The team at the campsite is very friendly, helpful and always in a good mood. The sanitary facilities are not only clean, but also lovingly decorated. There is a bread roll service, you just have to order and pay at reception.
Minusuri
Unfortunately no WLAN
Small and quiet campsite with very friendly staff
The booking in advance went quickly. We received confirmation within a short time.

On arrival, everything was explained to us straight away and we were able to set up in peace. We then registered and ordered bread rolls for our stay.

As we arrived in a group with several vehicles, we were given a special... rate for electricity for the weekend. 4 a day, a fair price considering that the fan heater was running non-stop from late afternoon.

The sanitary facilities were always clean and well-maintained, and everything was also very lovingly decorated.

The service team and the owners were very friendly, sympathetic and helpful.

The only downside is the lack of WiFi. Depending on the mobile operator, the network in the area is unfortunately quite poor, so Wi-Fi would be desirable.

Located directly on the Wupper. Friendly operators. Very clean sanitary facilities.
Minusuri
Entrance a little narrow.
Small, bustling and cozy campsite
A small, cozy campsite located directly on the Wupper.
This is just the right place to relax and switch off from everyday life.
There are woods all around that invite you to go for a walk and unwind.
The operators are very friendly, very nice and helpful.
The permanent campers are also friendly and helpful....
The sanitary facilities are clean and the showers can be locked.
A little dated, but that doesn't detract from the cleanliness.
The mini golf course is directly opposite and there is a beer garden on the site itself.
A nice place where you can relax and unwind

Quiet very nice campsite
We were on a short visit with our children, traveling by caravan. This site is very close to where the children live, but unfortunately everything was full at the time. It was all the more pleasing when the owner called us back to say that someone had canceled and we could come after all. We would like... to thank her once again, especially as she only had a cell phone number because I only asked by phone. We often travel by caravan and have visited many campsites but rarely have we experienced such nice service. The site is very well maintained and very idyllically situated on the banks of the Wupper, the adjacent road hardly disturbed us, especially as there was hardly any traffic in the evening. It was a very nice stay and definitely not the last time for us.

Easy to reach! Very well maintained Sanitary very clean!
Minusuri
Partial road noise
Well-kept place in the countryside
To get away from home for a few days during the Corona period, we chose this site near us.
The site is dominated by permanent campers and as a tourist you don't have the chance to stand directly on the Wupper, but the site is still very well maintained and easy to reach. Unfortunately, good accessibility... also means that there is a road nearby, which is not always without noise.
The operators are very friendly and make an effort to look after their guests. The tourist campers stand together at the entrance to the site on grass pavers and gravel. However, it is no problem to pitch an awning.
Although the sanitary facilities are getting on in years, they are well maintained and always very clean!!!
The Campingklause offers good food at good prices! The schnitzel is particularly recommended.
Unfortunately, the mini-market including bread roll service is only available at weekends. The nearest supermarket in Witzhelden is about 2 km away (uphill!)
There is a lot to see and do in the surrounding area. However, the signposted cycle paths were a challenge for our folding bikes. Mountain bikes are recommended. However, there are endless paths of varying quality through the countryside.
This place is highly recommended for a short vacation.

Great C-place
Very beautifully situated site on the Wupper and forest. We were there in October. Gastronomy only open on weekends. Bread roll service also only on WE. WLAN 0 can be booked via Telekom. Shopping facilities in about 3 km. ACSI-Card was not accepted although it is offered in the catalog and is declared at the entrance. Pitch is ok and very straight. No access to the Wupper, as only fixed pitches. Electricity flat rate !!!

Electricity costs are too high.
Electricity costs
The operators are friendly and very helpful. Our pitch was big enough. Only the electricity costs for an overnight stay of €5.50 (flat rate €3.50 and connection €2.00) are extremely high in my opinion. We paid €27.50 for a camper van with two people and a dog. That is too much.

