The site is conveniently located on the Dumfries - Castle Douglas road, you can hardly hear the main road, but a lorry drives along a side road right next to the site every few minutes in the morning. Tent pitches on grass in a hollow, but not protected from the wind. There is a very nice little pub.... We were less impressed by the condition of the sanitary facilities, which were a bit old and unkempt. The unconvincing condition of these facilities was pointed out to us when we arrived! We could not understand the three ADAC points for this area. There was construction work going on in the main building, perhaps this is also being rebuilt and the situation will improve - then the place would be good.
