Staff: nice staff Good price-performance ratioMinusuriNext supermarket approx. 2 kilometers away.A place to relaxWell-kept site near the Pulvermaar. Very friendly staff. A place to relax surrounded by beautiful nature for hiking, cycling or walking. Good price - performance ratio.Tradus automat.
- Anna. M.April 2024PlusuriQuiet location, in the middle of natureMinusuriIt's a steep climb down to the Pulvermaar, but then it's worth it! WLAN only at the reception.Vacation village PulvermaarYou can have a great time here! Centrally located for many activities and hikes in the area.Tradus automat.
- Inge S.April 2024PlusuriThe campsite is clean and well maintained. The sanitary facilities are very clean. The staff are always friendly and helpful. There are many hiking trails and cycle paths. You can get fresh baked goods every day and you can buy various things in the kiosk. It is very nice to enjoy nature. There is a French translator on site if needed. You can talk so nicely.MinusuriI can't judge at the moment.Evaluation of the vacation village PulvermaarIt is worth a trip if you want to spend a nice and relaxing vacation. You can do a lot or just enjoy nature. You are always treated in a friendly and charming way and it is a relaxed and polite community. I can only recommend it.Tradus automat.
- Ludwig B.March 2024PlusuriNature, slowing down, friendly staff, child-friendlyMinusuriNatural place so also take wedges with youPure natureI'm here quite often, I would describe it as retro camping. Peace and relaxation are the order of the day here. It's like traveling back in time. The site is relatively natural, naturally landscaped with trees and bushes, right next to the Pulvermaar nature reserve. It's not the most modern site, but... everything is there, works and is clean, the staff help with questions and they even speak Dutch. Friends of mine once rented a vacation home and were very satisfied. All in all, I often come here to recharge my batteries and relax. The pitches are not parceled out, so you have plenty of space and, by arrangement, a relatively free choice. Children also get their money's worth, a playground and swimming in the natural outdoor pool about 4-5 minutes' walk away, pedal boating (the highlight of my childhood). In the evening you can enjoy a drink at the Irish Pup in Gillenfeld or a coffee in the afternoon at the reception. Bread roll service, a small kiosk with the most important things campers need. Worth mentioning and very informative are the expert guided tours of the owner, who gives very good guided tours about the formation of the maars, the rocks and the Eifel. There are plenty of excursions and interesting things to do in the area, so you won't be bored!Tradus automat.
- Adrian K.March 2024PlusuriThe site was very clean and well-kept, there are lots of games for children, and the kiosk in reception has a solution for all camping emergencies.MinusuriThe sanitary facilities and bungalows are a bit small and dated.Beautiful family-run campsiteWe stayed as a couple at the Pulvermaar vacation village in March 2024. The host family is very nice and helpful! Due to the time of year, we were almost alone on the site and were able to choose a free pitch, which we found very nice and customer-friendly!
We particularly liked the reception with café... and kiosk, where you can also find lots of information about the region, such as tourist information!
There are several footpaths and a road leading down to the Pulvermaar. However, we recommend walking directly from the campsite. The Pulvermaar is beautiful and perfect for walks!
We were shown the bungalows on site and will try them out in the fall. They are a bit small, but quite cozy.Tradus automat. - Heidi L.July 2023PlusuriBread roll serviceMinusuriThe place is in urgent need of renovation...water connections far away from the pitch....Electricity connections on the upper meadow only two power boxes, and then should be billed according to KW/h, does not fit, because with 4 connections only one meter is in it.... There was a razor in the corner of the shower for two days, which actually says a lot about the cleanliness....later in the evening, you can only go to the toilet in the dark, there is no lightCampsite flop of the yearIf it were possible, I would give the site zero stars...
We were there with two caravans and a folding caravan.
We had to pay 20€ per night for the folding caravan and only 12€ for a caravan with awning...the size doesn't match at all....the prices are just made like that, we asked several times if someone... would come and have a look, nothing happened...we had booked for 10 days, but then decided that we would look for another place so that we wouldn't have to stay there another day...
