Sanitary facilities: very poor
Getting on in years
Public transportation options for getting to the sights are rather poor. You have to rely on a car or bicycle. The restrooms are in desperate need of renovation. However, the campground’s location by the lake is good.

It was very quiet. The place was very clean and hygienic. The staff run by the campground operators were nice, and the girls at the Goya restaurant were also very friendly and easygoing.
Minusuri
Unfortunately, some guests don't know how to behave properly. But you see that at other campgrounds, too.
5 Lakes Run in Schwerin
We were in Schwerin’s Castle Park for the 5 Lakes Run and were guests at the Süduferperle for the first time.
We had a wonderful spot right by the reed bed, and from morning until evening we were able to watch and listen to the territorial battles between the little grebes and the great crested grebes.... The mallards visited us on shore with their young and tried to snag a tasty treat.
It’s a beautiful, small campground.
We especially appreciated the hygiene and cleanliness.
The couple who run the campground were very friendly.
The girls at the Goya restaurant on the campground are open and very nice.
We’d love to come back next year for a longer stay and are already looking forward to it.
We can’t understand the reviews from other campers regarding the price and shower times.

We really liked the small, quiet place by the lake.
Minusuri
If anything then maybe the shower area is missing something to put down in the showers.
Nice week
We felt very comfortable on this pitch. The peace and quiet and the view of Schwerin were great.

There is nothing positive to say about the space.
Minusuri
Signs everywhere telling you what NOT to do, unfriendly camp manager, unfriendly service in restaurant, narrow supply and not very suitable for large towing. It is very clear that the campsite prefers permanent campers. We saw a Danish couple driving just over 6 km per hour when the barrier was slammed right in front of them.
Stay at Sudoferperle in Swerin
A place we will never return to!
Showering costs money, even if you pay high prices for accommodation and electricity in high season.

clean, directly on the lake, quiet

6 € electricity flat rate per day is overpriced, sanitary facilities in need of renovation, when it rains the pitches near the lake are under water, considerable and deep potholes in the access road and on the pitch, there is no shortage of prohibitions and behavioral instructions
beautiful location
you could make more of the place, the restaurant is good, but also not cheap, about 8km by bike via bike path to Schwerin

Prices for using the showers(2€) Electricity flat rate per night(>6€)
Location to the city center
The campsite is ok if you are prepared to pay a high flat rate for electricity and 2€ for the showers. the bistro is not one of the cheapest either. the sanitary facilities were clean, but otherwise minimalist and cramped.

A great place where there is space for everyone: Permanent campers, holidaymakers and tenters are spread out harmoniously across the site.

The view over the lake is simply brilliant! The peace and quiet on the site is very relaxing, also thanks to the dog ban.
Minusuri
Strict (unnecessary) rules - you feel very controlled!
Very scenic place
A really fantastic location! We were lucky enough (for a small surcharge) to get a pitch in the first row, with its own jetty. The pitch was very small and on arrival we were told straight away how to position the caravan. It was very tight with the awning... We would have found it more sensible if it... had been crosswise! The groundsman and his wife were not unfriendly but very firm. A smile would do them both good :)
Unfortunately, the showers are not very user-friendly. Very little space to put/hang up your things inside the cubicle. But tip top clean - I found that much more important!
It's quite a long bike ride to Schwerin, but it's a nice route so you're always on the move. The restaurant on the square offers really great food, so we also liked to stay there in the evening and ate there!
We will definitely be back again! The peace and quiet is very pleasant and thanks to the dog ban, the only thing that wakes you up is the birdsong.

Centrally located beautiful view, directly on the water...
Minusuri
Unfriendly operator.
Questionable handling of camping customers...
After a nice previous telephone registration we were asked on site on 06.07.2022 to make our registration with mask.
Friendliness of the staff was destroyed by the owner with unfriendliness. We are astonished and do not let ourselves be treated like this as people and as customers. It is a pity that... some people did not understand what was split in Corona. We wish the owner much success with his arrogant manner, good health and happiness for his future!

The location on a headland that juts out into the beautiful Schwerin Lake and offers beautiful sunsets against the backdrop of Schwerin Castle is very beautiful!
Minusuri
I didn't like everything else!
Great location, but that's it!
The pitches were far too small, allowing no privacy, far too few, outdated sanitary facilities that were often dirty, too few electricity and water connections, and an impossible host for whom manners, hospitality or politeness were not part of his upbringing! My dog had the cheek to urinate just before... the barrier, and the groundsman... er, groundskeeper then hurled veritable tirades of hatred at me, which should have been punishable by law! I have never experienced such an unsuitable "host"!
The Süduferperle is actually in a very beautiful location, but I can only advise everyone against this place! It doesn't cost much, but you have to put up with some unworthy restrictions!

