sized pools, giant slide. Mini golf clubs, table tennis bats etc. can be borrowed free of charge. There is also a bike rental, massage, food truck, epicerie, entertainment, barbecue rental. The only thing that doesn't quite fit the picture is that the WLAN costs extra and is quite expensive. In addition, there is the beautiful location in the pine forest, directly behind the dunes, a beautiful sandy beach and the Atlantic Ocean. Although the clientele is international, at this time of year it is predominantly German or Swabian. The pitches are large enough. St. Girons-Plage is a few minutes' walk away, but there's not much to see there. A proper supermarket is at least 8 km away. And now comes the star deduction: only tight-fitting swimming trunks are allowed in the pool, which we only found out from the reviews on this site. My son does not have these. However, they can be purchased in the Epicerie on the campsite, as well as from a vending machine on site. The price is reasonable, boldly marked with the MS Vacances logo. Unfortunately, these swimming trunks didn't even survive the two-week stay: the seams came undone and the fabric became brittle. We didn't get a replacement, the same size was no longer available, but we would have received a 10% = €0.99 discount on a new pair of swimming trunks. We couldn't expect anything better for ten euro swimming trunks. C'est nul! The wash house is not 4-star: there is no toilet paper or soap. Toilet seats are missing (as is often the case in France). The shower hose can't be held, let alone adjusted, which is what I would expect with 4 stars. Clean

"Motorhome pitch without WC and shower! - Only the motorhome pitch is rated here. When booking at the machine in front of the barrier, it is unfortunately not clear that there is no toilet here. There is a toilet on the beach, but unfortunately no shower. We would like to rinse off the salt water. We went on to Zumaia in the Spanish Basque country. That's more worthwhile!

"Still no money received despite travel cancellation insurance! - I canceled my booking over 2 months ago due to an injury. I took out travel cancellation insurance and forwarded all the necessary documents. After a long email correspondence, I received a message from the campsite that all the documents were complete and that the money would be transferred to me. To date, however, I have not received a reply to my last e-mail (10 days ago, the campsite undertakes to reply within 72 hours during the low season) or the money. I am very angry!

"Unfortunately, it's lost a lot of its appeal, - The sanitary facility 2 smelled pungent and was obviously not cleaned enough so there was a lot of garbage in the sanitary cabins. Hot water for showering was a matter of luck, hot water for rinsing was not available at all. Some of the lighting in the shower/wash cubicles did not work at all. Approx. 50%. Very unfriendly service from the ladies at reception. As we have been to this place several times, we left very disappointed this year.

"Tourterelles - very disappointing - We have been camping there almost every year for over 20 years now and have been through several changes of ownership. It got worse from year to year. Now we get the 2nd year (2017+2018) no place. New owner again since last year. Hardly bookable anymore, very noisy because of the surf camps. We were offered places by the pool or at the barbecue area. Unfortunately no longer recommended. We are now going somewhere else.

"Beautiful place in the middle of the forest - We were there in June. It was very quiet and the pool area and restaurant were still closed. Even in the small town of Vielle-Saint-Girons-Plage, many stores and restaurants were not yet open. The location is great. Pitches in the middle of the forest, very nice beach, also for dogs. The sanitary facilities were fine. There were a few groups of young surfers on the site, but it was always quiet. The reception staff were very friendly. It is a very large site with lots of units.