We were checked to see if we had separated the garbage properly, because the garbage cans were locked, we had to report there.Tradus automat. - Alexander W.July 2020Plusurithe location on the edge of the crater and the shady square, the bread roll serviceMinusuriThe too few, outdated sanitary facilities, the slow service at reception, the visible renovation backlog in many parts of the campsite, WiFi only at receptionQuiet in too many respectsChosen because of its location on the Pulvermaar, the site disappointed us despite its good rating. There were certainly many vacationers there due to the coronavirus, but everything gave the impression that a lot of commitment was invested and built up many years ago, but that renovation, maintenance... and perhaps also modern, digital management are now urgently needed. It was also strange that simple information leaflets cost money and that there was only old, outdated information lying around in a so-called tourist information centerTradus automat.
- Sebastian R.June 2019Plusurifriendly and helpful hosts; central but quiet location; playground centrally located; outdoor pool below the campsiteMinusuriShowers very narrow, coat hooks only in the anteroom;Great place in a breathtaking landscapeThe site is located on the "crater rim" of the Pulvermaar. This means that after a short, steep descent into the "interior", you are right next to the Pulvermaar's outdoor pool. Some of the pitches have a considerable gradient - but you have a fantastic view of the Vulkaneifel (depending on the pitch).... The site operator and his team are very committed. At the reception you can have breakfast, eat, shop and find out about the (natural) history of the area. Tip: There are also guided tours on the subject of volcanoes (rocks)! There is also a stable hotspot in the reception area. There is a centrally located, spacious playground for children. Due to its location, the campsite is an ideal base camp for excursions to the surrounding area. But this campsite is also recommended for quiet and relaxing days without an excursion!Tradus automat.
- Ralf P.May 2018PlusuriProximity to the Pulvermaar swimming poolMinusuriVery poor condition of the bungalow and therefore clearly inadequate price/performance ratioVacation bungalowThe accommodations labeled bungalow are rather large garden houses. Ours was very poorly ventilated. There were lots of mold and mildew stains. We didn't use the bathroom at all. The outbuilding, where the children were supposed to sleep, smelled really musty. The furnishings looked like they had been collected from bulky waste.Tradus automat.
- Sabine Z.August 2017PlusuriQuiet, good connections for excursions, bread roll serviceMinusuriDoes not giveQuiet place, very nice hosts, very central for excursionsQuiet place with nice hosts, bread service on site. Sanitary facilities a bit older, but super clean, washing machine and dryer with coins. Free water on site, hot water for coins, you get a fireproof mat for the barbecue, barbecue 1 € (is not controlled) Waste separation perfect: you always get a bucket... for organic waste and a yellow bag, paper and bottle disposal on site. Our conclusion: the campsite is centrally located for hiking and excursions to museums, the Moselle etc. We were there with our two girls (12 and 15 years old) and were never bored!!! If you need action or children's entertainment on the campsite, you're in the wrong place. The place is quiet and invites you to relax. The Maar around the corner (once downhill) offers swimming, motorboating and pedal boating. Shopping in the nearby neighboring village. We will gladly come back!!!Tradus automat.
- Stefanie H.August 2017PlusuriPrice, location, space. Arrival without reservation.MinusuriSmall but clean sanitary facilities, shower you have to change in the anteroom.Beautiful location, decelerated, relaxedFriendly and relaxed welcome. Beautiful pitches on various meadows on the edge of the Pulvermaar. Bread roll service and a camper-friendly price. Wonderful for hiking + swimming in the natural pool.Tradus automat.
- Diana W.August 2015great place!!!!Friendly staff, everything clean and well-kept, great children's playground and giant trampoline, breakfast roll service, would love to come back!!!Tradus automat.
- Marion M.May 2015PlusuriNice location, friendly operatorMinusuriNo groundsman to enforce compliance with any rest periodNever again Whitsun !The vacation village on the Pulvermaar is beautifully situated and the operators are very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, we were there with a tent over the Whitsun holidays and we won't be doing that again. Surrounded by party people, we had a round-the-clock sound system that was unparalleled... in terms of volume; a core quiet time, at least with the music, even if it was only between 1.00-5.00, would have been great The campsite was almost fully booked, so unfortunately the showers were not sufficient. Despite being busy, it should be praised that it was not dirty. Unfortunately, our campsite was on a slope that could not be compensated for. The location is wonderful, only a few hundred meters and you are at the Maar. In principle, I can recommend the site, but at Whitsun you should either be deaf or hard-drinking to enjoy the hustle and bustle.Tradus automat.
