The charm of the Charente is the authentic French life amid the exquisite and unspoilt nature with the luxury of wide open spaces stretching for as far as the eye can see. Our scenic and tranquil domain straddles on the … border of the Charente and the Dordogne, a small part of France where you can unwind and leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind you. Le Chambon is an intimate, family-friendly and easy-going campsite; furthermore it has a somewhat infectious atmosphere. With its mild climate, wide open spaces, numerous outdoor activities and last, but not least, its well-known mouth-watering regional specialities, Le Chambon is a must for your holiday! Our domain lies in the scenic French countryside, amidst unspoilt nature and between meadows and forests. The tranquil river “La Tardoire” forms a meander around the campsite – and is a true paradise for nature lovers. Despite its 28 ha, there is a real sense of intimacy on the camping. The spacious grass pitches gives one the feeling of freedom. For the children: Since the layout of the campsite is so spacious, the kids have the feeling that the camping is one ginormous playground, where they can frolic and play to their hearts delight all day long. And for you: A vacation where you can reload your batteries and unwind completely, but at the same time be active by taking part in one of the many activities that Le Gorges de Chambon has to offer. And….. because the kids are happy, are kept busy and having the time of their lives, you can relax and unwind even more. The comfortable facilities on the campsite will guarantee that you and your family can enjoy a relaxing holiday that will be talked about for years to come.