Nature and proximity to the river
Minusuri
noisy directly on the thoroughfare and therefore quite expensive
Nice but expensive
The site is located directly on the Wupper, but unfortunately there is no access due to permanent campers on the river. 21€ for a motorhome with 1 person directly on the through road to Solingen is simply too much. Otherwise a nice place with nice people that is a little outdated. Wifi also costs extra.

A paradise for over 20 years!
I came back here over 20 years later and although there was a change of operator at some point in the time, the friendliness and helpfulness has remained very well, thank you for that! An absolute paradise in a quiet location, clean sanitary facilities, highly recommended!

Good ground for campers, right next to the hiking area, large playground
Minusuri
no bread service only on Sat. and Sun. narrow access for caravans
ideal for people with a tent, again immediately
Good ground, important for people who camp. Would camp there again, friendly staff. Lots of wooden benches and tables at the reception. Next store in 3km, a large EDE, sanitary facilities not the youngest, but clean. Unfortunately no view of the Wupper from the pitch. Very nice view of the Wupper at the Balkhauser Kotten (old grinding shop) with meadow. Mini golf opposite. Easy to find. Beautiful hiking trails directly in front of the site.

Close to nature: Wupper, Bergisches Land. Solingen not far away.
Minusuri
Small plots, narrow access, even the access road is narrow and steep.
Small square on the Wupper.
Small site with small pitches. Access to the plots is also very narrow. This is made worse by the fact that the garden of the restaurant further restricts access. But apparently nobody is bothered. The sanitary facilities are not the youngest, but they are always clean. You can start hiking just across... the road and find beautiful paths through the Bergisches Land. Bread roll service available, but not at weekends. Only a few kilometers to Solingen. That's why we were there, to visit friends. Not because of the reserved friendliness of the site warden, who assigned us the narrow access road to the pitch in the middle of the site with our caravan, although the front would have been free and much easier for us. Overall, the site, which is characterized by permanent campers, is okay, but we wouldn't stay there for more than 2 nights.

Nature all around is fantastic
Minusuri
Cramped, little space per man, unfriendly hosts, the "Wupper" is totally littered with stones and tires (yet there are probably fish in it)
never reachable, seemingly dead campsite
I was lured by the offer on the website that there was Internet. There is, but it costs 4.95 per day. The phone is ringing off the hook in reception, I'm standing in front of it because I only have reception here, but the lady is in her house opposite. It is written: If no one is there, please ring opposite.... There's never anyone there, not all day and not yesterday either. Theoretically everything is there; food, a small supermarket and a restaurant opposite. But one thing must be clear: The place is for very, very old people who want it quiet. The operators don't go out of their way to be friendly, as I noticed when I was checking in. It doesn't matter to them, the main thing is that the cash register is right. Too bad

... we'll be back ....
A beautiful campsite located in the Wupper valley. Due to its location, the site offers many opportunities to explore the Bergisches Land (the name does not come from the mountainous landscape, by the way) - be it with long walks and hikes that can start just a few steps outside the site or a mountain... bike tour through the surrounding area. You don't have to miss out on anything here, even on a quiet day at the site - children's playground, small restaurant with beer garden, "corner store", bread roll service, .... and mini-golf are opposite. If you are looking for a day trip, the surrounding area offers many excursion possibilities: Castle Burg | Fauna (small zoo in Solingen) Klingenmuseum | Old Town Gräfrath | Nature reserve Ohligser Heide and, and, and in Solingen; zoo and suspension railroad in Wuppertal, Müngsten Bridge, Sengbachtalsperre and much more. Of course, all the information is available on site. We were particularly impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the Liedgens family - the owners of this fine site - and the very helpful community there, where no distinction is made between short-term and permanent campers. We immediately felt very at home and are already threatening our next visit :-)....

Incredibly well located pitch. Just a few steps and you're in the forest. Very friendly staff. It almost goes without saying that there are a lot of permanent campers on the site.
