I can only warmly recommend the campsite! The facilities are simply excellent: the sanitary facilities were always clean and well maintained. And best of all, all the activities on offer are free and included in the price. So you really get a lot on offer. Simply great!

The children love it and we also have a vacation as parents
We love the place! The children are kept busy all day and are well looked after. They quickly make new friends and we parents (5 children including 3 disabled foster children) also have some time for ourselves! We love it at Whitsun, some other campers don't because of the music! But they have to get through it!

Really great for children
We've been there several times now. Our children (6+4) want to go there again and again.
The entertainment is really great. Everyone really has fun there. The kids are so well
busy all day long.
The sanitary facilities are fine. Not the newest
But they always make sure that everything is clean.
If they... can manage it with so many campers.
All in all, I can really only recommend the site.
Especially with children. But even without you get your money's worth.

The offer for the children is very large it is all inclusive everything has dirt and risk of injury.

The playgrounds for the children are very outdated, broken and dirty and pose a risk of injury to the children. There are metal parts in the ground at the miniclub playground that are not cordoned off or secured, where children can seriously injure themselves. All the facilities at the campsite are dirty, soiled and broken. Despite several warnings that metal parts could lead to injuries for the children, these were not removed or cordoned off. The sanitary facilities were dirty and renovated. Does not mean the same. We put a bit of paint on the cabins, which was also very badly done.
Absolutely outdated and dirty
We were there as a small family. The location of the campsite on the two lakes is wonderful. You can enjoy the beautiful nature but we didn't like our stay at the campsite at all.
First of all, we were booked on the wrong date and then we ended up on a pitch between permanent campers. And there we first... had to collect garbage and dig a metal eyelet from a former garden fence out of the ground, as this also posed a massive risk of injury. When we approached the campsite staff, they simply accepted this.

The sanitary facilities have not been renovated, but the walls have simply been badly painted. They are also dirty, even though the cleaning staff had gone through them shortly before.
And unpleasant odors were noticeable at all times of the day.

The entire staff, whether in the play area or in front of and near the children, smoke.

There are many attractions for the children. However, they are very outdated and in many places broken and dirty.
The horse riding is very nicely designed, but even there the garbage containers are next to the riding stables, although there would be room to create a proper garbage area!

Unfortunately, the night's rest was not respected either. However, we also went there. There were no consequences and no security service was engaged.

With a little love you could really make something of the place!

We won't be coming back like this.

We were so disappointed!
Pay cash on arrival - no possibility of reimbursement in the event of complaints. All-in offers unkempt such as bouncy castles, mini golf, playgrounds and KidsClub. KidsClub without supervision - parents have a duty of supervision. Little cleaning of the sanitary facilities and almost no family showers.... Despite renovation, rotten floor drains. No maintenance of the pitch/beach by mowing the lawn or similar. Stuffed containers and garden waste storage at the stables. Uncontrolled entrance/exit to the complex. WLAN only on three plastic chairs at reception. Restaurant dark and unkempt. The foam on the beach from a campaign remained there for days, turned gray-brown and stank. You can easily plan an hour's wait to register for horseback riding. Permanent pitches/plots look neglected and abandoned. Minimal shopping facilities.

Playgrounds outdated, pitches very patchy. We filled the holes with sand ourselves! The homepage is totally dazzling, all day animation offered for children, but that is only from time to time! Horse riding: wait in line for 1 hour to be able to ride for 20 - 30 minutes.
Very outdated
Significant investment is needed here! Wash house 1 very run down. The lake is okay. We are still here but will definitely be leaving early. Unfortunately I can't recommend this place.

The campsite is very old, which is not so bad. But it is rotten everywhere. On weekdays the sanitary facilities were not cleaned from Tue-Fri. The worst campsite we've been to so far.

After reading some of the comments here, I have to give mine too. We planned a meeting that didn't turn out the way we had hoped. So we only have 2 caravans on 2 pitches next to each other. There is nothing wrong with them. It was mowed and there was plenty of space. You can't blame the owners for previous... campers leaving their dirt lying around. The sanitary buildings are very outdated, but they were cleaned in the morning and evening.
However, the fact that some showers only have cold water is unpleasant, unfortunately I found this. I'm sure the operator could fix that. It's also not so great that you get the neighbor's stink all over your feet while showering. Getting in and out of the shower is a challenge. That's why I went into the wash cubicle after showering.

But that's not tragic, on the whole it's very relaxing and quiet here. A paradise for children (we no longer have any).
The little town of Haselünne is well worth a visit, and the distilleries are fun too. There's also a lot to discover in the surrounding area.

Those who long for peace and quiet on days like Whitsun should not camp. In our experience, these holidays are noisy almost everywhere. We prefer to stay at home.

I don't understand why the operators don't accept card payments. That's a real shame. There are cheaper options these days.

By the way, the place is quite cheap!