- Sebastian R.May 2015PlusuriConveniently located, beautiful view, quiet on the WoMo parking space, beautiful Pulvermaar, late arrival also possibleMinusuriPoor condition of the sanitary facilities, inadequate cleanliness of the sanitary facilities, tent pitch not suitable for familiesGood parking space - but nothing moreThe parking space at Ferienpark Pulvermaar is perfectly adequate for one night. The motorhome pitch is beautifully situated with a great view. If you have everything on board, you are in good hands there. It's just a bit of a walk to the reception from the pitch. Bread rolls can be ordered in advance... for the next morning. The campsite itself is otherwise quite outdated. The majority are permanent campers with "fixed" caravans. Over Whitsun, the site also seems to be popular with young people who like to drink. The noise level is therefore very high. Fortunately, this cannot be heard on the Womo pitch. The sanitary facilities are in urgent need of an overhaul. Many things are broken. No hot water in the showers and washroom.Tradus automat.
- Peter T.May 2015PlusuriQuiet, beautiful landscape, natural place, Jürgen and Beate super friendly and helpful.MinusuriShowers not sufficient, no restaurant anymore, barbecue costs 2€ per barbecue 2€ per barbecue,Whitsun very loud until 5 o'clock >in the morning, groundskeeper not thereIncredible barbecue costs €2 per barbecueI have never experienced this before, barbecuing with your own charcoal barbecue costs €2 on the motorhome site and on the campsite (how is this monitored? barbecue police). The shower tokens for the motorhome site now cost €2. 2 showers are not enough when the pitch is normally occupiedTradus automat.
- Adrian K.March 2015PlusuriServices Course information Cleanliness of the siteMinusuriDistance to the next town (shopping facilities) A bit boring in the evening1a service at a great price! We were in the vacation village in March 15, of course the place was empty and not very busy, but we could always reach someone and make full use of the facilities. The apparently new guest house has countless brochures and information about the region. It is a very pleasant place to have breakfast -... highly recommended during the cooler months! The sanitary facilities were in good condition, and we were personally very pleased with the washing machine and dryer! We would gladly stay again!Tradus automat.
- Ute K.September 2014PlusuriFrom here you can easily explore the Volcanic Eifel.MinusuriThe sanitary facilities were always open and unheated despite the cold mornings and evenings.Beautiful place in a beautiful locationThe campsite is very well run and friendly, everything is clean. The small restaurant also offers a good breakfast and you shouldn't miss Dr. Fetten's guided tour on Sunday evenings - very nice and, above all, very informative.Tradus automat.
- andre c.August 2014paymentWe were surprised to have to pay in cash even though we had a mastercard. Does the manager not declare certain campers? especially if they are foreigners? We had communicated by internet and were not warned of the works in the village which were practically impassable with our caravan.Tradus automat.
- Tanja S.June 2014Plusuribeautiful view, children and family friendly. Dogs are also welcome.Minusurisomewhat remoteSuper friendly, clean.... all in all SUPERWe received a very polite and friendly welcome. We were allowed to choose a pitch ourselves (from 3 pitches shown) and then decided on the meadow at the entrance. Direct electricity connection and sanitary building in the immediate vicinity. Playground very clean and also in a central location. There... was a bread roll service in the morning. In addition to this there is the possibility to have a balanced breakfast in the house. (several choices available). Furthermore, a small insight into the volcanism in the Eifel was given free of charge. Very friendly staff. Very child-friendly. Sanitary facilities very clean. We were there for 4 nights and were honestly sad that the time went by so quickly. A few minutes walk to the Pulvermaar. (There are various possibilities there [pedal boating, rowing, swimming, hiking etc.].Tradus automat.
