Online space
The reception at the barrier is only open in high season with the note that you should book online! That went well, but we had no information that you have to consciously choose the areas of the site! Nevertheless, we found a good pitch! The site was very quiet and well maintained. The sanitary facilities... were also good and clean. Supply and disposal (water / gray water) we found only at the beginning of the place (very far away) Since everything was done online, we had no contact with the staff. At the campsite you could take a nice walk to the small islands.

+ Good access + Close to the archipelago + Large, level parking space

- Registration was complicated - Sanitary clean, but getting on in years and with full occupancy of the CP certainly too small
Västervik - close to the archipelago
We wanted to make a detour to the archipelago and visit Västervik, a town with lots of shopping opportunities.
The site is ideally located for this, but we didn't take advantage of the wealth of activities on offer as we were only there for one day.
Adjacent to the campsite are three small islands in... the archipelago, which are easily accessible via specially constructed footbridges.
We had chosen a pitch near a sanitary facility.
These were somewhat older, but absolutely clean and well maintained, and there was also a small kitchen and a lounge in this building. Access is by code.
The pitches are level and ours was big enough.
When the campsite is full, it certainly gets cramped, we spoke to permanent campers who complained about the noise in high season and the lack of capacity in the sanitary facilities.
You can cycle to the port and the town center, but there is a small "climb" at the exit.
Disposal and fresh water very easy at the exit.
The pitch was ideal for us.

the place offers everything you need on site! Washing machine, kitchen, shower, electricity is included! Sanitary facilities not the most modern but clean and well maintained! Direct access to the beautiful beaches. plenty of leisure activities for young and old with lots of choice. The staff are friendly and helpful. We were there with our 3 girls and can highly recommend this place. Despite its size, the mass of campers gets along well. If you want to be in the middle of it all and close to the action, book something in Marielund. If you want to be very quiet, book in Dungen. many are almost exclusively occupied by permanent campers! lullen and Kapelle are quieter areas but are located in the pine forest and are very shady.
Minusuri
most of the areas are very narrow, the plots are mostly close together. the site is quite noisy in the season, during our visit there was a motorcycle club festival on the site! the rock music could be heard well into the archipelago! fortunately it suited our taste and didn't bother us.
Top place
We felt very comfortable here and will probably come back again next year.

Unique, fantastic terrain with lots of water and impressive nature, quiet and busier pitches.
Minusuri
The swimming pool has seen better days, the changing rooms are cramped and not clean.
Exceptional place in the middle of nature
We had some very nice days on this exceptional site. We were on a comfort pitch and there was so much to discover! The offshore islands, which can be reached via bridges, were a highlight. The sanitary facilities were always clean, washing machines were free and the supermarket was well stocked. The... site is huge, but the people are spread out. You never get the impression of being on an 800-pitch site, we were glad we had scooters and bikes with us.

Pitches directly near the water possible with electricity connection well-kept sanitary facilities Washing machine and dryer included
Minusuri
Very large pitch in high season (July/August) certainly too many campers for the existing sanitary facilities in the low season/off-season no/ hardly any tourist offers (swimming pool closed, no kayak rental, no ferry/ boats to Gotland or the islands)
Very nice pitches right on the water, nothing going on in the off-season
We were on this pitch from 21.08.-03.09.2021. We came at the end of the main season. Our pitch was on the Kapell part of the site, right next to the small offshore islands. We had a pitch with electricity. The paths to water and waste water are a little further, but we knew this and chose it explicitly....
The map of the area on the resort's website helps when booking. There you can also find all the features of the respective pitches.
The sanitary facilities were cleaned regularly and properly.
The free use of the dishwasher and the washing machines and dryers are positive and very helpful. For the latter two you "only" have to sign in a book. In the high season, it is certainly difficult to find a time to wash, as the site has countless pitches and is Sweden's largest campsite.
There was nothing going on during our travel period. The entertainment program and the indoor pool were also closed in the last week of August. There is not much to see from a tourist point of view
in the area apart from a lot of nature, an incredible amount of nature.
The ferry to Gotland is also closed at the end of the Swedish vacations. From the Gränsö Canal, you can then only travel to the islands 3 times a week on the small postal boat for 1.5 hours - without stopping.
For cyclists, Västervik offers super wide and extensive cycle paths, mostly asphalted. If you want to go mountain biking through the woods, there are also plenty of trails. The Swedish app Naturkartan is helpful for excursions.
The waters around the campsite are very suitable for kayaking/SUP. In any case, we saw lots of people who had brought their own boats. We couldn't borrow any more, as the season was over here too. Too bad, BUT we hadn't had so much peace and relaxation on vacation for a very long time! The off-season is really worth it.

Beautiful location
Just in the lively town of Västervik and only a stone's throw away, you find yourself on a beautiful campsite in a beautiful natural setting. From many of the tourist pitches you can see the water and the archipelago islands off the coast, some of which can be reached via footbridges. Several sanitary... buildings, the one we used was not always clean, although it was still low season, and tradesmen would have had work to do, e.g. with door handles/lighting. The campsite is large, depending on the pitch you can incorporate getting bread rolls or going to reception into your fitness program. There is a lot on offer, playgrounds. Adventure pool, several restaurants, sports fields etc., I don't want to list everything here, see the campsite website. Ideal for families with children of all ages, boaters and anglers.

The campsite is huge, we didn't have a reservation and therefore had a pitch without electricity (Block E). This was actually an advantage, as we were able to find a pitch ourselves. We found the parceled-out pitches very cramped in places. There is a nice little sandy beach for swimming and you can... get to the town quickly by bike. The sanitary facilities were okay and plentiful, the staff professional. Overall, a campsite for shorter and longer stays.

