(in the comfort area) The toilets and showers were once again spotlessly clean, even though there were only a few, there was no crowding. Cycle paths all around are easy to reach and you can also get to Kiel or the NE canal quite easily. The bread roll service also worked really well... The sanitary facilities are particularly clean and attractively designed, a bit like a nice bathroom at home :-)
You receive a warm... welcome - we love the Nordic rustic, humorous charm.
The site is located directly on the Kirchsee/the Schwentine with its own canoe rental. We were there with our own kayak and got great tips for tours. You can paddle up the Schwentine to Kiel or in the other direction through several lakes. Nature and wildlife are a dream!
From the campsite you can walk around the lake to Preetz in about 10 minutes, and it's even easier by bike. The campsite is also ideally located for cycling tours or hikes to the Baltic Sea and through Holstein Switzerland. Road cyclists will also get their money's worth. Maps and routes are also available at reception. There are jogging routes for all fitness levels, and there is also outdoor fitness equipment in the direction of Lake Lank. We made the most of everything and had a wonderful rest on the campsite after the active part. Nice, tidy campers on site!
There is a restaurant with a beer garden (run by the owners) right on the campsite, you can sit nicely and eat well, €2-3 too expensive for the individual dishes, but that's manageable due to the location.

What I didn't like was that the access road to the restaurant runs right past the pitches and the suppliers leave the engines running while unloading. The smell of the restaurant is not nice either. Very comfortable and clean sanitary facilities, very well-kept pitches and paths. The canoe rental on the Schwentine belongs to the campsite, we went on a very nice canoe trip to the... Rosensee. The Kirchsee itself (part of the Schwentine) is very close to nature, perfect for canoeing but not very attractive for swimming. What I liked best was the feeling of being welcome.MinusuriThere's really nothing to complain about on the pitch. The access road is quite narrow, which is well compensated for by strict arrival and departure timesThe perfect campsiteWe were guests for a week with our Camplet tent trailer. Despite our rather late arrival, we received a very warm welcome and immediately felt at home. Unfortunately, it was too wet and above all too cold to paddle, but this made it obvious how well laid out and maintained the pitches are. There was... no water anywhere on the pitches, even in heavy rain, and you could get to the tent with clean shoes. We know this differently, because operators often don't put that much effort into maintenance and design. On two days we had a visit from our grandchildren, aged two and four. We were able to experience how child-friendly the campsite is. There is no large, dangerous road nearby and the size of the site makes it easy for children to navigate. There is even a children's toilet, spotlessly clean like all the facilities. A large public playground is a three-minute walk away. We also saw children's vests for paddling, but it was too cold for us with temperatures just above freezing. Although dogs are allowed, you won't find their droppings anywhere. There is a really good dog run on the opposite bank. The way there is a beautiful walk of just under 1 km, which leads over the Wehrberg bridge.
The town center of Preetz is just as dense, always along the Kirchsee shore, where there is a fairly large weekly market with many regional products on two days. The small town even has a movie theater.
It wasn't the first time we've camped here and it won't be the last. Maybe the children will even stay overnight! The site is small, family-run, laid out like a park and it's just a 10-minute walk to the center of the cobbler town of Preetz. There is a weekly market on Wednesdays... and Saturdays. The train takes you from Preetz station to Kiel in about 20 minutes and you can explore everything there. Great cycling routes, even Plön is not far away by bike. As we ride e-bikes, we even cycled around the Großer Plöner See lake from Preetz. A dream! We cycled to the Baltic Sea via the villages in about 1 hour, had an ice cream and fish sandwiches for refreshment and then ended the day in the Bootshaus restaurant right next to the campsite. Our pitch was idyllically situated in the countryside, very well maintained and we were able to relax straight away.
Electricity, water, waste water and showers are included in the price, so we... didn't have to worry about anything.
The sanitary facilities are modern and very clean.
We would come here again at any time and can only recommend this lovingly run family business.

It's easy to arrive and immediately feel at home here. Nice operator family, where everyone does everything (registration, site maintenance, boat rental, return service of the boats, help if you need help and... the technology sometimes spins) we have already had everything and were always supported with words and deeds. A little attention for people and animals at registration, which made us very happy. We like to cycle and are always delighted with the great surroundings. We also enjoyed exploring the water by boat, which is a really good change of pace. Canoe rental right next to the campsite. The town center with plenty of shops is easily accessible by bike and on foot. Also the train station, from where the surrounding towns are easy to visit.

You can also take your food to the pitch and return the dirty plates.
SAT reception was not possible on our pitch.
Nice, clean sanitary building. A second building near the restaurant.
Conclusion: Anyone who would like to visit a well-kept site, surrounded by nature and could do without the TV from time to time, will feel at home here.
