The site is on the edge of the town, near a lake (not a bathing lake). The quiet site has two large, clean wash houses. We were greeted warmly at the registration desk and asked if we would like bread rolls for the next morning.... The site is ideally located for excursions by bike or car to Bremerhaven (Klimahaus, Auswandererhaus), Cuxhaven or Otterndorf. The nearby lake is ideal for a walk. There is a restaurant on site and several more within walking distance in the village. Fresh smoked fish is available next to the campsite. There is a Camping Berger in the village for anyone lacking equipment.