No attractions, events, store, kiosk or similar out of season. So no ice cream or sandwiches either
A great place out of season
First of all, we used this campsite almost exclusively for overnight stays in our own caravan and for personal hygiene. There are no events, attractions or restaurants on the huge campsite out of season. This is also the biggest drawback of the site. The reception staff were very friendly. Despite our... reservation, we only found out on site that we had been rebooked. That was a shock at first because we wanted to stand by the water, but we were allowed to choose a free pitch and no. 404 was even better than the reserved pitch. Otherwise the check-in was more than uncomplicated. The site was only about 40% full. We were able to spread out a bit, but the pitches are otherwise rather small. ( 80-90m² ) The showers were without coin system incl.. Our sanitary building ( Kapella ) was clean and very well equipped. However, we also looked at other buildings on the site and there were also some unsightly ones. As described at the beginning, there are stores but they are all closed. So unfortunately you have to get your ice cream or sandwiches in town. Only the swimming pool is open and the bathing areas can be used. We wouldn't want to visit this campsite during the season, when it's probably really busy. The big advantage is the location. We were right by the bridge on the Scheren and every vacationer should take a look around. The landscape is amazing. We'll be back in the off-season if we get the chance.

Unfortunately, everything was already closed in the low season
We were there in September in the low season. Unfortunately, everything was already closed at that time. Restaurants, supermarkets, sauna, indoor pool, everything was already closed from the beginning of September. In the high season, when everything is in operation, it's probably just a fantastic place.

Lack of repairs to the WC facilities. WC/showers in the same area as the kitchen, without proper partitioning (noises and smells...)
Simply great out of season
The site was not full out of season. The location on the archipelago is really great! You can walk and climb from one island to the next over small bridges. Simply fantastic. The sanitary facilities could be in better shape. Doors were jammed everywhere and the other guests left the rooms totally filthy in places. Washing machines and dryers were surprisingly free of charge. We stayed an extra night.

All expectations fulfilled
We only stayed at this campsite for three nights and were totally thrilled. This place has something for everyone. Whether you're looking for hustle and bustle and activity or just peace and quiet in the archipelago...there's something for everyone. The service houses in particular have everything you could wish for, including a dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, oven, microwave etc. and cozy lounges. Highly recommended.

I can't think of any...
Beautiful place, has a lot to offer and is still quiet
Unfortunately, we had the bad luck that it rained for two days in summer 2017 when we were here. But that wasn't too bad, we went to the great fun pool with slide and our children (10/7) loved it. We were also able to explore the large bouncy castle in the pouring rain. We particularly remember the tour... of the offshore archipelago islands, which can be reached from the mainland via bridges. A very nice walk! I would particularly like to highlight the well-equipped, cozy lounges with kitchenette, especially in view of the wet weather. And what was also great: washing machine and dryer were sufficiently available and FREE - a real rarity!!! You just have to register (in good time) on the list of users (2 washes per day per family).

It's loud. Very loud.
Very huge and very loud campsite
If you are ok with many people making party and being loud till after midnight it's a place for you. Unfortunately with a baby it's everything else but perfect. Young people are very ruthless in the evenings, they are running screaming right next to the caravans and no one cares. We already regret that we came here for our last days in Sweden but as you have to pay all in advance we have to stay here if we don't want to lose money.

August 2016
We visited the campsite in mid-August with two small children. It is a very large, well-organized campsite that is divided into several areas due to its infrastructure. Due to the boundaries of forest, rocks and water, you don't really notice the size of the campsite until you take a walk and realize... how huge it is. Unfortunately, we realized that the campsite went into hibernation very quickly after 15 August. The restaurant was closed, leisure activities were no longer offered and various activities could no longer be booked. The sanitary facilities, lounges and kitchens were always in a clean and inviting condition. The close location of the campsite to the city makes it possible to do things without a car, many supermarkets, specialty stores, beautiful small city center, hospital, ferry, etc.

Not recommended during Swedish vacations.
Nice big place, but not during the Swedish summer vacation
The site offers everything a camper's heart desires. The sanitary facilities are clean and there are plenty of them. This is our second time on the site. The first time (early June) we were delighted. Then in July we were very disappointed. An hour's wait at the reception. The campsite was overcrowded.... We felt like we were at a funfair, no sign of peace and quiet. The caravans and mobile homes were parked close together on the access roads. Some caravans still had to be maneuvered so that free spaces could be filled. Conclusion: a mess and chaotic conditions, dissatisfied guests and annoyed staff. Never again on this campsite during the Swedish summer vacation.

Not quite as reasonably priced, almost all attractions closed in May, confusing layout
Beautiful, but in May many things are still closed ...
The site is divided into different areas and is very large overall. In May, almost all the activities and restaurants on the site were still closed and the indoor pool was only open at weekends. On the other hand, it was very quiet and we had the washrooms and recreation rooms almost to ourselves. The... sanitary facilities in our area were fairly new and very clean. The playground in the Marielund area is also very nice. The nearest supermarket is about 10 minutes away by bike and the center of Västervik about 20 minutes.

Expensive, but beautiful
Tip: We were there in 2015. The main season ended on August 15, and the next day the site was only half as expensive. We arrived by chance on the 15th and spent another night on a nearby pitch. The site is much less crowded out of season and you can enjoy it more. Great connection via footbridges from islet to islet. It certainly wasn't the last time we were there.
