I didn't know this part of the Var—it's beautiful. The river pool was really nice, and so were the restaurant and the staff.

We were right by the road, really, really close to the traffic, to people talking early in the morning and late at night, and to the guy who was taking the trash from point A to point B very early in the morning and making a hell of a racket as he went by—which was a real shame for a small campground like that one.

There could be a few more hedges to separate the sites; our mobile home was run-down. Despite that, we managed to adapt and settle in. It would be a plus to have some small trash cans on the campground, along with a dog-poop bag dispenser...

Good location, interesting family activities, pleasant setting, clean and enjoyable pool, friendly entertainment staff—but for a 4-star campground, there are few or not enough activities for teens.

A pleasant campground in a great location, just a 10-minute walk from downtown Agay and the beach. It's perfect. Nice pool. Friendly staff.

Near the ocean

It took us an hour after arriving to find a spot, even though we had made a reservation and provided the campground’s dimensions. We had to go check the sites directly with our friends because we weren’t sure if we’d be able to fit. The restrooms were dirty. They hadn’t been cleaned. There was a lot of grime in the shower drains. Sinks intended for washing dishes were installed in place of three showers—one of which didn’t work because it had no faucet, and the other two weren’t connected. Water pooling in the shower drains. We ended up with water up to our ankles while washing dishes. No place to do laundry. All of this in the second section of the campground.

I was disappointed by the quality of this holiday park—it definitely wasn't a 4-star resort. We stayed at several campgrounds during our two-week motorcycle trip around France (from north to south and back), and this one was by far the worst. The only positive was the swimming pool, but even that came with the silly rule of “no swim shorts allowed.” The most disappointing issues: our campsite wasn’t flat at all, making it very difficult to find a spot for our two-person tent; the restrooms were dirty and not all of them worked; there was no toilet paper; and the air conditioning units near our campsite were noisy. Disappointing.

I didn’t think the 4-star rating was deserved because the mobile homes are run-down, and there aren’t many facilities at the campground that allow kids to do anything other than go to the pool. Everything is outdated… I’m disappointed because I’m comparing it to other 4-star campsites I’ve stayed at, which were much better.

The cleanliness of the restrooms was very poor. No hot water for campers to wash dishes. People were not following the dress code at the pool.

The two highlights of the trip were the friendliness of the entertainment staff and the pool, which was suitable for children.

The mobile home is run-down and poorly maintained; the cleaning was slapdash, the doors were dirty, and the sofa was old and stained. Outside, there’s hardly any greenery, and the mobile homes are crammed right up against each other. Disappointing! Thank goodness I booked through my employee committee… very poor value for the money!

Nice little family campground, great pool with a lazy river and awesome water slides—but the mobile home was very old, and the shelves in the fridge were held in place with screws. No storage space like shelves in the bathroom or living room to put our things, and no coat hooks. For a 4-star campground and the price of the stay, I find this a bit excessive. On the other hand, being able to access the ocean by canoe is a real plus. The mini-market is extremely expensive.

We had a pleasant stay, but the mobile homes are getting old, and there was a hot water issue when we arrived. There wasn't enough entertainment for teens—the activities were very much geared toward younger children. It's a 4-star campground, but we expected better amenities.

Comfort of the mobile homes. The plastic mattress pads were hard to tolerate in hot weather. The cleaning was very superficial—there was a lot of dust. The mobile home was cleaner when we checked out than when we arrived. 85 euros for cleaning is expensive for a campground.

A nice town with beautiful, unspoiled coves, but you'll want to skip this campground...