Camping is still the order of the day here... That's what camping is for us... Everything is simple and not very modern... And the fact that the shower is sometimes cold is also part of it... Especially on days like Whitsun, you have to expect that not everything is perfect. If... I want everything to be clean and perfect, I go to a hotel and not camping... The cleaning lady did her best and it felt like she was at the wash house all day... We found it very nice with you and the party noise at Pentecost... All good, you weren't allowed to do anything for 2 years, now you can enjoy life again and that also goes for camping...

Noise and booze tourism
Not a family campsite
In general, the campsite is in a pretty run-down state. Nothing to see or notice of comfort. The play equipment is dirty, partly broken. Washrooms partly closed. Showers only with cold water. Toilets partly dirty. The worst thing was the noise. On 2 meadows there was loud partying and shouting into the... night. At 10am the first people were already in the bathroom with beer bottles. From 16.00 onwards, the first people could no longer see straight and staggered across the square. With big jukeboxes and bottles of schnapps, of course. This campsite is not a family campsite, as it is presented on the website. On the contrary, it is frequented by party seekers and large groups. There was no quad biking. The horses were in the paddock and could only be ridden in a small area. There was no horse riding. We will definitely not be going there again.

Camping site ok. Location right next to two lakes. Payment unfortunately only possible in cash. No card payments available. Kiosk very small. Restaurant on site, gyros etc. Prices are very reasonable. The place itself is getting on in years. Playground equipment suitable for kids, but everything very... dirty. Sanitary facilities outdated, very dirty. Energy supply, electricity, water and waste water included in the price. Staff very friendly and helpful. Attractions as presented on the homepage unfortunately not available, horseback riding and quad biking over Pentecost unfortunately not possible. Nature camping booked. Disco, music and alcohol excesses received. Unfortunately very, very loud all day, well into the night. Relaxation not possible at all. Alcohol and loud music the order of the day. I can't find any comfort camping here. This site is not recommended.

Our children have a lot of fun here and don't want to leave because there are many things for the kids to do all day such as sliding, handicrafts, horse riding and much more come by and have a look with your children we can only recommend it to others The whole staff is very nice and very friendly no matter what, they always help you immediately no matter what you have. All the beach parties are really great and the other shows like the fire breathing clown are really worth coming by We can only recommend it

Not recommended for children at Whitsun. Not the newest place so nothing for "luxury campers"! The pub/owner is very unfriendly but fortunately you have little to do with him.

A paradise for children :-)
This campsite is highly recommended for families with children. Quad biking for children! Hooverboard rides, water slides at the swimming lake right next to the campsite, then a locomotive for the children drives over the square, in the miniclub there is always something to do, carousels and bouncy castles... and all this is included in the price "allinclusive"! Free horse riding for the whole family, then a clown comes for the children and... and .....and.... There is no other place where there is so much fun for the children. We always come back :-)

The place is rather unkempt.
Beautiful for children
Playground small but our children 3 and 5 loved it. It was fenced in and only had one exit.

The bouncy castle at the Mini Club was open from around 10am until 11pm.

Mini golf and two other bouncy castles including a ball pool were available from 10am to 12pm and 3pm to 6pm.

The miniclub was not very... inviting for our children.
We did not take advantage of the entertainment there.

We were lucky that in the 4 days we were there, there was a children's entertainment program by an external artist on 3 evenings.

On Friday, a small train ran around the resort for most of the day. The children really enjoyed this.

We did not make use of the pony rides.

The lake at the campsite was very nice. There is also a small playground there.

The sanitary facilities are getting on in years and could be repaired a bit (new joints, lamp covers etc.).
The cleaning staff cleaned the toilets and mopped the floors several times a day.

We had electricity and water directly at the pitch

Many corners were untidy.
You could tidy up, sweep, weed and trim hedges more often.

There was also a lot of garbage lying around (for which I would blame the guests rather than the operators) but a few garbage cans would be useful.

The kiosk is not very inviting. But you can buy ice cream and sandwiches, sweets etc.

There were groups on the nature campsite that were a bit louder. But in our opinion it was within reason.
The dogs were louder.

The vacation was wonderful for our children.
If the operators took a little more care of the site, it would be recommended for families with children.
For vacationers looking for peace and quiet, the place is not really suitable, as laughing children are part of everyday life here.

It's unbelievable how much the night's rest is shat upon, you could be forgiven for thinking you were at an open-air party.

Comfort camping???
The campsite is in a pretty run-down state.
Due to the corona pandemic, the site only opened weeks later, so there would have been plenty of time to clean up, i.e. prune bushes and hedges, remove weeds, cut down dead trees, repair the electricity boxes, repair the leaking taps in the scullery, fix toilets... and toilet seats properly...... Unfortunately, this opportunity was not taken up.
The sanitary facilities were reasonably clean (because of Corona??) but are in no way a place where you like to go. Even the much-praised rain showers on the homepage don't help. The narrow ledge in the showers on which you stand and get undressed and dressed is dangerous in my opinion, especially for older people. If someone starts to slip, they can have a nasty fall.
We never once had really hot water in the washing-up area.
The only positive thing about the campsite is the location. There are many opportunities for cycling in the surrounding area.
