A beautiful, new campsite. Very nice surroundings - even the restaurant! Friendly staff. Unfortunately few sanitary facilities. And no pastry service or store.

Falkensteiner Premium Camping Lake Blaguš
We had a wonderful experience staying at Falkensteiner Premium Camping Lake Blaguš with our camper. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by incredibly friendly and welcoming reception staff who made check-in easy and gave us great tips about the area. Their warm hospitality really set the tone... for our stay.

The camper pitches are spacious, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. The whole site is clean and well-organized, with modern, spotless sanitary facilities that made our stay really comfortable.

We loved the lake access for swimming and relaxing, and enjoyed the calm, respectful atmosphere throughout the campsite. The on-site amenities, like the forest sauna and local food offerings, were a nice bonus. It’s also very pet-friendly, which made traveling with our dog stress-free.

This place is perfect for anyone traveling by camper who wants a mix of nature, comfort, and kind-hearted service. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

The shooting sounds during the day Missing some critical utensils for cooking in the tiny homes. (cooking spoon, a bigger pan for cooking) The main room in the tiny homes needs a blackout curtain also. No playground for kids I had to ask for breakfast buffet refills I had to ask for public bathroom areas to have the toilet paper and hand towels to be refilled.
New Falkensteiner Opening
We visited on one of the first weekends of the camp being opened. The location is very secluded, the facilities are nicely and newly fitted, and the area is very spacious with lots of room to spread out. The lake is very calm and perfect for canoeing, paddle boarding, or simply just floating around....

However, there were several things that I think they can improved based on this location being a new opening. In the future I would love to see a kids playground added. My kids would have really like that as they got bored staying for 3 days. The kitchen in our tiny home was missing a couple of critical items for preparing a meal like a regular mixing spoon (only a ladle and pasta fork were provided) and perhaps a second frying pan, or just a larger size. The rest of the cookware were only pots.

The tiny home overall was very nicely fitted but I do recommend adding a blackout curtain for privacy and sun on the main window. There is only 1 airconditioning unit in the main living area, which means you must keep the bedroom doors open at night. When the sun rises, the bedrooms are no longer dark.

I would have also liked to see the staff checking on the amenities a bit more often. Every morning we had to ask for something on the breakfast buffet to be refilled. We also had to ask that the toilet paper and hand towels be refilled in the public bathroom area by the restaurant.

My main issue with this location is that there is an apparent gun range in the direct vicinity of the campground. For 3 days we heard gunshots all day, consistently, during business hours. This definitely took away from the relaxing ambience.

We were on our way to Split with our caravan and didn't want to drive all the way through. That's when we came across this site, which is only 20 minutes from Maribor. According to the staff, the sanitary facilities had only recently been completed. Extremely high quality! We had great trips with our... e-bikes, some of the routes are well described on Komot. The lake is great for walking and swimming in summer. It was a bit too cold for us. We would love to come back.

The location of this small campsite is truly unique. It is beautifully nestled in the countryside and around the lake. The team is very attentive and helpful. The sanitary building is very good and brand new. I think it was only completed in April. You can use SUPs and boats on the lake. You can also hire e-bikes.

The area around the lake is not as touristy as the coast, for example, but you can experience nature.
May weekend at Lake Blagus
We were there with our motorhome a week after the official opening and there was a lot going on around the holiday.

Both campers and people from the towns around the lake were there.

We rode our bikes around the region and visited local winegrowers.

There is also a restaurant on site that offers breakfast. We didn't try this as we had our own food with us.
