The campsite is also ideal for dog owners, as there are plenty of opportunities for relaxed walks. After a week, it was determined that the vehicle could no longer be repaired economically - we had to buy a new vehicle, which took more time. We informed the originally booked campsite immediately, but unfortunately we were charged the full cancellation fee - regardless of the exceptional circumstances. For us, this was disappointing and not customer-friendly. Place in Styria on the way with the cell phone this place booked. Unfortunately I did this for 1 week. You had to pay 70€ immediately. In fact, the small print says that the pitch fee (and only that!) will be charged if you leave early.
Now, on the first day... of my vacation at the campsite, I received a long-awaited medical appointment by email and went straight to reception to ask to be allowed to leave three days earlier. The boss's snotty (by the way, that was the lady on arrival) answer was the same: but you have to pay the pitch fee! Zero concession, zero understanding. Pure unfriendliness.
On departure, a man took over the processing. The camping guest who was ahead of me was obligingly charged for his increased electricity consumption at the purchase price, i.e. half the price. But he also spoke Bavarian dialect. On the other hand, I was told that I would be charged for the pitch without personal and other fees for the 3 nights I didn't use it. This was simply a lie, as a glance at the cancellation conditions confirmed. Zero concession!
The water was turned off for a day and the bistro was closed for the whole week. It was still open on the day of arrival. There were menus available, which weren't plentiful anyway. We made our choice, only to be told that there was only a limited selection... Camping guests just have to accept that.

It is a pity that you felt this way about your stay with us. As your comments paint a rather distorted picture, we would like to correct a few points for future readers:
- Your statements on the subject of electricity and "accommodation" simply do not correspond to the facts - no special... conditions for compatriots or other preferential treatment were granted. We firmly reject your suggestion that guests from certain federal states are given preferential treatment. Such an insinuation is not only false, but also an unfair and discriminatory assertion that we do not accept in any form. All our guests are treated equally, of course - but the tone often makes the music, as the saying goes. (Incidentally, the guest spoke Stuttgart dialect - not much to do with Bavaria)
- Contrary to your description, we waived all personal and ancillary costs for your early departure. According to the booking conditions, you would have had to pay the full price of your stay - so we deliberately acted in an accommodating manner and only charged you for the parking space.
- The signs you displayed referred to a necessary repair after a water connection was damaged. Unfortunately, this cannot be repaired while the water is running.
We value fair dealings with one another - both in direct discussions and afterwards. Unfortunately, this was not possible in your case, which should be clear to every reader here due to the lack of truthfulness of your comments (especially if you use your Google review for comparison). Above all, your review shows that you were dissatisfied from the outset and had a consistently negative view of your stay.

Jan B.August 2025PlusuriSmall and manageable, clean and well-kept, you have your peace, the swimming pond also has something for itself, nice neighbors, quiet area for recreation, the road virtually on the doorstep but you actually hear relatively little to nothing of it thanks to the hedges. The barrel itself has everything you need except for a food processor and maybe a sharp knife or bread knife. Fridge, microwave, kettle, plates, cups, cutlery are all thereMinusuriWe had problems with the WLAN, outages, being kicked out, long waits until it had loaded, supposedly it was due to the cell phone, which may be the case. You could have saved the money and used mobile data in my opinion, but it could really have been the cell phone. You have to press more often in the shower because of the water, runs for 10 seconds, as a man no problem but for women maybe a bit annoying as I was told. I understand and support the scarcity of water and saving it. When the sun shines on it, it is relatively warm inside and difficult to ventilate. The heating doesn't necessarily work in colder weather either. But wonderful for a little break. Very nice reception, booking was uncomplicated and the terraced arrangement of the pitches is great. It's quiet and the sanitary facilities are very clean. We did a great bike tour in Pfaffenwinkl... and then went for a swim in the fantastic natural pond. Great starting point for all kinds of cycling activities from easy to difficult. The pitch is quite sloping, so you should definitely bring a wedge.Very satisfiedThe pitches are arranged in terraces. We had grass and stones on the pitch. The bathing lake is a great natural lake with all kinds of animals, from fish and tadpoles to dragonflies and swallows, which cool off in the lake in a dive and then take off again straight away. The lake is also great for swimming.... Personally, I also think the idea of setting up deckchairs is a great idea. Perfect for relaxing after a bike ride, for example. The playground and the snack area are also great for children. The sanitary facilities were always clean. The restaurant is also commendable. The menu is not extensive, but totally delicious. Whether it was the pizza or one of the other dishes, we ate very well there for a reasonable price. We also have nothing but positive things to say about the owner couple. Really beautiful in the foothills of the Alps, the Pfaffenwinkel, Schongau, Peiting and Rottenbuch are well worth seeing. Definitely also the churches in these places, not forgetting the pilgrimage church on the Hohenpeißenberg. The... main road next to the campsite cannot be denied, we were on the first upper terrace and didn't find it very annoying. The traffic decreases significantly at night anyway. The sanitary facilities in the basement as we found them gave no cause for complaint, always clean and looking renovated, no more coin-operated machines. In the heat, the swimming pond was a welcome change for young and old, we enjoyed it. WLAN is chargeable, affordable and super fast on the pitches. We found some of the boss's assessments in the reviews a little irritating. It's not everyone's cup of tea to walk around all day with a smile on their face, and admittedly Christof E. is not one of them. We never experienced him as grumpy or unfriendly. He had an open ear for everything from the first to the last hour, whether it was about parking on the pitch, excursion destinations or anything else. I would particularly like to mention the help he and his wife offered immediately when I needed emergency dental care on a public holiday. The first question I was asked every time I contacted him over the next few days was "how are you today". I can't think of anything negative. Site was very nice. Especially the large swimming pond. Price in the low season very attractive due to ACSI. The campsite is on the main road, but there was very little traffic and it didn't bother us. Bread roll service was cheap and great.