To spend a night here for a relaxing break, the place is fine!
Dogs are now banned, thank goodness! *irony off
And there's nothing for children here either!

Never again!

Sanitary facilities too small, no space to change and store things somewhere dry. Small pitches. No bread roll service.
Price performance does not fit
The place was chosen by us because of the program on NDR
The communication was good.
They were helpful in solving the bread roll problem. We were slightly puzzled by the price, especially after we had showered.
Why is showering only included free of charge abroad (Fr,Es)?

Hygiene Cleanliness friendliness
No place to feel good
I give 2 points, one for the location and a 2nd for the honesty.
A very beautifully situated site.
The pitches are very small and you are almost wall to wall with your neighbor. Hygiene and cleanliness are in vain here, once a day is cleaned, cobwebs everywhere, you walk slalom on them and in the grass... you constantly have wet feet because it is too high.
The washbasin was already dirty at 6am and at 12:30 it still looked like that.
You can only leave the pitch through a barrier which is only opened by the groundsman and he is not always there straight away.
I felt like I was in the 80s, everything was checked like this, if you invest this time in hygiene, then it could be really nice. We definitely won't be going there again.

Plusuri
Close to the water, beautiful surroundings, lots of forest
Minusuri
Poor sanitary facilities, small pitches, little service
beautiful location, but in need of renovation in many areas
The site is located directly on the water and is surrounded by a lot of forest.
The pitches are very tightly spaced
(approx. 60 m²) so that there is hardly any privacy.
The sanitary facilities are in great need of renovation (70s/80s style) and are more than tight.
Only 3 shower cubicles and 2 washbasins... in the men's area. The shower token costs €1 for 3 minutes. If you want to shower longer, you have to leave the cubicle after 3 minutes and go to the sanitary anteroom to insert another shower token. The water pressure is also more than poor and the shower heads are so calcified that only a little water comes out of the shower heads. You should also prepare everything beforehand so that the 3 minutes shower time is sufficient. The probability of standing under the shower with a shampooed head and suddenly running out of water is quite high.
The boiler for hot water is so small in the showers as well as in the dishwashing house that it sometimes happens that there is not enough hot water for showering or washing up.
The toilet facilities are also outdated and in need of an overhaul.
All in all, we will not be staying here again. There are much better and higher quality campsites in the region where the price/performance ratio is right.
Due to a private situation, we had to end our vacation there and leave. Even in this situation, the operator showed little willingness to offset the money already paid on arrival for 10 nights + electricity against the actual stay. We were only refunded 4 nights for 2 of the 10 nights we had planned to stay. We therefore paid 162 euros for 2 nights with electricity.
The operator's argument was that he had not accepted many requests and had therefore suffered a personal financial loss. Anyone who is currently requesting pitches knows how high the demand currently is at
Covid 19 is.

Dog-hostile, difficult tenant family
We spent four days on the site.
The tenant family is simply impossible. The daughter of the family in the reception is a mixture of rudeness, arrogance and arrogance. My dog lifted his leg on a hedge in the square. I'm sorry I didn't notice that. That led to an altercation. The choleric groundsman shouted... at me, insulted me as an "old bag" and with the support of the police (I had the impression that the older policeman was a good acquaintance of the family) expelled me from the site.

Dear Mr. B.,

You are absolutely right about one thing, we had to enforce our domiciliary rights with the help of the police.
Sad enough!
And yes, we are happy to do without guests like you!

Yours sincerely

Very nice location on the lake and to the city of Schwerin, some very good cycle paths.
Minusuri
Very few pitches, lots of unevenness, high grass, no restaurant, no bread service, the last 400m very narrow and confusing access road. Too few showers, showers only possible with shower token (1€ 3 minutes), no cold showers possible without shower token.
Natural
Very, very natural campsite, it could be a great place with a little effort from the operator.

- great location on the lake - good PLV - very quiet - good location for excursions
Minusuri
- WLAN only in the reception area - no leisure activities - Only partially suitable for children
Small and fine
We, an adult with a child (11), used the campsite's tent meadow for 3 days. The location on the southern shore of Lake Schwerin is very idyllic. There is a bathing area right next to the site. The tent meadow is divided into 2 areas, one directly on the lakeshore, the other a little set back, protected... by high hedges. You can bring your own car to the tent in both areas. The size of the sanitary building corresponds to the size of the pitch. Everything is clean and well-maintained, and hot water is used in the showers via separate coins. There is a small restaurant directly in front of the campsite, which also offers a bread roll service if ordered in advance.
