We had a pleasant stay in a converted Canadian tent with our 18-month-old son. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The environment is calm, the campsite is clean and well-maintained, as are the sanitary facilities.
We'd definitely recommend it!

small quiet place
The "Le Voconce" campsite is located directly on the River Ouvèze. There is a steep access road to the site. The pitches are separated from each other by high hedges and trees. This means there is plenty of shade. A sanitary building is centrally located in the middle of the site. This was newly built... in 2019. There is a large pool, a bar as well as magazines and baguettes. The site management and staff are very friendly and we would love to come back.

Our alternative site when Theatre Romain is fully booked - this is the second time we've been here and always for a few days. If you don't mind the old school sanitary facilities and are prepared to put up with cold shower water, you'll find pure nature camping with lots of space and peace, rare fauna,... a short cycle path to Vaison and a pub/bar that is also well frequented by locals. The site operators are super friendly and the prices are reasonable. We like this campsite because it doesn't have any entertainment, but still offers camping in its original, non-luxurious form.

the very old and unkempt sanitary facilities
This area deserves a better campsite.
The view of Mt Ventoux is breathtaking. The site is ideally located by the river and a short distance from Vaison La Romaine. In mid-May there was no hot water for showers (groundsman said: "the solar system still needs to be installed"). The rest of the sanitary facilities were very old, some of the... floors were tiled or where the tiles were broken they were filled in with concrete. The wash house with the toilets and showers is from the 1960s and has not been renovated since then. We left the site after one night and found a better one.

Nice site with sufficiently large pitches, always in partial shade due to very high hedges and some trees; direct access to the river Ouveze; friendly reception; small restaurant and baguette service; good starting point for visiting the sights in Vaison-la-Romaine; Mont Ventoux within sight;
