The monitors Alejandro and Saray have been very attentive at all times of the families who were there. They are great people who are a pleasure to meet, because they bring a very good vibe. We have been able to enjoy with the family, disconnect from stress and make friends with other families. The pizzas they prepare are very good and very natural. The bread is also very good. Not having television and little coverage makes you connect better with nature and the place is ideal.

Possibility of having a drink in the rest area of the pool-lake while the kids swim. There could be something more to snack at the bar. The access to the campsite is by an asphalt road not too comfortable.
Family getaway to disconnect.
It has everything you need for a week, 2 adults and 2 children.

In the evening there was no hot water In the night a dozen cars come into the campsite at 4 am. Road to the campsite from Hinojos and the road to El Rocio was just bad for cycling

The last 3 kms of the forest road is not in good shape, the 2nd pool was not working, and water of the pool for the children was not clean (it is clean in early hours).

Insider tip in the middle of the forest
The Donarrayan Park campsite is located in the nature reserve of the same name. Unfortunately, the access road through the pine forest to the campsite is a little bumpy in places and you have a lot of work to do to avoid disappearing into a pothole with your can. But the location of the campsite makes... up for the hardships of the journey. We received a friendly welcome in English at reception. After a brief "check in", we were allowed to choose a pitch. All pitches are approx. 100 m² in size and have an electricity connection. There are plenty of water points dotted around the site. There are several sanitary buildings. One large one (heated in winter) and several smaller ones. There is also a restaurant on the site with typical Andalusian dishes (good value for money) and the very nice pool was unfortunately closed during our visit (December / January). But it looks really great! The campsite is ideal for a visit to Seville (approx. 50 km), Puerto de Santa Maria (approx. 130 km) and of course Cadiz (approx. 150 km). In the surrounding area, El Rocio and the seaside resort of Matalascanas are well worth a visit. In Matalascanas there is also a shifting sand dune (also part of the national park), which can be visited. The national park can be visited at several stations. Off-road trips through the park are also offered. Of course, you can also simply stroll through the forests surrounding the site. I can only recommend this place to people who like to spend time in nature and enjoy peace and quiet. For our next trip to Andalusia, this place is definitely on the list again. Another little tip: There is a great restaurant in Hinojos with great steak dishes (La Choza)!
