Recommended campsite
According to the website, it is only possible to register by email. After I didn't hear back after a week, I called. A very nice lady apologized that there had been no reply. She then took the registration over the phone. The website states, among other things, arrival by 12.30 pm. After being stuck... in a traffic jam, we arrived 5 minutes before the barrier closed (or so we thought). But the lunch break doesn't start until 1.00 pm. It didn't have to be so stressful. The senior manager? took a relaxed view of everything. First look for a parking space and then come by later to register! Great! When we registered in the afternoon, she gave us various tips for visiting the surrounding area. Great! The sanitary facilities are spacious and were always clean. Both paper towels and soap were available! The campsite is located on the edge of the Südheide and is ideal for long bike tours to Hankensbüttel (Otterpark), Uelzen (including Hunderwasser station) etc.. We felt very comfortable at the campsite and can recommend it without reservation.

Not a real disadvantage, but worth knowing: creativity is required when planning leisure activities. And: self-catering, as there is no store on site.
Solid and good
I'm currently on the course and can only say that it feels pretty good so far. The operators are really nice and helpful, that is, if you have the courage to ask. They can't read minds ;-) Okay, I can confirm the lack of leisure activities, but it's not really necessary because of the proximity to the... spa, where there are lots of things to do. To be honest, I don't always need such a noisy place where you have the feeling that you've been beamed to the Ballermann without being noticed. Okay, the small grocery store would be an idea, but I think the reason it doesn't exist is that there are mainly permanent campers on the site who have organized themselves in the meantime. And they don't usually need a packet of cheese for €4 or tinned ravioli. It's also quite close to the village, where Feinkost Albrecht and Co. provide plenty of food. The clientele seems to be generally mixed, but tends to be middle-aged to older. So good manners seem to be more of a door opener here than a horde of people falling over the property. The proximity to the main road is not really a noise problem, the traffic is very limited. The sanitary facilities also make a very well-kept impression on me, there's nothing to complain about. And the lack of shelves in the shower cubicles is surely only missed by those who think they have to get completely undressed and dressed in them, which in my opinion is a clear sign of a lack of social competence. There is a bench in the anteroom for this purpose, and bathrobes are also provided. You don't have to be dressed up like a frigate to take a shower. Let's be honest, who hasn't experienced it: you're standing in front of the shower cubicles in the morning with your patience stretched to the limit, while in the left-hand compartment, dad is busily ringing the four children, in the middle, granny is squeezing into her corset (she's almost got it on, only ten minutes to go...) and on the right, mom is just putting on her second layer of clothes. Just a quick updo and some make-up, then one or two doors could slowly open. It's a good thing there are no shelves in there. Currently on the square: a car drives past every half hour or so. But it's probably because of a detour due to construction work on a main road to Uelzen that there's even a car driving past at this time of night (it's midnight).

Nice, quiet place with friendly operators
We stayed from June 15 to June 18, 2017 with our caravan on the site, it is located right next to the Elbe side canal only separated by a main road. The reception was very friendly and we were accompanied directly to our pitch. There are no parceled pitches for tourists, you stand on a large meadow near... the entrance, but that didn't bother us as we were almost alone there. (However, if large groups with tents were to come here, I don't think it would be so much fun) All the other pitches are occupied by permanent campers, but they were all very friendly here. The sanitary facilities are no longer the most modern, but they are super clean. Unfortunately, there are no storage facilities for clothes in the showers, although they would be big enough. As on many campsites, some of the hooks were missing (or broken) for hanging up clothes etc. The town of Bad Bodenteich can be reached quickly by bike. The heath also begins behind the campsite, where you can take very nice walks. We will definitely be back next year.

Unfriendly reception
Really unfriendly reception no nice people and poorly developed infrastructure no internet via W-Lan also poor cell phone reception per Telekom Vodafone etc.. NOT worth a recommendation!

Ideal for cyclists and mushroom hunters
We were there for 3 days in the summer with our caravan and dog, you can go for a good walk, but if you want to eat coffee and cake you have to drive further. Because on the place there was only ice cream to buy and nothing else. We received a friendly welcome. The campers were all nice and helpful.

This is our second visit and we will be back, if you want a quiet weekend this is the place for you, but you can reach the shops by bike within 10 minutes.
