Beautiful place right on the lake
Wonderful place directly on Lake Idro. Quiet, shady pitches. Pitch and sanitary facilities very clean. Very nice operator.

Simply good
We actually only wanted to stay for 3 days and then it turned into 11. We would have stayed longer, but we had to vacate the pitch because it was booked for someone else. The site is simply wonderful and if you need peace and quiet and water, this is the place for you. The area is not parceled out and... you can generally stand wherever and however you want, except for the front row right by the water, which is apparently often booked. But it doesn't really matter where you stand, the lake is just a few steps away. The shore is narrow and rocky, so bathing shoes are not absolutely necessary. There is a small strip of grass in front of it. A note for water sports enthusiasts: the wind usually comes from the southwest from midday, which means that the beach is upwind (the two campsites behind it, Pineta and Azur, are downwind). Nevertheless, I was able to paddle around the entire southern lake with my iSUP (stand-up paddleboard). The wash house was always very clean. There is a small store and a snack bar/restaurant, but no pizza on offer. However, you can order it and it will be delivered in the evening. But if you like pizza, I can recommend the DaGenny restaurant, just behind the square. They do a great job there, even at lunchtime until around 3 pm and by asporto, to take away! The village in front, Crone, is about 2 km away and easy to reach on foot. There is (almost) everything in the small supermarket Jollymarket, right behind it a fruit and vegetable store and about 100 meters in front of it a bakery that sells black bread, which is just a delicious dark mixed bread. All in all, a great and quiet place. However, if you are traveling with children or teenagers, you are probably better off at one of the other two campsites because of the entertainment and the sports equipment rental.

Camping Belvedere on Lake Idro in August 2015
We actually wanted to go on vacation to the Baltic Sea, but then a hurricane drove us first to Lake Titisee and then further south. By chance, we decided to go to Lake Idro. A good decision. Despite the high season, we were immediately allocated a pitch at the Belverde campsite by the extremely friendly... site manager. We had a choice of three pitches and opted for a cozy spot under slightly shady trees. The sanitary facilities and the pool were always very clean. Overall, you would have to think and search very hard to find anything negative about this campsite. Particularly worth mentioning is the warm friendliness of the operator, who clearly cares about his guests. We can only warmly recommend this place!

Unfortunately we were here in thunder and lightning hail so it didn't make a good impression, but it is very well located in relation to the lake. On the other hand, there is a lot of noise from the large playground, a la Bon Bon land. A lovely restaurant with a view of everything, not enough stars here. We also went for short walks with the dog. Not a place we would prefer a second time.
